My wife was raced in the zx by a cheeky Sub. Whatever speed she went - 120 max - they were still up her arse (I hope not), but she couldn't be bothered so she pulled over and let them go! She is a bit of a boy racer.

Hi all, Anyone have any experience with buying warranties for these cars? It seems to me that, should they go wrong, they could be expensive to repair. A warranty might be a wise investment, providing it gives the right level of cover. This is certainly something I'm considering - I'd rather fork our £400 now, than possibly £2000 later! So any info than anyine has would be appreciated! StuartR

Hi Guys, I'm normally found over on the 200SX website, but as I'm looking at buying a Zed I thought I'd better join the proper forum! I've actually owned a Zed before, but when I advertised it for sale in the trader some sly fecker popped round early and nicked it. I decided to save a bit of cash which is why I went for the 2hundy, but I've now given in and am about to import another Zed. I'm after a TT, swb manual version and have found the following website who will import one for me: http://www.jap-link.co.uk/japanese_car_import.htm Has anyone on here had any experience of them, or would reccommend a decent importer. I've considered doing…

Hey guys, this is my first post! I dont yet have a 300zx. I used to have a 200sx, then blew two cylinder heads and bought a NA Supra. That got nicked around 2 months ago. Need a new car.....thought that 300ZX looks sweet. So basically how does it handle and accelerate compared to the 200sx or the supra? My 200sx did 0-60 in around 6.5 secs, and the supra just over 7 secs, due to it being a heavy lump! Does this 4 wheel steer reduce the fishtailing when you are puching it? Cheers!

Something that has been going through my mind lately is 'why do a lot of zeds die on rolling roads?'. Airflow is a major factor for keeping the car operating within its temperature limits. Typically a RR will have a huge fan that is placed in front of the engine bay and this blows nice cool air over the engine and radiator. Now, think of a Zeds IC setup - they are in a PISS POOR position for receiving airflow anyway, nevermind if there isn't anything blowing at them ;) Stock intercoolers will heat soak very quickly if the engine is under load with no flow. So then you get detonation and before you know it BANG.... Anyone else any thoughts/ideas??? RRs are almos…

Hi Guys, Happy New Year to you all. I am attempting to replace one of my rear wheel bearings tomorrow out in the cold. I would leave it but the noise is giving me a headache now after 10 mins of driving. So it's either upgrading my ICE so I can drown out the noise or replace the bearing. Has anyone done this job recently? If so have you got some handy hints for me please. Cheers Glenn

I'd rather walk to work and chuck snowballs at passing cars than risk denting mine........ Can someone tell me if more powerful lights are available as they don't seem that hot on dipped or main beam?

Hi all, I'm after sourcing Alpine ICE for my Zed at a reasonable price. I've already fired off an e-mail to Bob at Safe-n-Sound but thought I'd air the question here as well because some of you have either got industry contacts or know websites where you can get this stuff cheap-ish. I'm after the following kit: SPR-176A 6.5" speakers w/ separate tweeters and X-overs SWR-1021 subwoofer CDA-7893R CD/MP3/DAB Head unit MRD-M300 amp for subwoofer MRV-T320 amp for front speakers Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Cheers, Danny PS - to satisfy my own curiosity, what is the difference between running a 2 Ohm subwoofer versus a 4 Ohm subwoo…

Black, new brakes, poly bushes, turbos are 6 months old, they are stage 1's with staggered piston seals and 360 thrust bearings. new water pump all new other bits, i can fax the details as there are so many new accesssory parts i bought. offers around 3k. cheers steve

Hello, Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in wheel offset between UK spec and J-spec TT`s? Or put it another way are aftermarket (or stock) alloys interchangeable between the two models? Thanks Ronnie

It's getting worse.... it used to be once in a while, now it's pretty much every time I start up... It's a damn fan belt squeak (at least I think it's the fan belt). Very loud squealing which doesn't go away until about 3,400 rpm's. Which i don't like revving the car to when it's cold. Once i've revved it though the squealing stops. Now i presume all I have to do is take my car to the garage and ask them to tighten the fan belt but I was wondering if there's anyway I can fix it myself? Also, is it likely to be the fan belt? - there seem to be quite a number of belts lurking down in the depths of my engine... I want to make sure i'm blaming the right pa…

Drove to work today in the snow... i was the slowest car on the road. I had no choice to drive at a little over tickover, anymore and then the car would go sideways. and the brakes? totally useless. I nearly crashed it twice. scarry shit... Of course it did have its good moments, sliding the back round 90 degress junctions at 1000rmp... I feel sorry for all those with twin turbos, mine is a N/A and its scary ....... I think today is the first time i have arrived at work awake for a longtime. be safe Mick.
