hi all how much is the rear seal on an autobox the one propshaft end cheers cully z:)

good evening all on the rear wing of me motor theres like scratches which look like they,ve been done with a key i,ve tried polishing them out to no avail so is there anyway of removing them without respraying the whole wing cheers cully z:confused:

Anyone used these people for stuff? Nice website easily searchable. I'm probably going to order a stainless exhaust system from them for my bad weather car.

Hi folks, wonder if anyone can help with this little problem... When I first got my Zed I noticed the interior light (and sometimes the "door open" light on the dash) came on occasionally when going overa bump at high speed. I could also hear a relay or something clicking in the rear left wing so I assumed it was due to the tailgate. A quick search of this forum found a similar problem, and suggested I should adjust the tailgate latch for a tighter fit, which I did several times - each time making it worse! When I was adjusting the latch, I noticed that when all 3 bolts are loosened the clicking goes crazy when I just touch the single bolt (on the left as you …

Hi guys, It's about time I had a proper zed mech take a look at the Z, but don't know where. I'm pretty sure (he says with fingers crossed) that it's in good nick, but I don't know what's been done to it in the past (I've little to no servce history). So I'm looking for some-one do a thorough diagnostics from bumper to bumper and point out what's stock, what not, what's on it way out, and what can be done to improve it. Done a quick search on past posts, but didn't see anything for this area. So, the question(s): Can you recomend anyone in the Oxford/Bucks/milton keynes or surrounding area that know their stuff? Heya everyone! Im new here, had my z less than a mnth and love it, btw its the yellow one on paul baileys site (under 'front section l' & 'rear wing l') if anyone wants to look, i was amazed to see it there! Anyway back to the point, when accelerating hard it changes to 2nd gear at 48mph then 3rd at 80mph then still pulling hard in 3rd i click the overdrive button ON and the revs pick up slightly and it pulls even quicker! Are your z's the same? Does it accelerate slightly quicker with o/d on all the time? Also, it wont kick down to 1st if im doing over 24mph is that normal and can i adjust to get 1st at say 30mph? anyone here recommend where i can get an induction kit from, just tried demon tweeks but no go fo a 300. would prefer cone type so i can rip out the existing box, have searched archives and foung differing views on each manafacturer. is there another online shop anyone uses i dont know about?? ta!!

*that should be 4 and 6* Just a follow up really to my other post about me snapping off a wire to one of my injectors. Have got this sorted but strangely enough am now missing on cylinders 5 and 6! (from front, r/h/s, top 2) WTF have I done to cause that? Plugs are only a few months old, from Courtesy and those injector connector's seem fine. I suppose I now need to determine if its lack of spark or fuel? Is there a test I can do for the injectors? I have a multimeter. Its just thrown me that 2 cylinders are down for no apparent reason! but then nothing on a Z happens for a reason so I should be used to that by now. I haven't touched that side of the engine at all!…

Forgive me for being dumb, but this is first forray into my Zed engine compartment ;) How much are standard air filter elements and any ideas on who might stock them in Bristol? How do I get the nose section off? I took out the two screws at the top and it aint moving. I lifted it and peered underneath there seems to be two nuts at the very bottom near the bumper...Bastards! ;) How the hell do I take the section off, it's going to be a nightmare to get to the nuts at the bottom and I don't want any screws or nuts falling off where I can't get them again. Sorry for being a bit stupid ;) I'm going to clean the TPS later and see if that helps. …

hi all does this addative work my mate reckons theres this oil u add to yr gearbox that will make yr seals softer and therefore stop any leaks i dont think it will stop mine as my leak was caused by an overfilled gearbox. blown seal on the rear end of it i guess , so have anybody used this stuff . almost forgot , how much r the rear oil seals for an autobox 1991 non turbo cheers cully z:)

Just driving to work and it just stopped, My ZD is ill any Idea's? All the dash lights came on , the engine turns over at normal cranking speed but nothing!

I just recently changed my front brake pads and after 100 miles I still have a really bad brake shudder when breaking from 40 mph and above. From last week I have noticed dripping from the front suspension link bushes at the side of the radiator grease/oil like substance dripping on my garage floor. Tonight I put my car over a pit at work to find the oil/grease is actually was dripping from these bushes, the other end of the link bolts onto the bottom wishbone. I have no signs of oil from anywhere else near the bushes and as they are at the front near the radiator the only place the oil/grease can come from is these bushes. hello all, im fairly new to all this 300zx talk, ive had my tt auto import for about 6 months now 60,000 klm on clock and amaculate in grey. ive had gtirs in the past then made the jump to 300's wow i love it and i can't really see me ever selling! anyway enough of the life story, everythings been great until i started to notice a slight drop in revs about a month ago. since then ive had a s/s powerflow with japcans fitted, i fitted k+n panel filters, now it seems to be getting worse and when you sit at the back of the car the drivers side exhaust seems to be (farting) and the passenger side is real deep and smooth, ive cleaned the throttle bodies (black) and re-adjuste…

can any1 help me, the garage has had our car for 6 months for a gearbox rebuild ,now we got it back the speedo is not working right and ecu said code for the speed sensour , and the car sticks in 4 gear when u hit traffic, nissan said its something 2 do with inside the gearbox, but they dont know wot it can be , can any of u help me ,plz plz plz :confused: :( coz if we cant get the car going we r going 2 have 2 sale it and we dont want 2 do that .

hi all reasons why 350zx does nout for me. the back end looks like they ,ve nicked the design from porsche 928 the front end from a toyota celica and the middle an audi tt not an original design at all same with all new cars these days they all pinch designs off each other , ran out of ideas i guess.. they will never beat the 300zx for its sleek looks purebred class the z 32 so whoever is responsible for the 350zx design should have spent another 9 yrs to dream up something which doesn,t look german mind you hitler would have been mighty proud of it. anyway thats my view on it cully z:D :D :D

Talking to the guy who fitted me a new battery (Boch Silver £58.) A friend of his has been quoted £5,000 for 1 new turbo. They say 40 hours labour, what the f**k is that all about?? Told him about this site, any of you wizzards know contact numbers and prices? His Lady Friend loves the car but is considering selling because she can not afford the bill from Nissan. Come on guys lets keep another Z purring and away from Nissan dealers. PS she will not mind travelling if the price is right. Bob

Thought i'd check the air filters on my Zed last night. After spending 10mins scratching my head, i evetually found it under the plate between the front lights. Only to discover it wasnt a pair of flat air filters as i've been told but a large yellow foamed HKS filter!! Has this been modified to accomodate this? How do i replace the filter / clean it? Dan
