I recently replaced one of the power steering pipes after it split and gushed out all the fluid just about everywhere, now ive filled it up again it seems to be pushing fluid out of the reservoir bottle as if ive over filled it or something and also the steering feels a bit weird, goes light then a little sticky and doesnt seem to want to straighten itself up. Is there maybe an air lock or something or am i doing something wrong? any ideas welcome!

If it was an air lock I would think that the steering would feel sticky all the time.

 

You may have a problem with your PAS pump ?.

 

Does the car also whine when you turn to full lock ?.

no it doesnt seem to whine at all...getting confused with it cus i re-topped it up this morning and it was fine but took it out tonight and the hicas came back on:confused:
