Ive re installed my stereo and so far it hasnt tripped off like it used to, I think the reason it was doing this was because of a spasticated rear fog setup with the relay for it screwed to the stereo cage (not done by me) but when i try to put it all back together the rear fogs now dont work at all, is it possible to blow a relay??? or have i simply wired something up arse about tit? I really dont want to take the radio out again, bur i must be getting good at it now as i got that funny bit of plastic above the radio to click in place first time!!! And i only lost 1 screw into the abyiss down the side of the seat!!

Sold the Zed yesterday to the first person who looked at it. It still hasn't sunk in yet. I picked up its replacement (an Audi A4 diesel estate) this morning and was bored in about 5 minutes. The Zed was 13 years old and still had more gadgets and stuff to keep me entertained I might be back with another Zed at some point once I can get some cheaper insurance, hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did

I'm also got jet black tailpipes which I suppose must be down to her running rich. I know that she is running rich because of a rolling road test after I had the cats gutted recently when they collapsed. I'm pretty sure that they must be knackered becuase they are the originals and she has now done 175,000 miles. Conzult seems to show that with each sensor the voltage often sticks at the same value for quite some time when taken out on the road. So, is it a reasonable DIY job to change the sensors from the top of the engine and can you use non Nissan ones (I never entrirely trust the faqs on twinturbo.net since the engine compartment layout isn't quite the same …

Can anyone suggest somewhere close-ish to Newbury where i can get me auto TT tuned, fitted 1mm boost jets at the weekend and the car is running sweet but at about 2k RPM there is a noise not sure if it is pinking as its so quiet then completely go's once you give a little more throttle

My tail pipes are black and looking a bit sorry for themselves, was looking at some silver tail pipe trims in Halfords, but they don't do them big enough, only go up to 54mm not the 60mm I need. Tried everwhere, ........ does anyone know where I can get some to fit the Z....?

Hi All, Got most of the parts I need for a conversion now and just wondered about a couple of things... Is there a definative 'how to' on the conversion available anywhere?? I've done the usual searches and come up with very little. Can I use the standard Auto braking components (master cylinder etc) or do I need some more bits from a manual?? I have the manual pedal box. Will I have to get a new/replacement spigot bush? Cheers!! RobH

My car's about due a new set of plugs, and I was wondering about going to a slightly colder plug seeing as it's tuned a bit. Anyone tried running 7 grade plugs (Thinking NGK BPR7EIX-11 Iridium).

Hi all, newbie on the block. I have just today bought my first 300zx... and I haven't stoped grinning since I picked it up !!!! It's a '91 Jap import, 2 seater (not 2+2) manual. The only mods I can determine are a dump valve, and 3 spoke alloys. Body work is in near mint condition, inside a few missing bits and pieces, which leads me to a question: Anybody know the best (and cheapest) place to get replacement switches/buttons for the dash? Also the handle on the drivers seat to move the seat-back forward has snaped off. And finally the fog light bulbs have gone. Can I replace these with the usual lights, or do Jap imports have different spec's? …

Probably a no brainer this one, but it ain't in the handbook... The LIGHTS warning light on the dash, illuminates when the lights are on. They all look ok, except one side light is a bit dim. Is this what the warning is referring too? Didn't know it could monitor light bulbs too!

What do you think is the best path to go down with upgrading brakes? The previous owner of my z has had a boost upgrade (14psi) but left it on standard brakes, which has (no surprise) warped the discs. If I put 6 pot calipers on the front, will the front calipers fit the rear mounting (and discs?) And is the Skyline upgrade all four corners, is it pretty much a straight swap (I should have plenty of wheel clearance with the rims I have), and are they fairly easy to pick up?

I have never had any whistler from my car, however while driving in Epping yesterday evening, I was follwing three cars doing about 55mph (don't worry it was a 60mph zone ) . The next thing I know this large rock (part of a pavement kerb) appeared in the road, the other cars went stright over it without a problem. unfortunatley my car is a fair bit lower than theirs. I hit the rock and dragged it under the car for about 50 meters until I stopped. I had to jack the car up slightly to get it out from underneath the car (it was wedged). Now I also have a whistle while accelerating, seems to happen from about 3.5k rpm onwards it's loudest in first gear. Have I got a boost lea…
