Hi folks, well as most of you know i sold the remains of my zed and bought myself an E36 M3. Having now driven it for a month i thought i would report back and say what i think of it. DRIVE AND COMFORT:well the drive and comfort is definitely better than the zed, the solid build quality oozes from the M3. the steering is precise and at 155 you cant ake your hands off the steering and its as steady as you like. i remember my zed being a bit shakey after 140ish, but that maybe my zed and not representative of others. round corners this thing really sticks, but like the zed, in the wet the back end fishtails out quite easily. Who's got one of these induction kits fitted? Thinking of getting one as my 1st Zed mod :D:D. Seen prices around £155. I fitted an K&N Induction kit to my last car, is it a similer job? Airbox off, few bolts and jubilee clips? Is there a difference in engine noise and do you notice quicker pick-up that much? Think my engines running a tad rich at the mo, which doesn't bother me as it gives det protection I'm told, will it affect this? Cheers for any help Pete

WTF is that?!! Says in Jap(anese:rolleyes: ) Perf Mag advert that it's an anti-hijack system. How does that work? It's been bugging me for ages, anyone got one? Sounds like it engulfs the hijacker in flames or something :D ! Cheers Pete

Hi all, my brother has just got a 300z TT but is having problems getting it to run right. The car has big exhaust, apexi fuel controller and was boosting to just under 1 bar. The boost has now dropped to under 5psi but will sometimes go back up if the ignition is turned off and restarted. After reading some posts we checked the ecu and got code 34. When he first got the car it felt very fast, but the performance now seems to be getting worse every day. Any help would be appreciated :)

hi folks, glad this is working again - telly sucks:D how the hell can you check the level of the radiator overflow bottle?? i ask because of this.......Rad level spot on - short journey - check level again - nothing there - takes 1/2 pint water to top up. 100% no leaks from system at all - checked extensively - then noticed after returning from journey - a little puddle appears directly under where the overflow plastic bottle is (passenger side) Also, whats the top up funnell above this bottle and how do you know how much to put in. am i being thick - and is this puddle normal if the system is overfull - how can it be if there is water missing when i che…

buggering sh*te. on way home from work (15 minute journey). after 6 or 7 minutes thought it was a bit weird that heater was still spewing out cold air.. it did this a couple of years ago and it was just the mixer getting it's knickers in a twist, so I adjusteted the climate control, changed fan setting, etc.. After about 10 mins there was a bit of heat, but not very much.. all other gauges (temp, etc) all normal. stopped car to pick up parcel at a couriers, then started again. Hi all just brought another z this time a uk manual [phase2] only had since weekend and on the way to work this morning i popped into a shop and when a got back into the car i noticed the HICAS light wouldnt go out, when i tried to reverse out of the space i relised i had no power steering! and there was a large pool of fluid underneath!! can any one help. I opened the bonnet and noticed a lot of fluid around top of reservoir but coudnt see any loose pipes. cheers Dave

Due to new postcode the insurance on my 200Sx went from £350 to £700 !!!:rolleyes: :eek: So as I plan to do more modding of it, can anyone recommend a cheap insurer who doesn't mind mods (ie. premium is not too high for a modded car).

Hi, Does anyone one know of anywhere that does auto box rebuilds to a high standard. I have spoken to SE about their fast road rebuild and they want £2300 to recon the box, upgrade it a fast road rebuild and supply and fit an oil cooler. I am pushing 380 horsepower through the box so am dunious about replacing it with a standard recon box. Any help would be gratefully recieved. Cheers :(

Don't suppose someone has the wiring diagram kicking around anywhere? I've trawled through the archives but the only link I found was dead. I'm refering to the one where you convert the inner brake lights and use a relay to keep them working when the fogs are off. Thanks, James

I am currently driving a Saxo VTS which whilst it reasonably nippy it's not powerful enough for me now nor does it feel much fun, so from the research I have been doing on the net it looks like I have found a perfect car in the Twin turbo ZX! :D I just wanted to ask you guys a little about the car as you are all experts. Hi All, I have a problem with the auto box on my car. I have lost 3rd and 4th gears so it appears a full recon of the box is in order. Should I go for a standard recon box at about £1250 or an SE fast road rebuild for £1850. I am currently pushing about 380 horsepower. Has anyone had any experiances with either recon boxes or the se fast road rebuild?? Finally: Anyone know where I can get a HKS ALC for my uk spec car and also where I can get an external oil cooler for the uk 300?? and any idea's on the sort of prices I should be paying for them. Hi Jeff, I am back from Cyprus tomorrow night and was wondering if you managed to get hold of the steering coloumn surrounds (top and bottom and whatever screw are needed) and also that carpet part you mentioned under the surround near the pedals. I will call you thursday morning after a good nights kip wednesday, I need it believe me! Hopefully, the fault I have is the problem with the coil packs (thanks BB members for your assistance) which I will check when I get up on thursday but I will call you all the same to see if I can pay you a visit to collect the surround. Basically I booked the car in for the round light swap and the addition of a mid level rear wing back in October! There has been disaster after disaster over the suppliers of the wing and I have waited and waited. Eventually, I took the car in at the end of Jan - supposedly the spoiler would turn up the following week. I went skiing, came back and .... no spoiler.
