I have a set of Volk Racing 17" split rims on my Z. I understand these are now called 'Rays' wheels, but I am struggling to find anyone who can re-seal and re-furbish them. I ambased in Mamchester, so the guys in Kent are a bit too far (sadly - cause their work looks rather good from recent postings) Can anyone recommend someone who could help?

Are the UK injectors the same as the Jap injectors ?. i.e. if the year and model are the same. Also, where can I find the Chasis number and Model number (I think the model no. is GCZ32-506076, but want to make sure) ?

Got my TT dynotested today. It was measured 241 bhp at the wheels and 423 NM torque. I actually was not expecting more power, think a saw a post somewhere saying they are around 240 at the wheels. The car is standard got 9 psi of boost. I am going to remove the cats, put in a K&N filter and a pair of boost jets and then test it again. I will post the results.

I saw in Japanese Performance mag a couple of months ago a guy with an Mr2 Turbo had installed an "Aquamist" cooling system which uses water injection to help cooling and boost performance. Did anyone read about this, or has anyone looked into it for the 300zx? Ooh - found their website : http://www.aquamist.co.uk Looks like very nifty bits of kit they supply... Any thoughts? Pete

I was talking to a boffin at kenlowe fans and was asking him a few questions! I asked him about replacements for the Z fan!! He said the problem with mechanical fans is that they do not move enough air at tickover, a big consideration for me living in London! Also above a certain speed the flow of air through the rad is impeded by the mechanical fan! So basically we have a small range of speeds where the mechanical fan is of some use! Has anyone fitted Electric fans to their TT Z and have an aftermarket temp gauge, have you noticed any increase in temperature?

Well it wasnt as tough as i thought it would be, and boy the results were great. More power, more free revving, great stuff. I bought the filter from e-bay from risv, at £54.95, including delivery not bad. I also changed the oil and am now using Millers, fully synthetic 5/40. This oil is the best in my opinion, i used to use it in my Evo and it was recomended by many Evo tunning companies. Car is running better than ever, just when i thought it couldnt get better. Tomorrow going to try and use 10k boost, which apparently clears the air ways and makes the car breath better, so i will tell u all the results tomorrow if i notice any difference Ray

Has anyone tried this? Hooking up the vac lines to a small amount of water to blast all the carbon out of the engine? Found a thread or two on TT.Net and it had me wondering!

Warren mentioned it in a post earlier this week how good the stuff is on the plastic, well I'm really impressed. I got my mum to bring me back some from the U.S and just tried it, it works a treat (I'm just full of puns:D :D ) Even on the plastic near the battery, nothing has ever got that black - well this stuff does!!! Picked up my alloys from Lepsons today. Heres the before pics... After... Cost a total of £205.63p This was for sparkle silver centers with polished rim and a small weld to fill in a deep curb incedent. I'am very happy with the result as they were very scabby after 5 winters, 50,000 odd miles and corrosive car wash cleaners! I found Lepsons after PaulC said he used them(thanks mate!). Here's the contact details: Lepsons Ltd Unit 13 Railway Street Business Park Railway Street Gillingham Kent ME7 1YQ 01634 580 582 http://www.lepsons.com AndyP I'll PM you about return of your alloys - would the week…

Hi guys I replaced the factory rear spoiler with a Wings West affair that I love and filled the gap on the boot lid with a factory perspex cover which I'm sure a lot of you on here must have too. The thing is that this cover does in fact have a light built into it which the workshop assured me they had wired up. On the outside it is black as the Ace Of Spades but on the inside if you look there is a red lens. I checked the bulbs were ligting up and they do but you can't tell from the outside. Am I missing something here ? Should I remove a piece or something ? It seems daft to bother to create a light fitting if it is so tinted that actually you can't see i…

Hi Guys, Since I've had the car I've noticed that not only are the main light a little dull as we all know, but the dash lights behind the dials are also a little on the dull side. I thought I may have a light out or something but I couldn't see any dark areas from looking at the dials. The adjustable light dimmer does work and is set to max. I took my dash apart yesterday to fit my carbon fibre dial surround. I thought I'd check the bulbs while I was at it. All the main bulbs were working fine but I did notice that they all had blue plastic sleeves over them. I imagine this is a heat protective film. But I don't understand why it's blue rather then clear ?. …

I’ve read a couple of times about early Zeds having dodgy automatic gearboxes (In a buyers guide and also mentioned in a couple of posts in this forum). I just know I’m going to regret saying this but mine 90 Jap import NA is running fine. What is the problem with them? What should I be looking out for? Any preventative maintenance I can be doing?

My Jap import NA has some rather nice 17” split rim alloys on it. Unfortunately they are starting to show their age a bit now. Is it possible to refurbish them and does anyone know of any companies (ideally in the north east) that do this sort of work? Also any idea of the cost involved? Damage is mostly light curbing and general old age!

So far I`ve had one of Luke`s fine cat back exhausts, a blitz induction kit, stage one chip and boost jets. I suppose these would be called light modidications to most on here. So what comes next? Any suggestions bearing in mind that the car has done around 70Kmiles and the turbos are sweet.

WFT you are saying. That should be no problem. Will I was in my Corsa 1.2 8V at the time. The poor guy in the other Corsa didnt know how to driver a car. LOL. There is nothing on here saying the kills have to be in your Z. ;) Stuart
