Folks I am no expert on what kind of equipment or money it takes to run a thriving forum these days. I know when 300zx.co.uk goes down it is a pisser, lots of folks come here and often rely on 300zx.co.uk for advice and camaraderie... its a great meeting place for like minded petrol heads to chat and yarn, arrange meets, get tech advice, share ideas and thoughts and most importantly for some - buy and sell their products and wares. I myself would not have my TT without this place and sure as hell would not be able to keep it running so sweet without 300zx.co.uk Sure I could go to twinturbo.net and read the FAQ but that FAQ would be worth shit without s…

you can buy an application extention for the hks ssqv blow off valves! has anyone used this ? basically it makes ya bovs back into recircs !, HKS SSQV Re-Circulation Fitting inserts enable the SSQV to reroute discharged compressed air back into the intake stream to create a closed loop system to prevent bogging / stumbling of rich air/fuel ratio conditions in mass-air sensor equipped vehicles not sure if this is available for our zeds yet,and im not sure if people would be interested .but to me even tho an expensive option it should sort out my honk noise problems. has anyone done this yet?

Got most of the way to fitting a blitz airfilter, took the top of the airbox off and took the AFM off but i cant get the bottom half of the airbox off. It is attached by four brackets. I managed to get the two easy brakets off but the two lower ones are near impossible. Is it just a very fidly job or is there an easy way to get it off. Cheers Tristan

I've got my MOT in august and I have 2 huge holes through the pipes on the bends before the back box. I'm going to miss these holes as it sounds superb but will be a definate fail. The system looks like a HKS Super Drager but isn't stainless. I need to either patch it up or look at getting a new system. More cash! What can I get that has huge single outlets and is really loud? Also want de-cat pipes so does anyone do a rear section that includes the cat pipe all in one? Seems stupid paying extra for another straight piece and more joins...

Thanks to Geoff for sorting out my Zed after a local garage screwed up- or rather NOT screwed the screws and crack shaft pulley nut tight. The car was making some weird noises after I got it back home from my local garage and was very pissed off. I thought they screwed it up major and was almost in tears. First port of call was Geoff. He did not disappoint me apart from informing me my brake pads need replacing soon....I thought they were fine but....oh well. The car sounds great again so cheers Geoff. Laterz, Van

Hi Guy's Wonder if you can help. I'm on my second ZXTT and both have had this annoying problem (first TT got chopped in half when the back stepped out and hit a Mondeo in the other direction! - won 4 x Toyos from Max Power for Star Letter though so that was OK) Problem is with tick over. It is usually about 800rpm with air-con switched on, and drops to about 600-700 with air-con off. Frequently jumps to 1100+ for no reason. Wouldn't be such a problem but most of my jorneys are in the rush hour at Hangar Lane!! This means I launch towards the car in front all the time and have to drag the brakes. Had a full 60K service by Nissan main dealer (oh dear) and they had no id…

Ok.... following on from my previous thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/ubbforum/Forum1/HTML/008063.html I'm Running very rich at low revs, but lean at righer rpm - such that i'm getting pre-det whenever I reach about 12/14psi, but loads of unburnt fuel at low rpm (555 injectros and ecu btw) I'm gonna do a ECU giag later to see if that high lights anything. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I might check? Is there any test I can do on the MAF, TPS, etc?? Can anyone recommend a decide rolling road turner - who won't blow my engine up in the the suffolk / essex area? Mucho Appreciato Smokey Joe (Simon)

I get this whining noise from the back end of the car at between about 80 and 90 mph. It's difficult to locate the exact position of the noise ie if it's on a wheel side or from inside the diff somewhere.
