Not sure if this has been posted before but I thought I'd do so to hopefully save anyone the potential hassle that I've had. They arrived quickly and looked great however, when I tried to fit them I found they were too big. It looks like the measurements were taken without allowing for the silicone hose adapters. Hi guys i seem to have a problem with the hicas,when i turn on the engine after a few seconds i hear like a rush of fluid and air from under the car.Would there be air in the system,and how can i bleed it.Also the hicas light is on on the dash.Thanks all

Hi guys,i have a question about the timing,so i got a consult cable and free software along with it.On the software it shows IGN TIMING and in a box across from it 0 BTDC,My question is,can i set the timing going buy the software so it shows 15 degrees BTDC on the software,as i dont have a timing light.Thanks guys:pint:

So I've had a pesky oil leak for some time now, it's got to be dealt with. Sadly it's in just about the worst place possible, the oil filter tree. So today I started, I've learnt a few things already. It's damn near impossible to remove the top bolt of the starter motor without a 1/2" UJ, I say damn near, I did manage it. Next up the top two down pipe bolts also require a 1/2" UJ (guess what I'm off to halfords for tomorrow afternoon) In summary, the actuator arm completly blocks the top bolts of the filter tree, and the bolts to remove the actuator are also in a PITA location, hopefully removing the water pipe will allow access. Hi Guys, my handbrake is in a state of non function. no matter how high up you pull it, it just doesn't work. i have removed the rear wheels and adjusted the "star" wheel as instructed but this does nothing to improve the efficiency of the brake. Now im reading about a nut under the brake handle itself, now before i dismantle the dashboard and console is adjusting this nut going to help or do i have a REAL problem. Rich

Iv a misfire in cylinder 5 took the leads off the coilpacks 1 by 1 everyone dropped in revs except number 5 switched the plug from 5 to a good one no joy switched the coilpack with a good one no joy took the coilpack out with sparkplug and it sparked so it is getting power to coilpack have a spare ecu tried that no joy Any ideas what to try next injector? Or is there anything else iam missing Any help thanks

Well good couple of days getting the zed ready for paint,all welding and filling done. Now sanding ready to for priming,i have used 1200 sandpaper on old paint to key primer to the paint is this right or do i wet and dry it as well? I know between primer coats i have to wet and dry it using 1200 but do i do this before applying primer? How many coats of primer do i give before top coats and how many top coats would you say i apply? Any advice would be greatly appreciated:-)

As you can see from my previous thread ive tried various things to try and work out the problem Someone mentioned limp mode. Could this be the cause? If so how do you get it out of limp? Tried ecu diagnostic comes up 55 clear.. the reason why im thinking this is that when Im im in drive it goes from 1st to 2nd while im in 2nd a fairly high revs u can feel the car hesitating to change but doesn't then if I put it into 2nd you can actually feel the engine-gearbox take the strain as such. Hi guys, well i finally sold my gearbox damaged germanic pile of crap called a BMW to 2 latvian guys from sheffield. So with the sale done we started searching the auto websites for a decent Zed, Easier said than done, good ones to expensive, bad ones to cheap. Then on some obscure auto sale site was an advert, no picture, but an interesting description and best of all, just up the road in wisbech. Finally, a Zed for sale that wasn't in Scotland or the West Country. Next day, pictures supplied, post code in hand, off i go.
