When my son jumped into the back of the Z today,he noticed that his bum was rather wet! The back seat especially behind the drivers seat was soaking. I dont think it's from the targa roof but I'll be buggered if I can find out where the water's getting in. Any advice gratefully received! Cheers, F.T.

Just as turbo needle goes into positive get this Deep humin sound from, what seems to be the front passenger side wheel arch or passenger side engine it duz go until I take my foot off the accelarator!. Can anyone shed any light on this sound?, D UK:mad: :confused:

Hi guys, The other week I noticed that my rear OEM rear spoiler is starting to go on the edges so damp has got in to the rubber stuff and it's started to bubble on the paintwork - a common problem I know and was warned about. Apart from the Zcentre does anyone know of any available stockists and fitters in the N. London, Herts. area for rear spoiler f/g? Thanks, Geoff.

so i had the RAC guy check over the BMW M3 today, bad diff noise and he said there was a breif tappett noise when the car starts but goes away real quick. he said this needs looking into. however, the guy who has had the car since it was two years old and still under warranty, said the took the car to BMW about this noise and they said that the car has some variable valve timing thingy system, and that it adjusts to the speed of the engine for something and that when the car starts up it takes a few seconds for the tappets to adjust oor something and is quite normal. is this total pants? cheers steve

I just spent half an hour rubbing my face on the bottom of my zed screwing the plastic tray that goes under the engine or should i say gearbox. Anyway my question is wouldnt a zed be better off without this as surely it would help the heat escape easier, or is there some weird and wonderful function that its performing? (and no its not a MASS reducing mod!)

Dont know how to put this but i could quite fancy a twin turbo version of mine, but would not want to sell mine, so would any of you fancy an na and some cash, mines immac jap import manual 2+0 g plate, i will keep the car if this is a no go, its just a thought incase anyone needs some spare cash but hates the thought of not having a zed

I went to start my 300 20 mins ago and guess what...it kicked then just turns over and wont f****** start. I am thorougly pissed off with the car now. I have had an intermittant mis from the engine.....sometimes its smooth as a dye other times very lumpy with a definate miss. I have only done 50 miles in the last few weeks in the car and there is just below quarter tank of fuel in it......any ideas guys....i was gonna get ma timing belt/cam seals done today but not thats out the window..... Hi all, Does anyone know if the front seats from a Z31 will fit in a Z32?? Might be able to get a good 'un at a good price. Any other useful bits interchangeable?? What turbos did the Z31 have installed? Is classic insurance available for a 1987 Z31?? Cheers + TIA!! RobH

Right then....I don't really want to do this, but needs must..... 94 L reg twin turbo, metallic midnight blue, 79000 miles, leather interior plus all the usual stuff (cruise control, air con, elec. seats). It's been undersealed, and has a cat 1 alarm & tracker. Had it for a year, only history I have is for the work I've had done, which has been done by Jeff at Zedworld. It's currently MOT'd til April, but I'll make sure it has 12 months before selling. About to get new rear shocks fitted (which I will do whether I sell it or not....if I don't get it done, it has to get knocked off the price). I'm thinking somewhere in the region of £8750? I am now in possession of my new Z!!! Rah rah rah, only took 6 months to buy it!!! After a week in Jeffs for a service its now home in the garage for some serious TLC. However I cant decide what colour the leather interior is. The cars a UK Series II but the leather looks grey in some lights and black in others. Were there different colour options or just one? Oh and whilst on colours, wheres the exterior paint code located?? The car is red (the best colour for sports cars!!) but did Nissan specify more than 1 colour red for the 300?? just a bit of info: i had high idle speed, esp from cold. done the usual. ie cleaned tb's & idle valve, reset ecu checked tps - within spec checked temp sensor & cleaned contacts - still the same. when i pulled the boot off the back of the temp sensor connector, the rear of the terminals were corroded, though looking at the terminals in the plug end (where they connect) they seemed to be ok. checked the resistance through the wiring & it was waaaaaaaay too high! cut the connector off & crimped a couple of new connectors on & all seems ok now :)

Right my car will still only do 120mph. But i have now noticed that it is not changing up to 4th gear:rolleyes: any idea what might be causing this. The car had just had a brand new auto box the week before i got it in september, with a new ecu and everything. Could it be something simple. (yeah right)

AT what speed & RPM an auto box should be changing up the gears on a twin turbo car.

Tried to start the Z again and did fire up but not on all cylinders. Took the reading from the TPS 0.5v low to only 3.6v high, how important are those extra .4 volts to make it to 4? It will start every time now but seriously lumpy. Next step to do the ecu diag?? haven't done one before but sounds straight forward.

Dear All I am looking for a little advice from the film sticking masters of this forum, or anyone that has done there own tinting, successfully. I have done my rear quaters without a problem, however, I am looking to also do the front/sides but cant work out what the best way is to get a nice smooth cut along the top edge of the glass. Can anyone offer any advice?

First is i've fixed the clock at last,if i bend the board slightly the light stays on,don't ask why,i jammed a piece of plastic behind the glass plate that holds the flourescent digits!!!!!!!! Secondly i've heard a strange "ping" noise like the one when you leave the lights on,it happend when i was driving very slowly could it be a low fuel warning or something???????
