got the bill for my zed today and its ridiculous :mad:. the engine is out and stripped, grearbox is out. its a 92 UK manual TT. It have straight through decatted exhaust, new 3g brakes and i mean 1 weeks worth of use new. i am going to give it away as is for 1500 no offers. all it needs is a replacement engine and it will be worth 6k. cheers steve oh yeh blitz boost controller for sale 300 quid totally pissed off:( :( :mad:

Replace the recircs!!! Your missing out on a shit load of power! Changed mine and boy what a difference, I guess I was loosing pressure as they were failing badly BUT now! Wheeeeheyyyy!!!!

My centre bearing on my auto TT needs replacing according to its previous owner. What exactly should I be feeling through the car if this is so? At the moment there is a vibration that runs through the car at higher revs, is this right? Also what kind of price is a new front bumper? I am trying very hard to persuade my mrs that we need to keep the car ;) as I really like it.

with a wobbling gear lever even when it's in gear. I had this so decided to change the gear lever bushes. I found an article on TT.net saying it would only take about 45 mins max. Fook me.... 4 and a half bl**dy hours I was out there in the snow. My hands are still bleeding as I type and I still can't feel my toes :mad: But at least my gear shift is nice and stiff now (oo-er). So if anyone is thinking of doing this to their car to make the gear change nice and stiff. I say Don't even bother !!!

A few of you will know how much I recently spent on my Z making it look the biz. Well a week before Christmas after only having it back about 3 weeks the auto box has gone tits up and only gives me 1st & 2nd gears and third slips so much it's like it's not in gear. Maybe it's had enough of 400+bhp for a year and then standing for 9 months with no use. I'm fed up and have no cash for a rebuild or manual conversion which I was going to do ready for future engine mods. What's the cheapest effective rebuild or manual conversion (with clutch for 450+bhp) that anyone has had and where from? Boo hoo! :confused:

It's a few months ago now, but then I've only just joined this site, but I went head to head with an RT10 Viper for the best part of 5 miles in the summer. I had a (rather large) witness on board too ! I have to admit he was in front, having announced his presence by pulling out from behind the car following me and roaring past but I reacted fast enough to match his speed very shortly after he passed. He then failed to even open space between us for the next 4 or 5 miles, even with having to slow for several roundabouts. We never actually got a standing start; which is probably just as well as he's got no lag at all, just an 8 litre engine powering massive tyres. …

Hi There seem to be a lot of Zeds for sale in the autotrader etc with 58-60K miles, from traders. I've emailed and asked about whether they've had the 60k service, and none have - what chances do you reckon I have of them throwing the service in? I gather it's a biggie. I'm avoiding everything at the moment without a service history. Has anyone had experience of this sort of thing? Any good stories with dealers? Cheers Pete

(at last, a newish subject for me). I previously posted regarding a problem with my 92 Jap import intermittently stalling. Someone suggested I test the FICV(?) valves, which I did by turning on the climate control. As expected the revs raised to 1000 from 750. So I thought, problem is not here! However, turning the CC off consistently causes the car to stall (every time!). Anyone any ideas what I should be looking at next? I intend to change plugs, filters, oil, etc. soon. Anyone had experience with getting bits from Courtesy Nissan in the US - seems getting the whole lot in dollars for less than the plugs in pounds is good sense to me! Aside …

Further to my message about my stereo and failed lights..... (don't want to clog up the board with all my ramblings!) Can anyone give me (or point me in the direction of) a diagram of the internal fuse layout - my cover panel is missing? I want to know what fuse is for what circuit! The car is a 92 Jap import. Hi All, The muppet that had my car previously decided to wire in his stereo by cutting all the wires from the plug, rather than getting an adapter (and did the same to the aerial wire as well). I tried to wire in my stereo at the weekend (boy was it cold) and unbeknown to me I managed to short the lighting circuit. Stereo fine - lights not! Of course I find out the lights are knackered when I come to go home last night, so not only snow/ice, but without vision! Incidentally handles just fine on ice!!? Does anyone know anyone with either a Saxo or a Focus (or both!?) :) If so I'm trying to sell 2 numberplates S4XOP and P70CUS. Had them both up for sale in the usual places for £1000 each, but had nothing but timewasters and crank calls :mad: I just want to get rid of 'em now, so I'd let the Saxo one go for £750 and the Focus one for £500. :confused: Fees are paid etc. Hopefully someone's got a mate who might want one? Bought them as an "investment" but they are clogging up my filing cabinet ;) Cheers people Pete

I've just renewed my insurance and did the normal phoning around and seaching on the internet. Would you believe it Elephant.co.uk can in 300 quid cheaper than any other quote that I got! more once I realised that they had added stuff like car breakdown cover, car hire insurance and additional pesonal injury cover. I got rid of the breakdown cover and saved around 70 quid. Anyway just thought that I'd pass that on, only downside was that it had to be paid in one hit. oh and I got NCB protection and added my girlfriend to it as well (that last bit may have been a bad idea).

The Integra has a completely racing motor and T3/T4 Turbo. Also its full limited slip. I've heard that more than 10K invested. We are going to race for money (600 pounds agreed) and I want to know if you have any idea what can be the 1/4 times (approx.) for such a car. He sais that he is going to eat me for breakfast and I that i will be his first victim. P.S My best 1/4 time is 12.115 and my trap speed 193Km. That was at the drags a few months ago (those of you who remember). Temp then was 30+ Celcious and I didnt do any burnout of the tyres. Also I run at 12 PSI. What's the best deal for new rear disks (what/where from/how much?). Is it true that these have some interaction with the parking brake system that's going to make changing them a whole lot more expensive than the fronts? And for those of you who thing our toys are expensive, I've just had to have the driver side lock on the wife's Honda Accord replaced. It had failed shut.:mad: She dosn't nag me about the amount I spend on the Z any more :)

Hi all As I am new to this forum, and to Z's in general I was wondering which turbo the Z has as standard? (I haven't actually purchased my Z yet, but it will be bought in a few months). I have four 200SX turbo's, which the standard turbo is a T25 garratt (are we talking of two T25s?), how long do the turbos last?, and how much is a couple of hybrids? Also, what should I be looking for when buying a Z?? I assume the lower the mileage the better, but are they prone to anything major at any particular mileage? Thanks for your help Luke
