Well apart from scrapping every knuckle in the freezing cold the job is done . Although there was no noticable increase in power the car felt and drove so much smoother it even seemed to change gear much better (auto), Well impressed with the cat replacement pipe supplied by Luke at the Z Centre, good quality and exact fit. :D

I dont know what to do. There is no engine noise, the exhaust makes a lovely low rumble at idle which sits at exactly the right level. Acceleration is strong and constent and the 6V sound gets better as I do. My traction Control is stopping my wheels from skidding on the ice as I pull off. This is highly unusuall. :D (It is for me actually ;)) I dont know what to do. This is so unusual (apparently) for a Z ;) Any help or suggestions. Stuart

Lined up at the MAD MILE and went for it lol, he got away better than me (i managed to half bogdown) but got going around about 1 car length behind him, hooked second pulled in a little, hooked third BYE BYE :D:D left him for dead, slowed down and he passed me and about 10 secs later the two harleys comming bangin passed lol, drivers tucked down like ROSSI lol.... not much but better than nothing lol. I was running .8bar boost.

Hi, As my engine is lying in bits I was thinking (dangerous combination). The oil cooler works off a pressure operated valve over 47PSI and the oil cooler gets flow, below that none. There are pros and cons to this system, the pressure valve is on the oil filter bracket, I took out the pressure valve's spring yesterday and this would leave the oil valve completely open. I have found a source for oil cooler thermostats and have plans to convert the oil cooler feed to a temperature operated system. Opinions would be gratefully received Mark

Always gloom gloom gloom what will outsiders think? People who are new to the forum such as i, initially see the worst with all the problems. Where are the comments about your pride and joys lets see some positive comments(happy times) and get the old camera and video camera out and lets see some good moments. Let people see what a fantastic car this and also show people how much fun they are. Looking forward to happy times. When i pick up my Z in February i will most certainly get the video out and upload footage. Let the good times role.:D :D :D :D :D :D ;)

I really want to chrome my head lights but chrome them for real is something that nobody can do here in my country. If i am not mistaken someone in here has used chrome paint for the job. Do u think its a good idea to use chrome paint or am i going to have any issues later on?

Just curious do women actually like the look of the Z or is it just a mans thing? From my experience women hate it, they think its too big. Any comments. I love them though.

if i can be arsed today i'll fit my new apexi indubtion kit, but whilst looking at it i wondered what the maintence for these things was..... i used to have a k+n on a previous car and that had to be cleaned and oiled. the apexi however is apparently a dry type ie no oil, but the question is could i still clean it using the old k+n filter cleaner??? i read the instructions that came with it but my japanese is a bit rusty today. oh and in light of whats happened recently i removed the spacers off my wheels today, it will be interesting to see what sort of difference it will make.

Hi Guys, sorry for the long post I need to fix the problems that i am still facing with my 1990 2seater Manual NA. 1. The clutch pedal hisses at me unless i press it about half way down. After half way it starts to engage. When i give it a lot of gas, it stops making the hissing noise. Then on the way up it clicks at me when about half way up. I feel like it is going to snap or something. What can i do to stop this and fix the problem? 2. My BRAKE light came on the other week whilst driving to work and about 5 minutes later the HICAS and LIGHTS came on aswell. I thought nothing of it as i was planning to change my front and rear brake pads. I got all the pa…

whats the best advice for a zed in the snow, mines an auto, and ive had it 3 months and got to grips with it in the wet, but what are these beasts like in snow, or icy roads, is it best to keep it in 2nd gear, im dreading the short journey to work with 2 inches of snow.

Started to get some hesitation from about 5000rpm onwards, but only on full throttle. If you ease off the gas pedal slightly it will continue accelerating smoothly. Also seem to get fuel smell on start up coming through air vents. Coincidence ? or separate problems ? Goin' to remove centre plastic cover in the morning and check for fuel leaks. Have tightened everything else around fuel filter and although needed tightening no change. Also goin' to change spark plugs tomorrow ? Just had a thought- I am just coming to the end of a full tank of Optimax that my UK zed hasn't had before. Perhaps? Any thoughts appreciated !!!!!

Yet another problem... My clutches byting point is right the way out on the pedal (ie push the pedal in a cm or 2 and it will slip). When i floor it it starts to slip at high revs. Clutch doomed? Perhaps a simple adjustment moving the byting point further down the pedal thus less likely to slip?? :p Any thoughts much appreciated. Roboito

Finally managed to get my Z running properly... :) Unfortunately my brakes were very spongy today, only drove it about a mile and by the end i could press the pedal to the floor and the thing was hardly sloing down... What's this likely to be? I think ill try and bleed the system tomorrow but how do i go about this? What brake fluid? By the way it's all standard stuff. Thanks ROb:confused:

Hello everybody, This is my first post on this forum so please be kind (to start with at least :) ) Just wondering if any of you have personally imported a zed and how did you find the process? Anything I should be aware of and how do I know what kind of condition it will be in mechanically - will the japanese grading system be enough? Thanks in advance James

Hi all, Further to my probs with not shifting from 2nd to 3rd, I ran the diagnostic this morning and it came up as dodgy rev sensor (1st flash is longer than the other nine). It's actually the 'power' light that flshes the error code - is this normal? I've done the related votage tests, the voltage from pins 25 and 24 increase as they should with rising revs and engine speed. Is there anything else I can test? The engine 'check' light stays on until the engine is started - can't remember if this is normal (?) Any suggestions gratefully received, I really don't want to pay my local Nissan dealer to tell me they can't do anything except a gearbox rebuild…

I've got leaks in the boot and on the right side T-top. Can anyone tell me how to fix these? I tried some epoxy on the top for a crack in the rubber, but that didn't even slow it down...

I need to change a power steering hose that comes of the bottom of the pump. Now i dont think getting it of & on should be a problem, but do i need to bleed the system or anything when i get it all back together (someone said something about working the steering from lock to lock while filling the fluid up) do i need to do this? if so do i need the engine running at the same time? or is this all completely wrong. :( :(
