Just thought I'd update my situation about me missing a cyl after tinkering about last weekend. Changed plugs this morning-can't believe that after 4 plug changes I've only just thought of taping the socket onto the end of extension bar so it doesn't remain in the cylinder when you've tightened plug back up and pull it back out!!!! Also checked connectiond to injectors, all seemed fine. So, 6 new plat plugs all in................. broooooom!! ahh, lovely, so don't really know what the cause was or what I had disturbed to cause the miss. Had already checked TPS during the week so that was set spot on and now idle's better than ever, which I would say has more to do …

Thinking about sticking front fogs of a jap mobile onto my UK car, apparently they go where the sidelights are. So does that mean i have to connect up those stupid lights on the side that do nothing, making them do indicators and sidelights? Anyone else here done this? Any help would be cool. Cheers:cool:

ive tried searching through previous threads but cant find anything... My car seems to do this 'wiggle' at theback end sometimes; eg; when crossing lanes on the motorway when i hit the catseyes, it feels wobbly. its hard to describe but im sure someone must know what i mean. the cars done 95k, i dont think its had the shocks changed - could this be it? or bushes? also, why does my horn sound ridiculous? a bit like a goose. its so embarassing everyone laughs and points at me. and thats before i sound the horn. ;) cheers, ed

Any one know much about GTO's ? it's the twin turbo 90 spec. Mate of mine who unfortunately is very young and naive bought a modded one from Leeds the other day, after handing the CASH over, 15 miles later it loses all transmission ( no clutch) then dumps it's coolant on the hard shoulder, stuck there in the middle of the night he decides you get it trailered back to I.O.M ( against my advice) £400 lighter for said pick up, i get the car inspected by performance engineer, seems it's a minger ! quotes of nearly £3,000 result in tears, so question is does anyone know how hard/easy gearbox removal is, Engine in or out ? Water pump removal the same and as rear rack is fooke…

if i get an apexi s-afc fuel controller, and a s-acv boost controller do i still need to get the ecu chipped? i thought the ecu had to be chipped to change the fuel mapping and limits, but would the fuel controller override this? oh and does anyone know of a decent air/fuel ratio meter? will the apexi show this? i dunno. and while i'm at it why doesnt nayone appear to do a charge cooler for the 300? as opposed to intercoolers

Firstly im 20 and the best quote i've found for my UK car is about £1160 from Budget. Surprised me they've beaten all others ive tried?! Secondly, does just an aftermarket exhaust make any difference to a quote in your experiences as isn't it pretty much accepted they're cheaper and/or last long than a manufacturers replacement? And thirdly, different wheels make a difference? Cheers boyzies:cool:

However this is going to take days at this rate, is there any way I can store the whole contents of my old hard drive to my new pc hard drive? so that I can remove it from the new machine and either access the data as I need it or transfer it as I need it rather than having the old drive hanging out of my new machine for days? I thought that title would get your attention! But my car is like a big vibrator! Driving home today along the good old M4,I noticed my car was vibrating, not much but enough for me to pull onto the hard shoulder to check the wheels. I could feel it litrally through the seat of my pants! I can't find anything obvious and will go to my local tyre place tommorrow to get balancing and tracking checked, although I only had it done about 4 months ago when I had new tyres! Hopefully it's nothing too expensive!! Cheers, F.T.
