    Technical query for tonight - I noticed today that my oil pressure seemed to be tad lower than normal. So I checked the owner's manual and the workshop manual which are a little contradictory (there's a surprise!). Having converted to proper units (i.e. psi): - the owner's manual says "normal" is between 9psi and 85psi - the workshop manual says (when warm and without load) idle is 11psi and 3,000 revs is between 51 and 65psi Today I was getting (on a standard OEM gauge and after being well warmed up on the motorway) 8 or 9 psi at the low end and maybe 30 to 40 psi while trundling (60mph in top, hardly any throttle). And the needle seems to wander about…

    merry christmas fellas, santa brought me a blitz dual turbo timer, done most of the wiring but am unsure where to find the shift lock wire for the auto transmition, i have to splice into it as it is a safety feature so the car wont drive off if i leave it in drive and the turbo timer is counting down!! any help much appreceated dewi ap

    Still need help with this, after replacing a pipe and losing 99% of my PS fluid I fill it up now but after about 2 miles the light comes on and its leaking out of the reservouir, why is it doing this? do you need to bleed it or am i doing something wrong?

    I've coolant leaking from the back of engine, and was wanting to check what pipes were back there, (for when I try to investigate with a mirror !!) Previously, I've seen a picture on the site somewhere which shows the back view of an enigne out of the car, but I can't seem to find it now I need it........ Does anyone know where I can find this, or similar ?? Thanks Ash

    Hi all I'd like to fit the jap (or usa) spec front fogs to my uk car. The indicators/sidelight bit is not a problem, but are the fogs easy to wire in? Are there already wires fitted, or will I have to run them from somewhere. Obvoiusly I will need to fit a switch on the dash. Has anyone done this? If so any tips? Thanks Richard:)

    I had a baileys twin piston Dump valve on my supra, Im looking for one for my zed. I presume as its got 2 turbos I need 2 dump valves? Anyone confirm whether I can get another baileys and nick the other off my supe? Are they fairly easy to install? Any recomendations for another type of DV?

    Spent much of the afternoon replacing the alternator, power steering and compressor belts, thermostat, stubby rubber hoses and the metal pipes that attach them to the heads. Is it just me, but removing the power steering belt was THE most difficult part of the whole job - took f-in ages to get enough slack to get the belt off. Also I manged to snap a pukka Facom allen key getting off one of the bolts that holds the casting with the two temp sensors - that fella was on TIGHT !!!! Anyway, so far all seems OK, no leaks but I think I need to tighten up the alternator belt a little - horrid squealing noises. And another small mystery is that the car is now runni…

    Hi Guy's Please help. Tonight i caught my passenger door mirror on the drive hedge and it's broken the centre shaft. It's now hanging by the electrical wires. It's broken the retraction shaft in the centre of the mirror. Questions!! 1) How do i get the mirror off. Noticed that there are two screws underneath the mirror, what will these release??. It'll probaly repair if i can get at the two shaft halves. How does the mirror glass come out, etc?? If not, can the internals be swapped over from a damaged mirror. Hope you can help. Cheers Dave.

    Just want to do the MOT test before she goes to Autotrader, but unfortunely she got failed, so I got to get both sterring RACK GAITORS and REAR BUSH (brand new) soon, as my last MOT is nearly expiry. I don't even know what RACK GAITORS is, does anyone know where can I get those from? Also I have seen the web of Z-centre, but I don't know I need the bush only or the whole bush kit, please help!!!!     Ok guys, where have you put yours? I've left mine for ages saying I'll do it when I change the oil, and finally got round to doing it today. Changed oil, removed bolt above filter and placed the sender there. Filled up with oil again, all fine. Tried to drive off and realised I couldn't steer! The sender was blocking the steering shaft. So had to swap the sender for the bolt and got oil everywhere in the process (didn't fancy draining it again) Tried here for oil sender (where the stock US one goes) - now I know why they moved it

    I've had a flick through the old posts about headlamp bulbs, but I can't seem to see anywhere that mentions that the imported ones seem to have two connectors on the back of the bulb, but the ones sold in Hellfords only has the one. I'm assuming here that the one that is missing is the earth and it merely using the earthing of the connection through the connection with the headlamp unit. Can Anyone enlighten me - about this or where to get the right bulbs? Cheers Rod

    Hi all I need some help! Looking at the engine with bonnet up. I have steam rising from down by the right side turbo! This means a water leak! It only happens from cold after the engine is warm (5 mins) then only for about a minute then stops! I am not losing lots of water. But to get to the water pipes! Is this an engine out job!     I recently replaced one of the power steering pipes after it split and gushed out all the fluid just about everywhere, now ive filled it up again it seems to be pushing fluid out of the reservoir bottle as if ive over filled it or something and also the steering feels a bit weird, goes light then a little sticky and doesnt seem to want to straighten itself up. Is there maybe an air lock or something or am i doing something wrong? any ideas welcome!

    I went to work last night and left my Zed on the drive all night. Ive just returned home and for some reason, the battery has gone flat over night. The led in the car isnt even flashing! This wouldnt be a problem, but for the fact i have no door keys for the car! The only key i have is for the ignition, everything else is remote central locking!!!! How on earth can i get in without putting the window through? Is there a way of undoing the bonnet from outside the car? Im really stuck! Thanks for any help - Mike
