Well as it looks like the rain may be here to stay for a while, I think it's about time to replace my wiper blades as the rubber has split (fnarr...Fnarr!) and is hanging off. So what size wiper blades do I need front and rear and can I get them from Halfords? Cheers

A massive thank you to Jaz, Nigel and Trev for getting these faces to look as good as they do!!! I need peoples opinions on what we would like now. I know we are going to have different speedo's depending on Jap or UK but I'm looking to get a UK (mine:D ) done first to check it out. Trev has done the changes to the speedo's as per Tim's comments and here's how they now look. I would appreciate any comments about any changes we might like done. I will be speaking to him about have the boost and oil pressure blanked out, so if we could leave that for now.

Following on from another smokey turbo thread... Firstly, can I just say I can NOT manage this group buy - I will happily manage the correspondence with courtesy but after my latest $1000 bashing from them I can't afford to stump up the cash.... The parts required are:- Z32PCV-TT0590 Z32 PCV Hose Kit - Turbo 05/90 and up $49.20 2 x 11810-00002 PCV Valve - Z32 $8.61 This comes to $66.42 BUT you can get a discount by quoting a TTnet membership number. This converts to £41.71 at the CURRENT exchange rate. Don't forget there will be a shipping charge, VAT and duty to pay on these items ;) Place your names below if you're interested - w…

Hi guys, I've noticed if I leave the engine idleing for some time then drive off, I get a cloud of blue/white smoke from the exhaust for a few minutes, mainly during acceleration... This is intermittent, I think. Is this norm or should I worry??? The turbos and engine were reconditioned not too long ago!!! ALSO, is there anywhere near the rear underside of the car prone to some some of oil leak? I'm sure I've noticed oil drips on my drive that weren't there before. I may be mistaken, so I will investigate further... Regards, Peter

Hallo gurus and guru-esses – your advice is requested for a problem which hasn’t gone away of its own accord no matter how much I try to ignore it. Regular readers may remember that last year I had my wheel alignment checked but couldn’t get the front camber into spec. The people who checked it couldn’t offer much advice, Jeff TT’s visual inspection couldn’t see anything wrong and the dealer had no clue. I came across various versions of camber kits but couldn’t find out if these were just masking the problem rather than curing the root cause. So I did the sensible thing and ignored it hoping it would go away. During a service this week, the problem was red…

Apologies for the constant repeat folk, but I just want to make sure I get the right tyres, and I'm not near my car at the moment. I've got a standard UK TT with standard, stock alloys on it. I'm pretty sure the FRONT tyre size I want is: 225/50/ZR16 Can anyone please confirm that this is right, or let me know otherwise!?! Ta muchly, Russ.

This morning the Zed was being a bitch :( When I started it from cold the engine was idling at 1500rpm. Then when putting my foot down slightly there was next to no accelleration and a sucking noise from the engine that got louder the more I put my foot down, the revs were going up but there was very little power. There was also a slight smell of fuel coming through the vents. Then when stopped at traffic lights the idle was all over the shop from 500rpm up to 1000rpm and back down again and the whole car was shaking. The boost gauge was also reading one bar higher than normal at idle. When I was reversing into a parking space, with a cold engine the …

Inquirying for a mate. Where is the best place to get the Rear Shocks for a UK spec? Apparently the dealer price given to him is very high, and there may be another outlet? I assume they are Tokico with an adjuster (driven by a stepping motor attached to the handbrake switch). Is there anywhere recommended here in the UK? I guess he could go to the US (assuming the spec is the same). Thanks, Geoff

The oil pressure seems to be getting lower and lower when running at 3000 rpm. When started from cold at idle the pressure is steady at about 90 psi which then slowley drops to 30 psi as the engine warms up. Under driving conditions once the temeparture guage get to the fully warmed position the oil pressure is at about 65 psi with 3000 rpm but over the next say 10-15 miles this drops to about 40 psi. If you accelerate hard this gets up to about 50 psi then drops back down. Any ideas. She used to be rock steady at 60-65 psi under these conditions. The oil pressure sender is new and the previous one behaved the same way.
