G'Day just got my Z about a month ago (new rears then) But i got a prob with the remote central locking ...... When u deactivate the alrm immob .... something inside the door clicks .. like a solenoid !!!! The door do not unlock ... if u use the key the central locking operates on the 2 doors !!! like it should ... i think that the previos owner must have disconnected it as when the engine runs for about 30 secs the same noise comes from the door ..... do toad alarms auto lock doors ? if so how do u disable this feature ....... i am assuming that the solanoid is siply a bar not connected up Any ideas Much appreciated Scottieeeeeee

So who are the tried and tested BEST engineers for doing internal engine work on the zed? This means that you take your zed to their workshop and they do all the work there and dont farm some of the work out to others. It would be best to hear from you guys who have first hand experience and not "my mate had an engine done etc". cheers guys your input is much appreciated steve

My motor has been laid up for the not-insubstantial time of 34 weeks. I collected from Essex on Wednesday and drove the 75-ish miles home OK. Took it out for a spin on Saturday and after around 2 miles the Hicas and Cruise Control warning lights came on. I guess that the Hicas one is down to fluid level....but what about the Cruise Control...I've never had that light come on before. I checked the operation of the Cruise Control and it all seems to function correctly. I thought that this light should only display when you have engaged Cruise Control via the main switch. Any thoughts guys??

i belive the power-window switch is a common fault so i asked Nissan UK for a price, erm £151 pounds thank-you sir....... no thank-you Nissan UK, so i asked CourtesyNissan and they wanted $91, mmm a bit better, but if you want a real cheap and working solution, then go along to your local scrappers, find yourself a 200sx and pinch its power-window switch....... works a treat.......

Hey all...I`m wearing me Santa hat! seriously though, there`s a quick Q. Had my front tension rod bushes replaced recently. A higly reccomended move, front end feels as sharp as a knife! However, it has exposed a weakness in my rear end...left hand lock is cool but the car does slide gradually on mid speed righties. I`m having the rear dampers replaced in January...reckon this will cure it or is there something else I need to be looking at? BTW: A check on all injector connections is cool too. Had one fixed about a fortnight back but another has gone now....car`s running smoothly at idle but no power and very sporadic acceleration. While winters here,…

Hi All, Just took delivery of my first 300ZX this weekend! Its a 92 TT auto. Already taken to London and back (500 mile round trip) and even the wife is well impressed. Methinks a good choice of car! I have a few questions? 1. Having enjoyed the traffic of the M25 yesterday, sat in traffic for 2 hours and moving a phenomenal 1 MPH, the car occasionally stalled going from N to D. Is this something to be overly concerned about? It restarted fine, drives fine, and idles smoothly at 750 rpm. I also get full boost (700 mmHg) so I think that the engine management, etc. is OK, and the car never even got hot (on the gauge at least) - yet to do a diagnostic th…

Hi All, I need to source some Toyo Proxes as cheap as possible (of course) best I have found locally (Chester) for 245 45 16s is £103 - that looks a bit steep to me, I thought it was supposed to be a budget performance tyre?!?! I've done a search but all the previous posts seem to be for Micheldever, mytyres etc - they don't seem to have any stock at the mo' Anyone bought any online recently?? Cheers! RobH

Hi All, I want to give me car a good clean. No... I'm not talking about the body work or interior, I mean the engine. My car is 12 years old now and I would like to start cleaning the connectors and making small replacements as I am running idle at about 1,000 rpm and seem to be getting less than 200 miles per tank even on long motorway journeys. I know I should be at an idle of 750 ish, but I don't just want to turn my idle down as I think this will effect performance (correct me if I'm wrong). Although after running an ECU diag, I got the all clear code (55). I only ran Mode II checks and will run Mode I a little later. I want to start by cleaning the con…

Hi guys, welcome to you all. I am a new comer here. I have previously owned a Z and had to come back to one so i am on the look out for another one. I am after a manual twin turbo with exhaust and wheel modifications. So if anyone has one or knows someone then, please let me asap. Cheers Here is my question, what is the offset for the Z's wheels.? Somebody has offered me some wheels and i am just wondering if they will fit. Also he claimed that they fit the old Z31, so they fit the Z32.

Looking under the bonnet of a TT, the pair of hoses which are ontop with another hose directly below, is the flow to the turbo or from the turbo? Thus which hoses have the boost pressure in, obviously the ones goin in the throttlebodies do and either a) The one next to it ontop, or b) the one next to it below.. Get my drift? Thanks Rob:confused:

Well not quite dead, but certainly seriously ill :( Was coming back from GPS last night after getting my clutch fitted (cheers Latz) when the car started to give an occasional stutter. Had done this before in the wet and I put it down to water drops hitting the MAF. Anyway, eventually it started to stutter bady and as I was driving would intermittantly go back to normal then stutter again. Revs would drop right off, and car would stop. Restart, would usually go OK for a bit again then the problem would resurface. Check engine light didn't come on until the engine had stopped. Haven't done an ECU diagnostic because I had to just get my other car and come straight…
