Whilst stuffing my face at Pizzahut this evening I was speaking to a mate about NOS. I was mentioning that it is all very well but try and gte anyone to touch you if you declare you have Nitrous fitted. He went on to tell me how he had heard you can get away with it without incurring any extra cost on your premium. Apparently you declare it but tell them you only use it for track use. This way the insurance company will not load your premium as thye are not lible to pay out on track related damage anyway. Obviously if you had a smash you would wanna unplug the system to cover your arse if an inspector did have a look at it. I think this seems a …

got a poorly rear wheel bearing. Can anyone give me an idea of cost for these? Is it an easy DIY job? Any specialist tools required? Are the parts readily available? (car is a '91 NA) Should I be thinking of doing both rear ones? Cheers David

My lovely Zed, yesterday ran perfect. Got home went in for dinner 15 minutes later came out, went to start the car and it did not start. I used ConZult no errors found. But there is a hissing sound coming from around the back right-hand side coil pack. I tightened the pipes, but still can hear a hissing sound and the car will still not start. I think it may be something to do with the fuel, as when I switch the relay off with conZult the car will start but not for long. What the hell is going on with my Zed

The Apexi is billed as maintenance free but does it need some cleaning? If so, what is the best way? Cheers, David

Not actually zed related, but the theory should be the same... taking a friend's bmw 535 (straight 6) to a trackday on sat, but the exhaust is REALLY loud. Oulton Park's really strict on noise, so what's the best way to (temporarily) quieten it?? Has anyone tried the clamp on silenser they do at DEmon Tweeks?? Rich

After many months of searching I finally found the perfect 300zx in the summer, now my work have just decided to give me a company car! I've had the 300 for about 6 months now and she has stolen my heart, but I can't realistically run two cars - so I'm forced to think with my head and really ought to sell her :( She's a Black, manual, SWB, T-top, twin turbo with 50K miles (took a long time to find a car with all that lot). Also came over with a 4-5" single exit SS exhaust (not got the tape measure out yet!), Koenig alloys, induction kit (not sure on the make) and full ohlins suspension all round (v. expensive and about the best suspension setup money can buy) - …

Dunno what happened on Sunday - maybe me and all me mates thought Top Gear started at 8pm (like normal). But NO, F*$KING 7pm it started, got a text from my mate at 7:45 asking if I was watching - just caught the last 5 mins with the Z's on. Could someone post an AVI or MPG up on the site for those that missed the Zed's giving some piss!!! Cheers Rod

Sorry to raise this one again, but I'm looking for a good deal on a set of boots. I have 17 x 8" rims with 235 F1s on the front and 255 BF Goodrich on the back. All are going to need replacing soon so I need a hot deal and suggestions for the best grip/wear compromise. I'm using the car every day to queue up in traffic, then I get to drive it a little bit at the weekends. Thanks.

Im looking at getting some cams for my Z when I rebuild and have been told to ask you for your advice on the matter. How have you found them? Does it affect the driving in the lower rev range? I want to make my car as drivable as possible but I hear cams makes the lower revs a little difficult. Thanks Stuart

Another problem has arisen with the conversion! The NA and TT, PS pumps are different along with the brackets, also my convertible doesn't have Hicas and my TT donor does! The only solution we can come up with is to mill the NA pwer steering pump to fit the TT bracket! Any ideas!!
