I'm gunna try and get a cat1 alarm installed and i want it to have the remote central locking feature. But am i right in thinking the passenger door has a motorized lock and the drivers side doesnt. Do any Z's have a drivers side motor? Thus can i find a second hand one or will the alarm intallers have some kind of generic motor?  Thanks for any help :)

Can anyone help with the technique for releasing the Lockset & switch units from the Ignition barrel please? Trying to renew the Ignition barrel after an attempt to steal the car, and we need to remove them also from the donor (S/H) barrel without damage. Regards Dave:(

If you fit a boost controller,is there a need to fit an after market boost gauge as well, just that it seems the normal thing when seeing other modded cars,is it really needed,as i would of thought the boost controller will only go as high as its set to,and takes care of things!,lets say i fit a Blitz SBC-iD and Power Meter iD,would there be a need for a boost gauge, and(not to sure on this)a aftermarket oil gauge,as i think the Blitz can do this allso, just wonderd!

Hi all, well the time has come to part company with my Zed. I got made redundant last month and was hoping to get something sorted by now but it hasn't happened. Hence as my Zed is a weekend car it has to go if anyone is interested. It's as follows: 1990 H reg Jap import ZX TT Auto box. Metallic Black with grey tweed interior (sadly not leather) it has approx 75000 KM on the clock (think its about 45000 miles), I have the Japanese service records etc. It came into the UK last year and myself and the guy who imported it have done the maintenance. Oil, filter, plugs etc. I only use castrol RS. The body work is in very good condition no bumps or scrapes, it has 18inc…

Can anyone tell me the location of the temp sensors and air conditioning control unit, or where the info is on the online manual, I've looked but can't find. I've done the AC diagnostic and it checks out O.K. I think there must be a faulty sensor, keeps blowing out the lower ducts and very little out the centre duct, I'm freezing!

Hi, Problems with the computer!!!!! Went to start it up and there was a slighty different sound and it displayed F1 to restart or F2 for setup!!! So I contacted Dell who informed my 3 year warranty expired 6 days ago but were Gracious enough to help me! They said in setup the Puta wasn't recognising there was a hard drive there, so take the cover off, checked the connections and blow the dust away. Which is what the Maestro AndyG suggested, Cheers Andy! And it worked!! For your Info! A week ago, my puta told me it had found a damaged section of the hard Drive and I followed its instructions and isolated it About the same time I opened an…

The person who's buying my house has been a **** about price etc. and has made my removal of certain items from the house a condition of the sale. My plan is not to move them, as when she finds I haven't, it will be too late as I'll be in my new house. I guess she could pursue it legally, but surely it wouldn't be worth it due to the costs she will incurr. My question is - am I correct in thinking I could get away with this as stated.

Cash waiting for anyone breaking a manual. Need all the parts to convert a SWB TT to manual. I have finally given up on fixing my auto box. Went as far as the solenoids which were all tested and worked fine. Not sure where to go now without spending major bucks. Still stuck in second gear.

I removed the front bumper last night and behind it is a large black plastic grille (62256 40P00) which should be bolted onto the car with some rather hefty bolts (judging by the diameter of the holes), except mine isnt!! Anyone know what diameter, length or even part no they are? Cant find owt in the service manwell, so any help appreciated. Nick

Could be a bit long but worth reading... Got stopped in a hire car last May on the A55 by an unmarked pig mobile. Vectra! He pulled me at Abergele, told me I'd been doing more than a tonne in places but would give me the benefit of the doubt and put me down at 95mph. OK, bonus! Negat court appearance for that, fixed penalty. Only problem was that I'd sent my license off to DVLA when I moved into this house eons ago and they responded with "You now have to replace your license with a photocard jobby!" at the cost of 20 squids. So I never got round to it. Sue me!!! LOL :D So I had to produce my documents at the local bacon brigade inhabitance w…
