I think one if my Tie Rod Ends has gone (the nes at the end of the steering rack), i've got marks on the ground directly under one of the. Anyone know how much they are and the best place to get them from, is there any upgraded ones and do you have to change the pair?

OK, I’ve noticed some talk about engine additives and this subject does tend to crop its little head up now and then. Therefore, I am going to share my experiences with you. Firstly, Slick 50. I don’t want to say much about this but last time I heard they were being sued for a number of engine failures and/or false claims about their product? This could be wrong. Does anyone have any further information on this? Secondly, After a great deal of research on engine additives I have found a US based company who specialise in additive/cleaning and servicing products to the automotive industry – BG Products. Morning! I've been hearing a lot of speak lately on this forum about soft rebuilds/SE fast-road rebuilds/AT services. I've tried to contact SE but can't get an answer so I'm going to ask the obvious here. What exactly is done to the A/T as SE and what is a soft rebuild? Also, I've spoken to a few Zed owners who had their A/T serviced, i.e., new fluids etc, and they have had horrendous problems a couple of weeks down the line. 9 times out of 10 the cause of the problem was gunk dislodged by the fluid change. I've been contemplating getting my A/T serviced but am a bit hessitant to do so given the potential problems. Anyway, any insight into the above is greatly a…

Hi guys, Just a quicky - I know it is on the wrong part of the forum but I haven't got posting rights to the for sale section - does anyone know where I can obtain a cheap PCMCIA 56k modem. I don't want one that incorporates an ethernet connection, just a simple modem. Have been looking around but can't seem to find them for under £50. Any feedback appreciated. Cheers, Danny

Which are the best in terms of sound and power increase for the Z??

In the last couple of days I've had two people tell me about needing to do some work on the underside of a jap import after it arrives :( What are they on about? Are the imports not rust protected underneath or something? If this is the case, have any of you with imports done anything about this? Thanks in advance

Hi all, might sound like a silly question, but I am treating my Z to a new set of front rubbers tomorrow. The old tyres are 225x40x18 but I know a few people have got 235x40x18's on the front. What should I go for? Same as old ones 225's or replace them with 235's. Does it actually make any difference to the way the car will drive? Any help or suggestions would be most welcome. the transmission ecu on a uk turbo, and if its in the passenger footwell how do i know what it looks like there seems to be alot down there.

I've been on this uk zx website, the car in it is reffered to as 'Black Beauty', it has two spot lites instead of each headlight. Any ideas? D UK

Hi chaps and chapettes, I wonder if any of you out there can point me in the right direction regarding a problem I have with me Z. I've got a '91 jap import TT auto and she's revving really high (6500-7000 revs) before she changes gear, particularly when she's cold. She did it Monday night, but by the time I'd gone 10 miles the problem had disappeared, untill I started her and drove her again about 2 hours later. The other thing I've noticed is that with the AT button, to the right of the shift stick, put in the normal position (middle) the 'power' light on the dash comes on if I floor it, however, it doesn't go off again unless I flick the AT button to power then back …

I have a 1992 Z32 and the gear change becomes very stiff if the car has been used and then left standing and then driven again. The problem is worse in the summer when the weather is warmer. It also occurs on long motorway driving when the car has travelled in 5th gear for a while. The majority of the time its fine and I really only notice it if I have to use the car within a couple of hours. Any sujgestions would be greatfully recieved. Rgds Simon

Front window washers stopped working yesterday. Piddles slowly from left one while right one seems blocked/broken Can hear the motor buzzing when I press the washer button. Rear window washer works fine. Any clues
