Here's an interesting one... How many of you on here like the 300zx the way it was built, ie stock! or am I the only one that bought one because I think it already looks great!! and Nissan got it just right. Seems that an awfull lot of owners seem to buy a Zed, start by tearing off all the bits that make it look like a Zed and replace everything with considerably different looking panels, wheels etc.. ending up with something that resembles a Kit-Car!!! PS, this is just for fun, so please don't take it too seriously or turn it into a war!! :D :D :D :D

just sold my 4x4 cosworth going to look at a twin turbo manual on friday, are they reliable? are parts easy to find? are they reasonable on fuel? also what should i look for when buying?thanks for the help.:confused:

Hi people long time, been studying like mad (last yr). my 300 is making a weird noise which sounds like tappets, its def not! when coming to a hault or stopping slowly. i can make it stop by putting auto lever in N.... :confused: do fellas think its abox prob? the guy who fixd it thinks NOT! maybe the flywheel? was recond 7months ago. thanx jaz

Right, what's the reservoir on the left (standing at the front looking into the engine bay) of the engine block, near the front? It's opaque, has a little dipstick in the cap, and appears to be full of oil - I'm confused because the engine oil dipstick is elsewhere, and looking at the online manual, the oil filler cap is on the engine block :S It grabbed my attention while I was messing with bulbs, because the hose leading down from it looks like it's experienced some leakage at the top - looks like it just needs the jubilee clip-esque thing tightening, but I always worry about *over* tightening, plus it's more scary looking than a plain jubilee clip :/ I checked t…

Bought my car 4 weeks ago and the PTU went up the creek but the car was driven about 500 miles or so with a misefire causing the cat light to come on etc etc anyway to cut a long story short its now fixed :D would the misfiring cylinder/s have caused damage to the spark plug/s concerned

For those of you with Imports - has anyone sorted their insurance out online and not had the option - ie on those pulldown menus - to "admit" to having an import? Does that mean you have to phone? Or that they dont care :D ?! Also - don't you just hate it when you spend your lunch hour filling out page after page of details, then it says "Sorry we cannot quote over the internet, please phone us on...." pissed off, heard back from flacon concerning my poorly zed and compression test showed the following cylinder 1 = 105 psi cylinder 2 = 64 psi cylinder 3 = 52 psi cylinder 4 = 12 psi cylinder 5 = 15 psi cylinder 6 = 75 psi the cams have picked up as well apparantly. certainly a complete rebuild and also advised to get my new turbos checked. this car is a fookin nightmare, i have already spent 6k in april. i dont see the point of a rebuild as i just wont have the confidence in the car, but a new engine from nissan is 5683 quid. i see that coutesy are cheaper, have anyone of you bought one from courtesy or know anyone who has. big problem will b…

HI please tell me this is not one of them(clicky forum), as i used to own a gtir and for a bunch of blokes it was really bitchy and soon got p-off with them, you seem to be pretty helpful and a good bunch of lads, but about this petrol thread, i was told one thing and some of you say another, i really dont care, we all have one thing in common, fast cars like the ones we drive (zx300), so why worry about it and lets all just get on.:p :p

Great site. My first visit. My problem: the heating (A.C.) on my car starts going cold after a while. This seems to be because the ambient temperature reading goes very high (40degrees +) The A.C. seems to think the car is warm and therefore shuts of the heating. I guess I could cure this if I could find where the temperature sensor is for the ambient temp. Any ideas anyone?

Hi All Going to look at what appears to be a nice Jap import very soon, but it doesn't have cruise control fitted. It's a '91 manual TT. Was this standard on these cars? If not, is it a major job to retro-fit it? Probably won't bother anyway, but I was more interested in whether it should be there and isn't for some reason... Thanks

I've spotted a car that looks to be just what i'm looking for at the UK Importers club in liverpool. Anyone bought a car from them? They worth dealing with? Just on the off chance... do any of you guys live near liverpool? I was just wondering if any of you have seen the car of know anything about it. It's a G plate silver Manual TT and it's supposed to be in mint condition.

Just saw a lovely looking Grey 300zx in Euston, while I was coming back from the pub. Had standard arches, the same rear bumper as Iain's (Mac_1) with what looked like a GTR-Z front bumper and high wing arch rear spoiler. Licence was SGT, anyone in here ?

Dave Marley mentioned you might have some headlight bulbs left for sale. Its for my 89 300zx import ( bulbs have 2 prongs ) If you still have some any chance I could buy them off you?. If not could you let me know where you got them from as I urgently need some in case old bill pull me. Thanks Mark:D

Just a quicky.... Can anyone tell me where I can get a headlight bulb asap. I dont fancy getting pulled by the plod. Its an import 89 300zx and the bulb has 2 prongy things unlike the one in Harrys which had just one? Thanks a lot for any help recieved and merry xmas one and all. Mark:p
