whats the best boost controler to get. i have an apexi filter zees exhaust and impul ecu. this seems to be a very important item so im not bothered what it costs i simply want the best and safest one for the car. by the way anyone know anything about impul ecus:confused:

Now I fitted this what can I reasonably boost up to? Would you think 15.5 or 14.5 psi? Does the JWT chip raise the redline too? Does anyone have any info on these. Ta very much

hi every one I do my best to describe this! upon braking quite hard I can hesar and feel a knock, then when I pull away it knocks agian, ive just done the tension rods so carn't be that, just been undercar with wheels in the air and I carn't see anything worn , but the anti roll bar links do feel really slack , (loads of movement in the ball joints) the suspension does knock when I go over bumps. could it be the anti roll bar links that cause this knocking and cluncking when braking? many thanks mates for any advice. So what are these style car parking bollards all about then? At my local Gym there's these ridiculous bollards that are about the size of a medicine ball, mounted on the ground and are made of concrete with ingrained stones. How pleased I was then that I found a space right next to them in the car park so that no prat with an A Reg escort could try and sqeeze in to the already tiny spaces this place provides. Coming out on a high after gazing at all the girlies in tight tops and spandex and decided to exit the car park the other way. Whoops, totally forgot about the bollard which you can't see at all when in the car. I now have quite a lot of damage to the Sill…

Can anyone tell me if the wheel centre's are the same for a MAZDA MX6 and the 300 as I have a chance of 18 inch wheels from a smashed MX6 for next to nothing as they need refurbished. Cheers John Crisp

ok so ive got a performance exhaust . apexi induction kit and a impul racing ecu what do i do now to improve the performance. the impul was allready fitted to the car so ive no idea of the state of tune of the motor. its got no bovs and is running standard boost. i think?:D

Recently I was noticing a smell of petrol occassionaly, so last weekend I replaced the fuel filter, all the hoses with high pressure rubber fuel line ( I could not quite afford the nice steel braided ones this month) and all new hose clamps. I still have the occassional petrol smell, I have ran the engine and inspected for leaks - no leaks. I am at a loss as to where the smell is coming from, when the smell is there it is when sat at the traffic lights mainly. Are there any valves or gismos that could be responsible for causing this petrol smell ? Any suggestions on where to look next would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John Dixon

Hallo all, Can any one confirm the correct part number for the Oil Pressure Sending Unit for a Series 1 J spec TT Manual? It's the large-ish lumpy thing which sits where the oil filter goes (if you see what I mean). I've done searchy searchy here and elsewhere and I think the number is 25070-30P01. If so, it costs £80 + VAT in the UK and $60 in the U$A! Next question, if I wanted to fit an aftermarket one, which one and where would you stick the connection? Ok i know this is lame but can anyone tell me where the alternator is and what it looks like? I have taken out the radiator, so im guessing its behind that somewhere ?!? What does it look like ?:rolleyes:

Mate I suggest you sell the ZX and buy a Micra, this will wean you back into going above 40. You could them get a Primera and then onto a Maxima or go for the do or die approach fit bigger turbo's and nitrous.

My mates auto is showing a prob with his TPS. Can I unplug the one of my manual and test it on his?

I think the standard spoiler is the only thing left on my zed that really dates the style - so I'm thinking of buying a tailgate skin from the zcentre, but have been told by my local bodyshop that to fit and paint will cost anything up to £400! Has anyone else had this unit fitted, and is this a fair price? I hope not!:) Ch

Hi all just got quote from local bodyshop for some work on the z was wondering if anybody had similar done and whether the price was reasonable, live in berks so going to nottingham isnt really an option but if anyone knows anywhere else locally that will do a good job for better quote Realign front nose cone and some small misalignment on both front wings - and respray whole front bumper repair some fiberglass scuffs to the front bumper and grill panel touch up some bits on bonnet, door and rear wing @ £519 cheers

Has the ZX a diagnostic port for the auto transmission, if so can somebody tell me where it is located. I have done the on board diagnostics and I am just getting constant flashing, I believe this indicates that the battery has been off, how many start-stop cycles does the car need to build up a history again. 1991 jap spec zx N/A with hold + power switch

My mate has just got a UK TT Auto. Just test drove it and its lovely apart from......... 1. When you switch the ignition on the yellow light on the right hand side (middle light) comes on - then flashes 16 times. It does this every time you put ignition on - whats this mean? 2. The boost guage, reads 0 on tickover, when you rev it it drops to about -5 then let go and it shoots straight back to 0. When moving it goes upto about 9psi. 3. Its slow, I know the Auto will not be as quick as a manual(:D Stand back and await email assualts) but it is not very quick at all - it feels like theres no turbo kicking in. Hello All Doing a Auto to Manual G/box swop and I'm a little concerned as how I'm going to get this bush out of the crank, I've read what others have done and I just can't bring myself to whacking it with a large hammer. Has anybody out there found a successful way of getting these out without resorting to the mighty hammer?. Cheers Steve

Do Z's need to run on optimax and or/octane booster? My bro-in-law is running his jap import on 95RON, ive advised him i think he should use higher octane or and/or octane booster but is that correct?
