Hey guys, I was referd to this forum by the Australian 300zx club, they said i might be able to help you all out. We have completed a group buy in Aus for the 300zx dials. We manufactured the indiglo dials with the design and feedback coming from the club members. They wanted a 300kmh speedo so we made it. I am happy to offer the same service to you guys. I can manufacture the dials to suite both TT and NA. All I need is about 25 guys in on the buy. Cost is going to be 90pounds total. However all i need is a deposit od 45 pound up front to be in the group buy. I will add PayPal details later. Turn around time is about 1.5 - 2 months bef…

Maybee ive done too much cleaning and not enough fixing!! I get an occasional sweak from what i think is the alternator belt (only does ot when loading the electrics). Can it be adjusted or is it a replace job? And how easy is it to do? And also, the silly question, which one is it? I can see lots of belts in there.

Hello there, My first post here on the UK boards, I am a TTnet regular and a Z fanatic... Anyhoo, I am converting my lighting system to accept H3 bulbs, and was wondering what the maximum wattage of bulb I could Use. Anyone have ideas as to what kind of thermal abuse the housings can take? Also, NE1 here able to get German Spec OEm Nissan parts? Please email me if so, I have a few questions for you... Bobby12many@yahoo.com Great board you guys got here :)

Quick - help needed. My luvly zed has been driving very nicely thanks very much, up until I got in it to come home from work this evening and something has gone horribly wrong. I've suddenly got a misfire! Even before the engine was hot I could hear it very clearly and the power delivery was decidedly lumpy. I stopped and turned off, waited a few minutes and re-started and still the same. When I got home I checked I hadn't lost an obvious hose connection under the bonnet and although I'm far from being mechanically minded, there wasn't a lose bit waggling around. Can anyone suggest a possible cause? and even better a remedy that doesn't involve dr…

My Gear knob has gone loose all of a sudden!! The Gearbox used to be tight and now is quite loose? Is there a plastic bush or similar that may have broke? Dan

I had my money in hand to buy a Blitz ECU upgrade today and they told me to wait two months while Blitz redesigns it to make it more 'user friendly'. What's the experience with other ECUs? JWT and Mines seem to be out there in numbers. All of the units claim lots but does anyone have some info on how they effect drivability? I ain't gonna do 1.5 bar so I'm not interested in max power, just better all around performance (Blitz SBC-ID, intake, no cats, 1998TT). Bill

Recently bottomed out my Z on a stupidly high speed hump and grounded the mid section of the exhaust. Now (especially when cold) it's making a loud rattling sound when revving. Took it down my local Quick Fit(!) just to get it up on the ramps and have a look. No external damage visible, but if you bang the pipes, something metallic is definitely loose in there! Anyone got any ideas what may have broken in the pipe to cause this and as a result, are there any performance or maintenance worries to consider? It seems to be running fine but it just sounds like a dog! On the same subject, I was considering having the car decatted. However, it's a UK '93 vehi…

Problem with Central Locking using a Clifford 300 Hi, I have a problem with remote central locking on my car, it only locks intermittently, it does however un-lock consistently. Any thoughts as to what may be causing this Is the central locking triggered though a remote replay which is maybe on the way out? Thanks. Mike

Hey again, I've managed to source some jap 300's now and in the process of getting one (hurrah!) but wanted to know about the spoiler options. looking through 300zx.org.uk changes, the series 3 spoiler changed to a bit bigger than the s2, HOWEVER, the 300zx faq claims the 1994 model changed from ducktail to a proper higher one. was this the s4 then? (its not shown on the changes page) I am at the moment going for an s3 (although an s2 saves the SAV charges), but if the s4 has the better spoiler, would obviously want to go for that :) Many thanks! ben

Currently my front fogs (Nissan jap spec) are wired into my rear fog wiring (so you can switch em off/on) and I want to make them come on permently with the dipped beam. Then I can turn on my rear fog light next time it's foggy (well - the inner rear brake lights anyway!) Anyone done this? Which wire in the fuse box did you splice into? Did you have to up the fuse? Regards, Jez.

