Help I don't want a mouth full of gas (petrol). I'm in the process of tearing my engine apart and I need to take off the fuel lines. is there a relay for my fuel pump that I could just pull off? on a differnt subject do I need to replace my head bolts when I pull of the head or can they be reused?

We people, all I can say is, don't these cars use a lot of fuel! Actually, I'm driving round with a slight leak in teh old tank still. Looks like Jeffs good work went to waste. I think the chemical fix would have been ok if nothing was to rub against it, but seeing as the hole originally came about due to one of the straps wearing a hole in the tank, I don't think it could have been avoided. Hence, AndyZ should be hstely sending a new tank down to the old World of Z, and I should be back up the old healthy 18MPG. Just thought I'd share that with you. Cos

I've got a 1990 TT Auto which overheated on the motorway last week. Got it home via the AA, but now as then it will not fire up. All belts are intact and everything is turning nornally but no attempt to fire up. Ignoring cause of overheating (for now), any ideas.

Does that ring a bell and what does it do. I went to have the brakes checked and the drivers side rear caliper was not working so had the wheel off and checked the caliper and that was fine, so the mechanic said it must be the load sensor. So how do i check this and what do i need to replace. Also will a diagnostic check bring this up, i had a word with Nissan today and they said half and hours worth of labour to do a diagnostic check at a charge of £27.50+vat. Any help would be gr8. Ray

Quick question for the people that are in the know. Just looking at the courtesy web site and i see there in an adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator , (£85) would this be a suitable alternative if you wanted to run 16-17psi or would you need to go to 555 injectors if this is a suitable alternative how much would you have to raise the pressure and would this shag the injectors ????

Any Ideas what the cause is ? The symptoms is brake shudder when braking from high speeds, I wouldn't say aggressive breaking but fairly firm. I have brembo disks on the front about 5 months old, with kevlar pads (still got quite a bit left on them). I don't think the discs are warped as I've done the "listen test" while the car has been jacked up and the wheels have been rotated. I couldn't hear an irregularities. Are we talking master cylinder here ?. If so how much £'s am I looking ?

I will be visiting the US of A the first week of June. Its work and I do not get any time off, but if you would like me to bring back some souvenir car parts I would be happy to save you the transport costs. All you have to do is get then delivered to me at my hotel. I will be staying in Williamsburg VA. By little I mean less than say 4kg - I expect to purchase my own souvenirs and the last time I exceeded my baggage allowance I got hit for £100! So do not expect me to bring over a new autobox! It will be judged on a first come, first served basis so bag your place in the queue asap by posting a reply to this message.

My Fairlady Z has now been off the road for a year with a F****d auto box. First of all the original box packed up on me in the lake district, and I had to be lifted by the RAC back to Slough (what a journey), then I eventually fought the box out of the car having dismantled the exhaust, etc; with just a jack and a pair of alxe stands to give me clearance under the car!!!! Took the box to a guy in Didcot, who told me that the box was unrepairable. Bought a box from Nippon Spares, and fitted it. No reverse and no 1st gear. Took this box out and over to the guy in Didcot. He said he fixed it, but I had the same trouble, took it back, and he said there was nothing wrong with…

Don't need much of an excuse to drive my Z so thought I would give my mates a lift home on friday night. They were just getting the obligitory kebab while I'm in my car waiting for them and I hear this THUD!!!! I look towards the rear of my car but a face is looking back at me through my targa's! Some square dude with glasses on has fkin launched himself onto my rear screen and is smiling at me through the t-tops! Now........we all love our Z's...........a kind of animal instinct kicks in if anyone was to do anything to hurt them........agreed? I was on auto-pilot as I got out of my car, picked him up by the waist of his jeans and the scruff of his neck and kinda …
