code 13 on ecu

Hi all, had a code 13 come up on a ecu test, so i changed the engine sensor, still code 13 , do i have to reset the ecu by disabling the battery for an hour or should it reset itself when ignition turned off???or is there something i havn,t done ! any help appreciated , thanks guys..!

    Disconnect the battery for about 1/2 hour this should reset the ECU.
