Just got round to fitting a slam panel kit. Not overly impressed. Although they look nice had to file a few edges off to get to fit right and now the bonnet won't fit flush. Anyone else had any probs with fitting and if so ideas how I can adjust it so the bonnet fits flush.

As I said before bought my 300 couple of weeks ago pressure of work has meant not much time to play with it!). The garage couldn't tell me much about it but going through some of the bills etc have found the following: Its a 1993 UK auto SE Maxflow Ait intake kit and SE Dump valve kit fitted Sep 2003. Piggyback ECU, ITG Induction Race filters, Mongoose Exhaust system, and "Custom Aluminium Air box System" all fitted in 2001. Would like some advice/information on what I've got here as being a newcomer (saw the car when I bought the wife an MR2 and decided "what the hell" looks good i'll buy it!! :D

My rear spoiler is starting to show the usual cracks and blisters. Has anyone tried to refurb their spoiler, stripping paint off, etc. and respray. If so, did you use any special sealer over the foam? Thanks John

After I had driven the car today for a short journey, on the drivers side by the front bumper there was a pool of washer fluid- well, I am pretty sure it's washer fluid. It was dripping down the bumper by the wheel arch at the front and had collected inside the bumper. Is this just a washer fluid leak? Or is there something more sinister? The bottle had needed topped up more quickly than I thought, so hopefully that is all it is. My car has the fluid bottle at the back on the passenger's side- you have to open the boot to fill it. That's not the same as UK cars I don't think. I just don't understand why it's coming out where it is- I can see the small hoses going up …

I've got a pair of T28's and I need to fit the Forge adjustable actuators to them. How do you go about setting them up? Am I best taking them to a turbo specialist? Chris.

my power steering is too heavy, I had another Zed owner try. He has told me to check the fuse in the drivers side kickpanel. Now some numpty has taken out the fuse puller so which fuse do I need to get my pliers on? Is it the 15A EPS HICAS? Cheers or is it located somewhere else?

Im thinkin gof having the cars interior re-leathered. Its leather seats etc at moment in black but they are looking tired. Has anyone had them redone. I was thinking of going for a red and black scheme, i.e. bottom half would be red leather, top of dash and doors is black still. Whaddya think - tacky or not? My Girlfiriend says red would make it look too tacky. Anyone done this with pics? Any ideas on a price I should pay?

Ive got a problem with my jap n/a, after driving a few miles with the foot down and then slowing down for traffic i suddenly noticed the oil pressure start to drop off slowly from around 40psi all the way down to ZERO, now on start up from cold its 60-70psi(normal) and once warmed up it now sits at 30psi after watching it for a few minutes it dropped 10psi and came straight back up to 30psi, seems to have a mind of its own, after leaving it running for 20 mins more everything is fine. By my reckoning its either the pump or the big end bearings, the oil level is fine, any ideas as to the costs of replacing with new.

Thought I’d share my experience. Problem: The dreaded vibration throughout the car at anything above 30mph. Tried the obvious and cheap solutions by having wheels balanced and new gearbox mount fitted. No success. Forum search suggested centre bearing but my vibrations didn’t stop at 50-60 mph, as suggested, but continued to increase in severity as the speed increased. My mechanic and I did an external visual inspection of the propshaft and bearing, but all seemed well. Despite this, I purchased a new centre bearing but when the mechanic opened the propshaft to fit it, he immediately informed me that there was nothing wrong with my centre bearing. However, the …

All, I'm now resigned to the fact that my gleaming import TT's Autobox is knackered. I've had an expert take it out for a spin with a computer attached and the car is commanding 3rd and OD but it's stuck in second which means I can only do a hundred(ish) :D and get about 4 to the gallon. I've had a quote from a reputable of £1880+VAT with 12K/1 Year Warranty. Other than a S Class Merc. it was of course the most expensive in their books! Does anyone know where I can get this kind of work done cheaper? Is there anyone in the Kent/Sussex area that fancies a bit of extra cash? I will run the diagnostic's when I get the car back from the garage next …

Back in August I had a rear o/s tyre blow out ripping the top of the tyre from the inner wall. 6 weeks after getting it changed the exact thing happened again (but this time on a motorway which got quite interesting). The car was pulling, quite badly, to the left when it wanted to arousing suspicions of a worn steering sensor. The car was checked from top to bottom by Nissan on their diagnostic checking laptop thingy with all electrical reports showing clear. They then checked all the cambers, alignments and everything else you could think of. It came back as the rear being slightly out which they corrected. After picking the thing up this morning the pulling i…

Does anyone know how the std rear spoiler comes off these cars. If I remove it will the boot have holes or marks in. Im wondering if its bolted on or stuck on as such. The statte its in Id rather have it removed and not have one but if it means an untidy boot I wont bother. Cheers

This is prob a stupid question but how do you install boost guage's and adjustable boost controlers? i understand how it works on a straight engine with a turbo, but how do you bleed of air from booth actuators at the same level? or is there only one actuator? and how do you take a boost reading when there are 2 turbo's? Just got my Z so im still trying to figure it out! cheers

Hi, Me mates got a problem wit his Z, basically he said it started when he was doing over a ton on the motorway for some time. The road was wet as ****, nasty rain and cars infront splashing up spray. Now the car will not rev over 2000 rpm and keeps spluttering kinda like on the rev limit at 2k. After a while goes to restart and it wont almost like the engine is flooded? Any ideas on what this could be? he was told possibly air mas / sensor, and wants to take the one off of my Z to try on his, two things; 1. does this sound like a mas prob 2. is it worth me ripping mine off? cheers steve

Hi all Apologies if this has been asked a million times before.......but what size are the standard front speakers in a Zed? I'm assuming 6" or 6.5". As speaker technology has moved on a tad since my car was built, I'm quite happy to fit new direct replacements, or go for 6x9" if they'll fit without a lot of work. All comments welcome. Cheers Paul :)
