Does anyone know where I can get these from as one connector (left one of two, on front of engine - think its the cooling fan) is missing and the connector pulls of really easily. I did a search on the forum and found posts about making them out of paperclips or pianostrings (WTF?!). Can they be bought from Nissan? Has anyone bought any? Cheers Pete

Anyone got any tips or had experince with blowing in the down pipe area? Me and mechanic bud put the beast on a ramp , he reckons to locate the blow/hole will be a pig of a job due to the heat shield that surrounds he pipes. Its a single pipe 6" at the back if that makes any difference. Also does anyone recommend any where for mail order exhaust systems as I think the whole thing may be toast soon? Cheers Dil:rolleyes:

Wazzzz uppp ! i blead the clutch on my TT about a month ago after the pedal got soft, i bleed the top, then the slave cylinder, i was able to get a better pedal by bleeding the slave by gravity rather than, opening & closing the vlave while the clutch pedal is operated, anyways i got a really solid pedal, now it is soft as sh*t again, still works but just not as good, i am going to bleed it again, am i bleeding the system corectly ? or any hints ? i was told that it works better if the front of the car is higher ? but havent tried it yet ...... Cheers ....... Scottieeee...

Sold my MR2 turbo and pick up my new Z on Sunday. Yipee Z is from a dealer and has 2 faults: gurgling noise from front wing behind dash on idle and slight rumble noise from rear drive shaft area at 4000rpm (noise only lasts a couple of seconds) Dealer says he will try to fix but cant be sure whether the faults can be located. Other than that the car is beautifull: Cherry Red, 5 spoke split rim alloys, tinted glass, full leather just in from Japan with 40000 miles If he cant fix the faults should I go ahead - the car drives really well - seems a lot faster than the MR2 Turbo Also the A/t light on dash doesnt work Car is 1991 H reg at £4500:rolleyes: :r…

I was driving back home from my mums at Leeds to Harrogate the other night when I came up behind some traffic on an A road. Remember my auto box only has 1st and 2nd gears at the moment ;) I blasted past the 4 or 5 cars in front at about 70mph almost at the red line in 2nd (!) and to my suprise the car behind me followed me then on the next straight roared past. It was a nice silver Supra with a huge HKS exhaust that sounded the biz! Just my luck - I've never come up against one on the road in 3 years and now my box is shagged! I kept up with him as the road is fairly twisty and you can't do much over 70 anyway and we blasted past loads of other cars until h…

After tickering around with the Mrs Rover 416 SLi, the thought of "Aaarrgghh, fcuk it, it's only the Mrs Rover", so I disconnected the induction pipe that connects to the standard air filter box to see what difference it would make. OMG. How sexy is the sound of raw induction, nevermind the extra little bit of grunt. However, what I do want to know is, have any of you good people ever noticed any difference in induction noise after putting on after market induction kits? I dont mean performance wise but more to do with sound.

I will be buying a car soon and I want something that is cheap, reliable, good on gas yet powerful (i know, i cant have em all) Its either a first gen Honda CRX, which is a car I love and is great on gas, yet has has some snappy acceleration. However, the fact that only 2 people can sit in it just plain sux. Im strongly considering it though. The second option I'd have is a 1st or 2nd gen 300ZX. Not the nice ones, (91- ithink and up) but the ones before that. I really like the turbocharged version and man is it fast. But I dont want to be spedning $100s on repair and gas bills. What is a nonturbos acceleration from 0-60? Also, are 300zxs 2 seaters (i know the 2+2 is …

Hey all, a little summary... Well I've had my zed a week now, and I'm still grinning :D . Beautiful car, comfortable, phenomenal acceleration but v quiet and smooth. Before yesterday I'd only driven in the rain and wet, so have been v careful around bends, roundabouts etc. In the dry the car feels v different, it really grips the roads and gives you confidence round bends I've never had before. The dry has let me test the acceleration from 1st gear - WOW! , in the wet the wheels span  when I tried. Still getting used to the looks from EVERYBODY, at petrol stations (3 visits  ) especially. Only this morning a group of kids stopped …

Hi guy, A number of u might remember when i first joined the forum, my Box went Bang! I got it reconed from this guy 4 £1750 with No oil cooler upgrade-just straight recon. Anyway for over 6 months the box has been acting erratic, jumping up to 6000rpm when on the motorway, extreme late change from 1st to 2nd.... Another, rather odd noise, started happening soon after... a tapping noise when coming to a halt and would dissapear if i put the car into Neutral:confused: Some of the fellas from here suggested that it could be the 'parking pawls'. But get this: its in the same garage right now - the guy is saying it not the parking pawls an…

Whose got an SE exhaust? What do you think of it? I am thinking of having one with the additional centre silencers to keep the noise down (replacing my existing scorpion cat back) but it's mucho pesetas. Is there anyone else who makes a SS exhaust (2.5in) with centre silencers, pref straight thru type with mufflers, not too loud. My Z is already decatted (SE downpipes), with larger turbos so noise is up on std. Powerflow only go up to 2.25 inch I think? Scorpion, mongoose and others do not do a straight thru muffler or centre silencers. Can it be more expensive to make a straight thru xorst with mufflers rather than the baffle type? Your thoughts …

Hello again folks! I've finally got a job again, so I'm back to surfing the web most of the day. Good news, because there's about 9 months of forum posts to catch up on. The bad news is that the job is in Reading and Maidenhead, and I live in Bristol. Can anyone guess my fuel bill for 1000 miles of commuting a week? So the Z has got to go and I'm going to buy an Audi A4 diesel instead (not sure you guys should be laughing or crying at this, feel free to make your own choice) The car is an 89 Jap-spec import, twin turbo auto, totally standard except for the necessary autobox oil cooler and import conversions. It has done 85k ish miles, has black leather s…
