Does anyone know the best stuff to use for removing twin-pak overspray? I don't mean T-Cut but something like cellulose thinners. Cellulose thinners works but I'm sure that there must be something easier. Thanks Tim

hello boys!!! Firstly i HAVE done a search, but cannot make any sense of the many results - doh! my first mod will be 3 x gauges in the zed. Quicky learnt that stock cannot be trusted after conflicting conzult redings for temp gauge - worrying. I would like to have temp - oil pressure - boost, preferably mounted on the pillar similiar to MAC1 awesome beast in the rides section with possible voltage reading in anticipation of big sounds next weekend. a. where from b. electical or mechanical c. diy or garage jobby. d. relative ease if diy. in all honesty, not doing it for vanity - need to know what car is doing, but if your gonna bring three …

Just a warning to you lot. If you're thinking of going out in the Z tonight, watch out, especially round the Derbyshire area cus its very greasy. I've just bin out to do a few light test runs and ended up sideways round corners when only doing around 30-40MPH. The worst bit was when I free spun at 50MPH in 3rd. Anyway, you have been warned.

Hi guys (n gals)? Anyone know how much of a sod it is to fit poly bushes all around (front and rear)? Does it require a work pit and special tooling? And if so, do you know anyone who can do it? The rear end seems to tramline quite badly and wanders quite a lot, at first I thought it was dampers but I thought I'd try this fix first. I've done the HICAS diagnostic and it's ok. Anyway, I guessed it wouldn't be the HICAS as I couldn't believe Nissan would produce a car that felt that nervy at the rear end at even average speeds! Or am I wrong? Feedback required... Cheers

Are there any garages / idividuals in South Wales who deal with 300zx's? My father has a TT UK car (non-import) and wants some advice on the gear-box/clutch. He says that when in reverse there isnt alot of power and feels as if the clutch is slipping, but hes not sure. Any phone numbers of relevant businesses etc would be much appreciated. Cheers

Whats the quickest way to launch an AUTO Zed off the lights? I've come up with the following methods: 1. Right foot on brake, then right foot on throttle. 2. Left foot on brake, right foot on throttle as left foot lifts. 3. Right foot on throttle in neutral, flick gear to drive. I've only tried 1. I'd imagine 3 would destroy the gearbox? Suppose 2 might work well if done well, kind of like reaching a biting point? This is purely for theory's sake you understand :) ! Any thoughts? Cheers Pete

Hi All, just checking a few things, got battery charged back up last night after it going flat, anticipation of T coming over today to give me a hand getting my zed up and running again. Plugged everything back in.. all seemed okay... turned over about twice.. then decided not to start at all.. now turning ignition leads to loud clicking noise coming from engine bay (electrical clicking) like.. engine isn't turning over now though. Is this my starter motor? Anybody got any ideas? Am I staring at large bills once more? I'm starting to wonder if it would be just easier to get the thing towed over to local nissan dealer and fixed up... just worried that whils…

My alternator is putting out over 16v resulting in a hot battery and lots of hydrogen. I guess the voltage regulator has gone - which means a new alternator. I have looked but I cannot remember where on the web were the instructions for alternator removal - including pictures of how to do it. I would be grateful for some URL help Thanks

I am finally going to try and get rid of the dreaded droning through the transmission of my motor. The general opinion that I have picked up from bods on this forum over recent months is that the problem is due to wear/faults in the prop shaft u/j's, prop shaft centre bearing or the rear gearbox mounting, or a combination of them all. I intend to replace the lot. I have asked Grasshopper Pro Sport if they can quote to supply the parts. I would appreciate if anyone knows of any other reliable suppliers, so I don't lash any more of my hard earned down the road than I need to. Thanks LOCKY :)
