I know it's been said here before but I now know first hand how crap the stock temp gauge is. My car decided to lose it's coolant yesterday and I was shocked when the temp gauge went from normal driving temp to very near the maximum in a matter of about 15-20 seconds while I was doing a steady 60. Luckily for me I managed to pull over and I don't think any serious damage has been done. I just couldn't believe how quickly it moved! I would recomend everyone go out and get an aftermarket temp gauge so you can have some sort of warning if your car overheats. That's next on my list (well after a timing kit:( ). Vijay

Hi Guys, Since the series 1 PTU is prone to failing, does anyone know if a series 2 PTU fits on a '90 300zx without any problems ?. I'vebeen told by a reliable source that my misfiring when warm may be the PTU on its way out. Or does anyone enjoy fixing broken PTU's :D. :(

as above whats the advtages and disadvatages of a zed TT over a GTO TT?? which after de-limiting is the quiker for the following: 0-60 0-100 1/4 top

Noticed last week that the tyre on my space saver spare wheel has Jap writing all over it. Considering my motor is a UK car is this right? Or has someone swopped my UK spare for a Jap spare? Nick :cool:

I think the mechanical side of it has gone t1ts up, as it makes slightly different noises when it tries to fire up!! Have tried taking it out/reconnecting it, but all to no avail! Can anyone sort us out with a bargain Comptuer or a cheapish hard drive!!!AS I sit in an internet Cafe, thinking this place is filled with crumpet, why do I want a computer at home!! Morning, After breaking down yesterday, it looks like my water pump has decided to leak. I've got a couple of questions: 1. Is it easy to change and anything I should be carefull about? 2. When draining/refilling the system, has anyone undone the drain plugs on the cylinder block? Cheers Vijay

no funny comments..... i am really distrubed and need serious feed back. let me set the picture its was 2am and i had dropped this girl i was seeing home. i was driving back when i noticed a red fiesta with turbo zooming around. at first i took no notice but then i pulled up to a set of traffic lights and guess what? it was there. he strated reving away indicated he wanted a race. i intially thought theres no point but then then my 3litre twin turbo got the better of me. the lights turned orange and he started to edge then they turned green and the race began. i had my foot halfway down on the pedal, my turbo was kicking in, so was his. we were neck and neck …

Hi I recently posted a message on this forum about buying direct from japan and picking your car on the basis of three pics! I had different views about it from different people on the matter, so then i went and did it!! Ive just been offered this car: Red, 5speed, manual, twin turbo, late 1992 (k), 23,000miles, full black unmarked leather, excellent bodywork, aftermarket spoiler, sideskirts and mirrors, 18inch split rims (volks racing), aftermarket exhaust (s/s) I have seen the pics and it looks mint!, now assuming that everything is genuine (i.e. Milage!!) can anyone give me an approx price on what they think its worth?? Hadn't used the car in ages but Mrs T needed to use it for work tonight so after jumping it (the car :D) due to a flat battery I parked the Z underneath my security light so I could check the fluids! Only to discover that since I last looked in the engine bay something had been a little busy with my PTU plug insulation. Grrrrrrrr! Also my left hand headlight is out so I'm just hoping that it's just the bulb and not more tom foolery from a rodent with an appetite for cabling...feckers. "Now where's that air rifle gone?"

Take a look at the picture and anwer me this, how on earth did this zed make it to the workshop (40 minute motorway journey) with the inlet pipes in such bad condition!! the left one did not even have retaining clip on it! This was noticed during a general assesment and short service, the inlets had been off before as there is sealant everywhere but the pipes were not changed...this incidently is a reported 40,000 kilometer engine (2nd hand) yes right! I don't seem to have any reversing lights anymore. If it is the switch and not wiring anyone know if this is easy to replace? I presume it is somewhere on the gearbox.

I've eventually done it ppl, after 18 months of making your zeds look awesome I've gone and got one for me. Thanks to that top guy Latz at GPS a deal was struck and am now the owner of a 90TT in silver with slitrims,stainless, leatherand hoooge sounds. cheers Latz. Then just to put the icing on it, I've just sold it to make way for a SKYLINE. Now I know this will upset a few ppl, but hey at least I tried one(even if it was for a very short time). But it is still a Nissan(ish) and it does have that donutting ability and it will be one wild ride!!!!!!

wazz up was looking at the online maual for hicas, i noticed that u can adjust the steering lock ..... it is surposed to be 2.9 - 3.1mm ..... surely if u modified this to 0 it would accomplish the same job as the stillen bypass kit ? any ideas ..... it seems that if u drive hard mosy people arent impressed with the 'nervy' hicas system ? cheers scottieeee...

I can't find a non turbo 1992 engine anywhere....can anyone help?? tried mike zxcess and no one seems to have one.......sob,sob.. andyz has turbo but am worried how much work to convert it...and yes i read the info ....lol.... I miss my Z and the open road.........

tried to fit an aftermarket gauge yesterday but could not find a suitable hole in the footwell (dash) anywhere to run the pipe into the engine bay, ended up just running the pipe under the bonnet and through the window, with the missus holding the gauge to give me an accurate reading for the boost jets that i fitted, anyway as i am sure you can appreciate this is not a good permanant solution. Can someone please tell me where there is a suitable opening to run the hose.

Hi everyone! Please help me out if you can. Due a to severe lack of skills on some punk-ass bitch driver, I'm going to need the front bumper (fascia) and the left from fog lamp. My car is a 90 NA, USDM version. I'm guessing that the front fascia should be the exact same thing on both, although the lights are different (USDM has fogs as one lamp and corner markers/blinkers as the other one while EUDM has fogs and blinker together and the corner is blind). Is that correct or not? I was also told that underneath the fascia tha USDMs have a aluminum bar that's mounted on shocks that is supposed to absorb the impact. I'm not sure if the EUDMs have it or not…

hi folks, maybe im just being stoooopid, but what is the difference between the keys for a z?? the main key (i think) is the silver one with the logo on it (very light in weight) but the red and black ones dont open all the same locks - i,e red one refuses to open boot, but doors!! Has the importer given me another z's key by mistake, and it just happens to open the doors??

Hey folks, I have a damnit stupid question for you but I gotta ask. Recently bought a second car so the Zed can rest up a bit. At the minute its sitting in the garage, alarmed and with battery connections on. If I`m only using it once a week or less, should I be switching the alarm off or disconnecting the battery to prevent it completely discharging? I know a lot of you have second cars so what do you do? Cheers Steve

i want a zed AFM for my 200sx (s13) but i can't find one n e where. so what else could i use that is as good as or better than the zeds afm?? what do u guys plop in instead of ur standard one? cheers in advance R Vipers

whats the best size speaker to put in the rears, i gather that the 6 x 4 are hard to replace/find, would like a set of 6 x 9s to add some bass fill, and dont fancy the hassle of base boxes/tubes, are the 6x9's easy to fit, recommendations experiences welcome. rob
