now I know that they're as common as muck round our way, and I know they have plenty of reliability and build quality issues, I even have 2 mates and a client that own them, but still I got immense satisfaction from blasting an AM DB7 this morning! We were side by side at dual carriageway lights and when they changed he went for it, will a touch of wheelspin and testosterone. So I leant a little harder on the loud pedal and caught second neatly with a little bit of tail jiggle - NICE! - and sqeezed past him just before 65mph (about 5 seconds later!). He stayed a respectful distance behind until I turned off about a mile further. Next I need to try it a…

Hello all! Just been trying to wire up me new stereo. I linked the corresponding connections from the car (non-Nissan connector) to old Jap stereo to the new Panasonic one via an ISO plug. But the stereo won't come on - nothing, then it got dark  so I gave up. for tonight. I followed the wiring diagram stuck on the back of the old head unit but this ended up being slightly different to what was actually connected to it. What I would like to know is how to test which wires prutruding from the car are which? Can I put a battery across the speaker wires etc? What voltage? How do I test which wires connect to the battery/power and ignition. Its not …

If you have met me you know i have a 18" sub in da boot which as black sussex 300zx mark know was not too loud Well i did what swm1 did and remove everything out my boot and made a new box It was not the most perfect box (a good tube of silicon sealent fix that) and i just fired it up And boy it louder and woow But its good for deep bass song but for normal music you cant here sh*t over the rattles The box is sealed (ish back to the silicon) Do you think it is mostly the plastic panel under the spoiler in the boot that makes the rattles? You can sod off if you think i getting that box out again!

I've just bought a zx300 tt.. so i'm new to this site.... I needed a radiator for my new car...so I tried a second hand place in Stockton on tees (Middlesborough) called JAP PARTS.. they quoted me £250, I then telephoned the nissan dealer and was quoted £271 for a brand new one....When I got the quote off the nissan dealer, I telephoned JAP PARTS back to explain how much nissan had quoted me, and I was told off the lad that owned the place..... "if people are daft enough to pay his prices he will continue selling them at these prices" So I thought I'd warn you's all of this company incase any of you's were thinking of buying something from there...... Hey guys, I was referd to this forum by the Australian 300zx club, they said i might be able to help you all out. We have completed a group buy in Aus for the 300zx dials. We manufactured the indiglo dials with the design and feedback coming from the club members. They wanted a 300kmh speedo so we made it. I am happy to offer the same service to you guys. I can manufacture the dials to suite both TT and NA. All I need is about 25 guys in on the buy. Cost is going to be 90pounds total. However all i need is a deposit od 45 pound up front to be in the group buy. I will add PayPal details later. Turn around time is about 1.5 - 2 months bef…

Hello there, My first post here on the UK boards, I am a TTnet regular and a Z fanatic... Anyhoo, I am converting my lighting system to accept H3 bulbs, and was wondering what the maximum wattage of bulb I could Use. Quick - help needed. My luvly zed has been driving very nicely thanks very much, up until I got in it to come home from work this evening and something has gone horribly wrong. I've suddenly got a misfire! Even before the engine was hot I could hear it very clearly and the power delivery was decidedly lumpy. I stopped and turned off, waited a few minutes and re-started and still the same. When I got home I checked I hadn't lost an obvious hose connection under the bonnet and although I'm far from being mechanically minded, there wasn't a lose bit waggling around. Can anyone suggest a possible cause? and even better a remedy that doesn't involve dr…

I had my money in hand to buy a Blitz ECU upgrade today and they told me to wait two months while Blitz redesigns it to make it more 'user friendly'. What's the experience with other ECUs? JWT and Mines seem to be out there in numbers. All of the units claim lots but does anyone have some info on how they effect drivability? I ain't gonna do 1.5 bar so I'm not interested in max power, just better all around performance (Blitz SBC-ID, intake, no cats, 1998TT). Bill

Recently bottomed out my Z on a stupidly high speed hump and grounded the mid section of the exhaust. Now (especially when cold) it's making a loud rattling sound when revving. Took it down my local Quick Fit(!) just to get it up on the ramps and have a look. No external damage visible, but if you bang the pipes, something metallic is definitely loose in there! Anyone got any ideas what may have broken in the pipe to cause this and as a result, are there any performance or maintenance worries to consider? It seems to be running fine but it just sounds like a dog! On the same subject, I was considering having the car decatted. However, it's a UK '93 vehi…

Problem with Central Locking using a Clifford 300 Hi, I have a problem with remote central locking on my car, it only locks intermittently, it does however un-lock consistently. Any thoughts as to what may be causing this Is the central locking triggered though a remote replay which is maybe on the way out? Thanks. Mike

Hey again, I've managed to source some jap 300's now and in the process of getting one (hurrah!) but wanted to know about the spoiler options. looking through 300zx.org.uk changes, the series 3 spoiler changed to a bit bigger than the s2, HOWEVER, the 300zx faq claims the 1994 model changed from ducktail to a proper higher one. was this the s4 then? (its not shown on the changes page) I am at the moment going for an s3 (although an s2 saves the SAV charges), but if the s4 has the better spoiler, would obviously want to go for that :) Many thanks! ben
