ivor little un!!!

problem that is p**sing right off!!,When i drive off from cold early morning etc.The car has been stood all night i get a vibration between 20-60ish mph.Mainly under load, but you can feel it even when lifting off.I've had it since getting the car 6mths ago.It clears up a bit if you give it some stick(not from cold i like my engine). But drive for more than 30 mins or so and it seems to go away???What does anyone think?or have you had the same problem?? at first i thought it eas a miss fire but the engine run so sweet(not chipped???)propshaft was next i thought(nothing wrong here no run out probs etc.)but surely it would do it all the time if it was the prop??.So next i changed the diff oil it looked ok(no metal particals)no excesive play(car has done 90k).Drive shafts seem ok,not bent or twisted(a common prob with high hp cars),SO now has anybody got any idea's coz i'm getting annoyed(i'm thinking just change the f*****g lot gearbox ,prop, diff, shafts i'll cure the t**t)any thoughts ,help, idea's,parts would be...well...helpful! CHEERS!! P.S it does it in 2nd,3rd,4th,and 5th!! so i don't think it could be the box???changed oil, same again it looked ok.. ummmmmmm....that's about all i can tell you!!

Mine did this until I replaced the propshaft centre bearing. It's worth a try.

the same?? nice it's a new prop bearing then, only about 60 quid?? i think

Erm, about ยฃ150 I think ! Rear gearbox mount is about ยฃ50 which might be the next option.

But why only when cold???if it's just mounts or a prop bearing???????????

Well, I dunno. But, the bearing obviously heats up due to the movement of the prop, plus it's over the exhausts. All I can say is your symptoms sound virtually identical to mine and that's what cured it. A guy called Gio on this forum has the same problem. If you search his old posts and find his web site he has documented the steps he's taken so far.

ok CHEERS!!!I'll give it a look eek.gif
