My 200SX is faster than an MR-2 and it weighs more ! The optimum engine size depends on the weight of the car and the performance criteria - it's all down to physics. The 300ZX is not a rally car, hence it has a 3-litre TT engine for high top speed and lots of power. A 2-litre engine is usually better for racing (eg. Subaru Impreza) because the car is lighter and won't go at excessive speeds. A bigger engine provides less proportional power to increased mass, but the optimum engine size depends on the car's overall mass and what the performance criteria are. Engine size is a limiting factor, but engine design also plays a big part.

After a little drive today I noticed green water, which I think is coolant, dripping from the front of the passenger side. It looks like its coming from behind the intercooler. The radiator water level is fine, but I will keep my eye on it. Any ideas what it could be? Had the coolant bottle broke or could it just be a split pipe? Any help please. Thanks. Stuart

Hello Andy. I bought a few bits from you a while ago and was hoping you could help me again. I need a Nearside front upper wishbone, my car failed the MOT because the bush on this was worn to excess I wouldn't normally put something like this on second hand but I need a Quick fix temporarily. If you can help me drop me an email or reply here. Cheers Lee

I'm no engine/car expert, but surely a 3-litre twin turbo has more potential power than a 2.6 ? litre twin turbo. Is it that the skyline has a less cramped engine bay ? Why aren't there 1000+ BHP ZX's ?

  21. I have all the bits required to do the conversion except the pedal box including the pedal pumbs. I am in Cyprus at the moment and I have looked everywhere and I couldnt find any. Can somebody help me find any in UK? I'll pay for all the cost including shipping. I've heard that 200SX pedals are exactly the same as 300ZX. Is it true? I'll really appreciate it if somebody give a little bit of help.

Anyone fried eggs on their bonnet after a reasonably long run ?! I got rid of the sound insulation on the inside and now the bonnet gets really hot - it could do with a vent. Anyone put in a vent (cooling not an intake like Subaru's have)like most other turbocharged cars have, as they run so bloody hot - no wonder the oil needs changing more often !! Same goes for my 200SX. It also makes you wonder how much hotter the engine must get when you significantly increase the engine power and boot the car. Thinking of using my engine to heat the house in the winter instead of the central heating boiler !

My car is stock but I want to upgrade air filter, exhaust and CPU to allow engine to be breath and function as efficiently as possible. I read about Dastek's UNICHIPs and they sound really good - has anyone got any experience of them and/or can compare them against other chip upgrades ?
