Hello guys, Went to put on some de-cat pipes (from Johnny)today but am having a serious problem getting the pre-cat test pipe to mount flat onto the turbo. When the top 2 bolts tighten the bottome of the flange pulls out and vice-versa. Has anyone had any problems in the past???? Cheers Vijay

owned the Zed for about 4months- thought I would do a ECU check to see if all is well. Before checking, car ran fine apart from a little hesitation when pulling away, nothing to worry about, revs only dropped a couple of hundred rpm. Hmmmm. Lesson 1: On a Sunday afternoon don't play if its not broke!!!! Followed twin turbo Zs of Dallas website and found a couple of things wrong. a)-Code 13-engine coolant temp. sensor circuit. b)-Code 34-detonation sensor circuit. c)-Right o2 sensor not functioning. a)-I knew the cabling above the engine coolant harness was suspect as if you move it backwards and forwards the fan kicks in. Took it for a good run…

Some of you may recall i fancied a tt instead of my na, i raced a tt and it never got away(auto), most of you (not all) mocked and said no way basicaly, so i went and viewed a tt auto to satisfy my curiosity, h reg beautifull nick, but auto, i drove it put foot down and was unimpressed, thinking mine felt equally as quick, but not quite believing it. However!! just gone thru the pack i got with my z, (got 3 official nissan orig brochures) imagine my surprise to read 0-62 figs manual 5.9 auto 7.5 na manual 2+2 figs 6.8, nissans figures so dont get cross

Took the car out tonight, all runing nicley, Then, I went to do a U turn and all of a sudden, the char starts doing it's impression of Chitty Chitty bang bang and starts putting and hopping. then when I stopped I got loads of smoke coming out of the back. I spoken my mate Jay :D, who thinks it's an injector coil as there was only smoke from one side of the zorst. It also seemed to correct itself but then decided to go again. I'm going to check the connectors tomorrow morning, anything else I should be checking ?

Hi! Finally got my first zed, a uk 1990 manual, lots of miles on it (127k) but really immaculate. Just trying to identify some of the bits on it as it had been carried out prior to the previous owner. It's got an HKS exhaust and powerflow induction kit, (easy to spot that one!), but is a Calsonic oil cooler standard? It's about 14" x 10" in size. Also, the intercoolers, is it possible to tell wether they are standard or HKS just from looking at the core through the front intake? Are they a sod to get to in order to look at the end tanks? It's supposed to have a 14psi conversion from TDI, but without a calibrated boost gauge on it I can't be sure. Oh y…

Hi guys, After i get the old gearbox sorted i was thinking of de-catin! But i need to know what are really the chances of the turbo seals going? 10%, 50%, 99.999999%? ita '90 uk spec auto - engine rebuild in '99, not sure if the turbos were changed, FULL service history, until it came to me:D ....it got even full'er....hehe And IF the seals do go, will they be beyond repair, i mean could i get away with putting bk in the old cats and salvaging whats left of the turb's?? info much appreciated, i know this topic has prob been bought up loads of time! just need re-assurance - if thats possible!!:) nice1 jaz

Could anyone help me please? I've just come back from a few days break and upon firing up the batmobile, have encountered a slight problem .... She fires up fine:D But will only run for about a second, hunts around at about 5 revs then dies:( Have just repeated the start/stop process about 15 times, without success ... bugger. BTW, first time I fired her up, there was a 20 seconds of running, followed by erratic revs, then died. Can't see anything loose, otherwise untoward under the bonnet. Any ideas/similar experiences? ThankZ, John.

  20. I would like some advice on fixing the Number Plates onto my Paul Bailey Front & Rear bumpers. Are there holders available? It is the front one that I am particularly interested in. Is there a moulding available that has the shape of the bumper on one side and the flat mounting for the number/registration plate. I am not so worried about the back as this is a flat surfice. I see there are ones advertised for the MX5/Eunos front, but do not know if they can be adapted. Appreciate your help and advice. Thanks, Geoff

Whilst on a trip down to Nottingham last night, I had a friend join me on the journey who was yet to experience the power of the Z. Most of the journey to Nottingham consisted of him giggling like a school girl every time the G-Force pinned him to the seat. I warned him to belt up but it wasn't until he felt himself sliding up the back of the seat that he took me seriously. On the way there, I didn't really give it that much pope, even though to him we were breaking the sound barrier.(I'm sure most of you that have had passengers before can relate). However, on the way back he was curious as to how quick the car really was and said, "Now we're doing 80mph right…
