I thought I'd try and bonk some knowledgable heads together, Have a problem with an MR2 turbo, stock apart from exhaust and blitz induction kit. If idle is set to standard of 750 RPM the car appears to run fine but every now and then it will stall whilst idling, usually when light on the accellerator or just coming off, If the idle is adjusted to 1200rpm the car will not stall but every now and then the revs will drop to around 400rpm. Obviously the high idle is stopping the car from stalling. What could be causing this? Hi all, just spoken to a very nice guy at Zedworld where Im gonna get my car sorted. Now for an extra 350 I can get a 70bhp ECU chip fitted. I dont think mines modified, if it is I obviously wont bother but if not is this a good upgrade? 70bhp should give me a noticeable difference right?

got a problem with clutch while driving when i went for next gear pressed clutch it went straight to floor and did not return, lost all pressure looked in resovoir and it was drained. checked underneath and could see the slave cylinder had popped out which means the clutch arm had no pressure to keep it in place obviously something has gone inside clutch, is this a common problem if so what has happened. the clutch was working perfectly before this happened. had some quotes for a new clutch fitted, quite a hefty bill would the thrust bearing have caused problem because it did make a bit of noise when depressing pedal if so could be cheaper way out or would this …

Apparantly, my suspension is going to piss. what do you think, replace or upgrade? If upgrade what direction should I go? What are some good brands you lot have had good fortune with?

Looks like I might have a fuel leak. Is there any particular weakness in the engine bay that crops up more than others? Am also interested in people's mileage. I seem to be getting around 120 miles to a tank. TT with Turbo Technics Turbo's at approx 0.68 bar. Is this about right? Thanks, Ice

Anyone know where I can get one of these from and how much I should be paying? Also, is there an idiots guide to fitting it anywhere? Plan to add a pair of Smithy's nice shiny pipes at the same time, sick to death of my leaky rad caused by knackered plastic bits at the sides!

Nissan want almost £240 for a pair of shitty rubber mounts which is an absolute joke! I've seen some poly ones on an Australian site which are cheaper but does anyone know if there are any alternative uprated ones available here? Tried MJP but no luck. Cheers, Chris.

Do all 300zx TT have the cockpit adjustment shocks? if so what sort of adjustment do they provide and where are the adjustment switches located. Ive just test driven a 1991 imported 300zx tt and couldn't find it. Thanks

Thanks for the help on this forum, totally superb! I have a small problem. My accelerator has been sticking (which is pretty scary). After a closer inspection, it looks like the bar that runs across the engine at the front is catching on a rubber connector of somekind, which has popped out of it's holder. A friend of mine believes this to be some kind of air intake/escape. There are two of them. I will try and get a photo to show you. My question really is what can I seal it with? I have some rubber sealant for windscreens (and the inevitable leaky t-top) - would that do? Also, when I turn the ignition on, the heater always comes on full blast, which it d…

At the end of October my 300 cut out while returning from work, anyways after plenty messing about i suspected the PTU, I ordered one at the start of November, they took a week and a phone call to tell me the part was out of stock when ordered but was now in stock. Technical query for tonight - I noticed today that my oil pressure seemed to be tad lower than normal. So I checked the owner's manual and the workshop manual which are a little contradictory (there's a surprise!). Having converted to proper units (i.e. psi): - the owner's manual says "normal" is between 9psi and 85psi - the workshop manual says (when warm and without load) idle is 11psi and 3,000 revs is between 51 and 65psi Today I was getting (on a standard OEM gauge and after being well warmed up on the motorway) 8 or 9 psi at the low end and maybe 30 to 40 psi while trundling (60mph in top, hardly any throttle). I have recently had a KMH to MPH conversion done on my TT. The speedo now records MPG ok but it looks like the trip and milometer are still working on KMH? Thanks, Ice

merry christmas fellas, santa brought me a blitz dual turbo timer, done most of the wiring but am unsure where to find the shift lock wire for the auto transmition, i have to splice into it as it is a safety feature so the car wont drive off if i leave it in drive and the turbo timer is counting down!! any help much appreceated dewi ap

Still need help with this, after replacing a pipe and losing 99% of my PS fluid I fill it up now but after about 2 miles the light comes on and its leaking out of the reservouir, why is it doing this? do you need to bleed it or am i doing something wrong?

I've coolant leaking from the back of engine, and was wanting to check what pipes were back there, (for when I try to investigate with a mirror !!) Previously, I've seen a picture on the site somewhere which shows the back view of an enigne out of the car, but I can't seem to find it now I need it........ Hi all I'd like to fit the jap (or usa) spec front fogs to my uk car. The indicators/sidelight bit is not a problem, but are the fogs easy to wire in? Are there already wires fitted, or will I have to run them from somewhere. Obvoiusly I will need to fit a switch on the dash. Has anyone done this? If so any tips? Thanks Richard:)

Has anyone converted two of the reverse lamps to fogs ? If so has anyone got any pics / instructions. Looks as though the only difficulty is modding the bulb holder.

I had a baileys twin piston Dump valve on my supra, Im looking for one for my zed. I presume as its got 2 turbos I need 2 dump valves? Anyone confirm whether I can get another baileys and nick the other off my supe? Are they fairly easy to install? Any recomendations for another type of DV?

Got in my car this morning, turned the key and it made a screaming noise - tried a feww times then it just turned over - does this mean my starter motor is on its way out? If so are they easy/costly to replace?
