Hi, I cannot seem to post attachments here otherwise I could shoe you a photo of what I mean???? Why is this? It says I am not allowed!! I took the aerial off to fit a new mast as the old one broke. I managed to remove all the old mast and plastic tie rap like part that coils up inside but when I went to feed the new one down whilst turning the stereo off, it made this awful clunking noise and when I opened the motor up, the small cog that the main motor shaft turns could not sit back down on this shaft to reverse?? Why is this, does anyone know?

Ok, the picture is of an original Z dipped light lens, out of all its housing, (awsome magnifying glass). Not saying that Nissan spent all the development cash on performance BUT! When a light sourse is held behind the lens it is magnifyed ok, but the distance between light & lens is, how can i say crucial. As an engineer it begged to be solved! > EXPRIMENT 1 = lens / plastic tube / maglight. RESULT = a dull blur in the garden - to - lighting up a bathroom 140yds away, depending on distance light/lens! > Conclusion.....The bulb in the light unit is TOO FAR AWAY from the lens. (Will not say how far in thou' obviously). > > Who amo…

right im not terribly mechanically minded but i think i have a powersteering leak, when i first got the zed back in november i had to top it up a few times a month, nothing major, light would go out for a few weeks or so, now when i top it up the light comes on the next day and it makes a rather strange noise near that area, it seems to be leaking near the front drivers side wheel under the engine but i cant see where from, is there any likely places to check or am i best taking it to a garage, i look under the bonnet and just get a rather bad feeling its gonna be expensive.

Fitted a new boost gauge a few weeks ago (dash mounted) and the stock gauge worked as usual , drove the car to work today and the factory boost gauge just sits at zero now although the aftermarket one is working fine , checked all the hoses and all is fine , will this cause any problems

Hi all , having driven the arse ( literally ) off my Z since buying it about 2 months back , I've gotten use to the power (Jap 90 TT Auto) , now I'm thinking of a few mods. It already has a 6" single exhaust ( neighbours needed an alarm call anyway!) other than that it seems to be standard except for big split rims. Seen a few ads and comments about the JWT chip and think this is the next step , as well as induction maybe. Could anyone who has had this done comment on the difference , also does anyone know the bhp increase? Will this chip increase the boost as well as changing air and fuel intake thingys? I've had a quote of about £350 from a well known Z gara…

A new noise has just appeared on the black beast. If the clutch is engaged in first, second, or neutral there is a whining noise (bearing) but either it's not there or I can't hear it in third, fourth, or fifth. Could this be the clutch release bearing? Also it sounds like it's winding down when you come to a standstill when the clutch pedal is depressed. Any ideas? Ivan

Can anyone tell me whatheadlight bulb types are in a Jap Z? I think dipped beam is H3c but is main beam the same. I am looking at a headlight upgrade and I know a few people has said going high wattage (100w+) can cause the wiring to burn out. Has anyone used PIAA bulbs as you can get a 135w bulb that only draws 85w with a simple H3c to H3 bulb conversion? Would this be too hot for the lens?

Hi folks, well as most of you know i sold the remains of my zed and bought myself an E36 M3. Having now driven it for a month i thought i would report back and say what i think of it. DRIVE AND COMFORT:well the drive and comfort is definitely better than the zed, the solid build quality oozes from the M3. the steering is precise and at 155 you cant ake your hands off the steering and its as steady as you like. i remember my zed being a bit shakey after 140ish, but that maybe my zed and not representative of others. round corners this thing really sticks, but like the zed, in the wet the back end fishtails out quite easily. The seats were better in the zed as they we…

Who's got one of these induction kits fitted? Thinking of getting one as my 1st Zed mod :D:D. Seen prices around £155. I fitted an K&N Induction kit to my last car, is it a similer job? Airbox off, few bolts and jubilee clips? Is there a difference in engine noise and do you notice quicker pick-up that much? Think my engines running a tad rich at the mo, which doesn't bother me as it gives det protection I'm told, will it affect this? Cheers for any help Pete