Guys, Are there any major differences mechanically between the 2 ? And what difference in insurance premiums ? BTW I've just been quoted £602 fully comp for a UK spec Twin Turbo Z what would the difference be for an Import ?

I know a lot of you have the very sexy twin round lights on the back of your zeds, but I pressume that, in the most part, these are from a fiat, as per the kit that Luke supplies. My question is, do the larger rear lights from a skyline not fit in there? cos I suspect these would look rather good.

i read somewhere on this forum that it is relatively easy to get a zx up to 400bhp. is this true. i.e. is it easy and cheap or easy and EXPENSIVE. i have a imported TT which i assume is 280bhp standard. I have a boost controller but i dont think it works. So my question is......If it is relatively cheap and easy to get 400bhp then could someone tell me (preferably in detail) what i need to get and do and also someone in the midlands that would be able to help. Thank you rav

Yesterday (after a trundle in the country) the radiator cap blew off the rad and all the coolant went whoosh all over the road. This was after about an hour on the M4 at less than 90, followed by about 10 mins at 40. RAC bloke who filled up the system said the cap couldn't have been on properly as they never come undone by themselves. Has anyone else had a cap do this? (Real Nissan rad cap, real Nissan rad, no mods). Cheers - Gio

Decided to do a sevice (well, my best attempt at one!) today. Changed oil to castrol 10/60 (as recomended by macca!) Changed coolant, (but i didnt empty the engine banks as I didnt know you had to till afterwards!!) I just removed the main hose underneath. Wil this need doing again? How much more water can the damn thing hold??? I filled a bucket!!! Also after I refilled it, took it for a run came back checked for leaks there were none, job done i thought, but when i went back to it it had made a very small puddle on the floor under the resevior tank, so i topped the rad back up but it only took about 50ml (res tank was still fine) took it for another run a…

hi all i have a problem with my 91 tt import. it seems to only be firing on 5 cylinders! i was driving along and the car was running fine, suddenly it seemed to loose a cylinder. a warning light now comes on intermitantly. I dont know what this is for cos the manual I have is for the European model which doesn't include this in the dash warnings. It is on the left hand side of the dash under the speedo and looks like two parallel lines with a bulge in the middle and four squiggly lines (a bit like heat lines?) above it. It appears to be the middle light of a popssible five warning lights - can anyone enlighten me on what the problem may be or what the warning li…

I'm completly stuffed on this one! I've done a whole new rear cluster arraingment to use 'led' bulbs & stuff. Tail & b/light work well, but the indicator led's flash about 6 times faster than stock bulbs :(, looks pants. So i contacted the makers & they said some cars with a high relay output need a resistor in line @ the bulb to reduce the feed. Ok but they can't recomend a suitable 12v resistor for a Z. Any ideas? harve

Can anyone else remove their key from the ignition at any time? Like when the engine is running  It's handy for when the car is running and you need to go back into the house without turning off the engine, but it does worry me. Fortunatly the steering lock doesn't seem to work or my keys falling out of the ignition when driving could be a disaster

Hallo matey - you know who you are;) Thanks for pulling over- happily, the RAC bloke was only 5 mins behind you. It looks as if the rad cap just blew off (which everyone says means it wasn't properly on in the first place). Loads of RAC water later and trundly off home - no leaks (so far fingers crossed). Hope you find the bits to get your NA sorted soon. Thanks again - Gio :p

Hello! I bought some new rear speakers and a CD player at the weekend and need a bit of help :) The speakers went in fine - Pyle (?!) 6x4s and are looooads better than the standard ones I took out - one of which wasn't connected anyway   . Read loads of posts about bypassing the rear speaker amp etc and redrilling brackets - none of which seemed to apply  . They fitted perfectly and worked fine with the old stereo :) . Thats all fine, but I started on the CD Player (Panasonic CQ-RDP003N incidentally) and it's obviously got a more modern connector with bundle of colourful wires which doesn't simply slot into the connector sticki…
