Just wondering what ya's think really. So I'm debating on pulling my 99 spec Front on the car, but also considering whether to paint the mounth on the 89 spec one as I think it makes the number dated. D you think it'd look better with that grey bit painted the same as the rest of the car?

  5. Can anybody confirm if the tt rear sway bar is solid or hollow? Reason I ask is that the service manual doesn't quote an inner diameter for the ukdm zed but quotes it for the us and australian rear sway bars?

On way back from meeting going along M20 at 70 mph no problem. Came off Mway & engine starts to hesitatate put throttle down picks up, Take foot off gas engine fades then picks up! Get home engine on idle 1000rpm smooth. Take revs to 2000rpm engine drops to 1700 then back to 2000! This happens up to 4500rpm same thing engine drops then picks up! At 5000rpm it remains at 5000! Where do I start looking?

Love the sound of a bov But doing a little research found this article Any truth, I can understand logic behind what is said but quite often see them fitted "Z32: Don’t install blow off valves on a 300ZX Tech Article: Don’t Install a BOV on a 300ZX Composed by:*300ZXttZman By: Greg @ Specialty Z Here’s why you won’t want to install BOV’s on a engine with a MAF sensor: When you make any positive boost and you close the throttle without a BOV or recirculation plumbing, the pressurized air will stop moving and stall the turbo. Blow off valve: What a BOV does is open a valve when you let off the throttle by way of engine vacuum, this allows …

Sure this has been asked and covered before. But I can't find it on the search so thought I'd ask again. The previous owner and maker of my Z removed the aircon, all of it. I assume in the pursuit of better cooling. I want it back. From what I can see the only part that could be a problem is the radiator/condenser? Have an aftermarket rad and oil cooler and the car runs fine. Even on hot days. On the odd roasting trackday it creeps up. So do I just put all the stock ac kit back on (what do I need and were does it go?) Or is there a compact ac rad or a smaller 1 off a different car I can plum in out of the main airflow? Please save the 'I think ac is rubbish and you don…

just aligned the timing belt and put the main pully back on, but have noticed the main pully mark sitting at around -10 degrees from the 0 mark. Not sure if this is correct or not, I was hopping not to have to strip down the engine front again !! ps. all the belt timing marks were lined up before I put the pully back on cheers

Anyone know the sizes for the lower clamps near the intercoolers. Mines are rusted to bits and I chucked them when I stripped the zed last year.

right here we go with parts needed for my new car. its a 1990 jap man tt, the clock cluster had been replaced some time back and i do know its had a new speed censor in the gearbox, now the issue is that when the ecu reconises that the speed kmp converter thingy box from kmp to mph this cuse its naff. this then sends a message to the ecu saying your doing max speed, then the cars stering into stiff sterring mode, so that said if im right, i need a kmp to mph convertor box of tricks thing. were the best most decend sound place to get one off these, luke at z center.i guess.

Well, it’s that time of year again. 6th September I’ll be competing in the Brighton National Speed Trials. The Trial is held over a track which is a quarter of a mile in length, on a straight tarmac surfaced roadway, running Eastward from the start. It’s a standing start individually timed event. I’ve not competed since 2011 where I achieved a time of 13.52 with a terminal of 108mph 2012 I spectated as my wife was due to have a baby and I was ‘on call’, someone also died in a side car crash. 2013 was cancelled due to the death in 2012. There is a fantastic range of cars and bikes and is a great day out for all. Entry list.pdf Think it…

  20. Hi all, Having swapped an engine in my uk tt manual, It is missing on the passenger side middle cylinder, There's no hint of a spark at all, I've swapped the coil pack & plug for one that's known to be working but still no joy! So I am assuming that it is down to the wiring etc on the car as appose to the replacement engine. Any ideas please as I'm definitely more mechanically minded that electrically. Thanks guys

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/171432664231?nav=SEARCH The zed itself is an undervalued car. But some people are taking the piss and over pricing their cars dramatically. I have just sent the following message to the seller. Upfront? Definitely. True? Yes I do not know if you are aware of the prices of the Z32. But yours I'm afraid is way off the mark. You will be lucky to get £4000 for your car. With such a poor advert and lack of information if this car sells I will be very suprised. If you wish to reconsider your price then email me back. If not then good luck, I'm afraid you will need it. I feel this will ruffle a few feathers and I'm not out to cause an ar…
