not 2 sure bout this one fellas ive had stage 1 turbo technics turbos fitted a short while ago and noticed they whistle ever so slightly the same as say a turbo disel makes but a bit quieter, my old turbos didnt whistle at all but they were knackerd anyway should i b worried or is it all hunky dorri???

hi guys ive had an ALC unit installed and im sure i read somewhere that in the ALC box there is 2 lights(red and green)now when you change gear these lights are supposed to change,indicating that it is changing gear? is this right as ive just pulled my ALC BOX out so i could check and the red light just stays on constant ,can anybody help?jay

Firstly, really good to meet all you Zedsters in sunny Horton at the pub. We had an excellent meet-up, pub was an excellent choice (nice one Gio) and fantastically accomodating to the Jap invasion. Guys, One of my hoses from engine block to metal outlet housing/pipe is leaking similar to problem you've had. Not sure if the hose is at fault or far clip not working. Steam was escaping from there when the water got hot and almost emptied all the coolant. I had to refill her twice today and up to a point any water I poured in would leak at the hose. Hi all, does anyone know the difference in length and in weight between a swb zx and a 2+2 zx, was up at zedworld on sat with couple other zeds and my swb seems a lot shorter and lighter,so relativley speaking my power to weight ratio should be better than a 2+2,thanks Tonyc.

well I finally get to meet the guys off the forum and spoke the immortall words the other day the zed has never let me down........................................................until today I was that hapless bloke sunning himself on the614 2 miles from thoresby hall with the bonnet up and a faulty cas unit which totally fucked me off. but got recovery wagon to fetch me to the show and hang about whilst i looked around. nice to meet some of the guys on this forum, next time my car will join me on the grass, cos it was very embarrasing whatching them corsa boys blasting by laughing....

Check this out for a nifty gadget!!!! I know someone who's invented a clear plastic piece of perspex that goes over the rear reg plate ,It turns white at the flick of a switch from your dashboard, he drives through speed and traffic cameras at any speed and at any time!!! totally undetectable, I've seen it in action it's awesome can u imagine the fun u could have with it!!!!!! At the moment he only designs them 4 regular regular plate sizes BUT I'm getting one made for my import. He usually knocks them out for £150 but if i get a group order for ten of them , then its £100. Anyone interested????

Just got back from JAPS at Thoresby park exellant turn out of zeds execpt for travelling down my car goes into safty boost so after talking to a few guys they tell me how to bypass the prob with a 1 meg resister anyways i carnt get hold of one till monday so i diconnected the battery for half an hour to reset ecu and on the way home it cums off safty boost, Is this right does this cure the problem or will it happen again.Plus it dets a little when i push it really hard. What could be on the way out, my clutch seems to judder when setting of in first but only when it's cold - warm. When up to temp it clears and is fine onwards??# cheerss

I have install an oil pressure meter and an oil temp meter what should be the readings and at what reading my car have or may have a problem?

I have install a jwt chip in my auto and the rev limiter has gone up to 7400 7500 revs can't tell exaclty is there a way to change my auto ecu program so that it changes the gear at that revs and it's going to be better if i do that?

I have no indicators! The headlight flash still works. Is there a fuse? I've looked but can't see one. The dash indicator display, doesn't work either! (I think)

Dustcovers. What a bunch of tossers. I haven't driven my Z for 4 weeks now and they just cant leave alone. I feel a hidden camera comin on and an A4 laminated message coming on to be wedged under one of the Wheels. Any body got any good ideas for a message? Having seen an interest in these kits in the tech Forum, I'm blatently plugging my friends business here. In my defence I've been on the periphery of Nitrous for 10 years and know all of the bull talked about it. I've also seen several 'experts' destroy some very nice (read expensive) engines that they don't own... I know I'm biased, but these guys will give you good advice, and good service, at real world money. My engine is having to come out and may need a rebuild. In case this is going to take a long time does anyone have a running engine spare they want to sell? It needs to be a complete unit including everthing so that I can take one lump out for the rebuild and put another temporary one in its place. Unfortunately my engine seems to have gone bang at a rolling road session. The tuning guy was revving the engine and he detected detonation. Reduced the boost by 0.1bar and still no high revs. Then big puff of dark smoke from the n/s exhaust and would not rev past 4000rpm. Jeff took out the plugs and 5 of them had no top metal bar. New plugs in and the engine was idling really lumpy and ticking badly too. I have taken the car to get the compression tested but it looks like some damage up top. Question. I have a clonk coming from the middle of the car over bumps in the road. Feels like a heavy mass moving about (I.e. you feel it as much as hear it.) and is worse under power. I was initaly suspicious of engine / box mounts, but cant find any issues. I'm now suspicious of the prop centre mount (which looks tired). Car has had a box fitted recently, but as far as I can tell there are no issues with the installation. Anyone out there suffered a similar fate? Are these symptoms relevant to my thoughts? What kind of job is this to do? I know it means taking the exhasts off (again!!) but does the prop split relatively straigtforward? Thanks in a…

Hi mate, Macca should hopefully have given you my lights for the upgrade doing. One of the mounts is broken on the passenger side one and I was wondering if you can fix it or let me know what parts are needed whilst they are off the car? Cheers! Chris.
