I started fitting a boost gauge today but I'm not sure which pipe I should break into to fit the T piece. At the moment i've got the pipe from the gauge through the fire wall on the drivers side (near the brake booster). It's quite short and will only reach to the LHS of the engine (as you look at it). I've search previous threads but everyone seems to hook up to the pipe on the passenger side (the one into the large hex connector thing, a tehnical term :), where the std boost sender is connected ). There is a small pipe connected to the pipe betwen the LHS IC and plenum. Can I break into this one? If not why not, surely it will be the same pressue as the manif…

Continuing on from my post about an in-car computer install and after talking it over with JD (cheers bud ;)), it looks like this may be do-able. Almost 100% certain it's going to be built around a PC/104 processor which seems well suited for the task in hand. As for the rest, a 2 and a half inch "laptop style" hard drive, floppy drive, CD drive, USB Key drive, soundcard, track ball, mini-keyboard and screen (touch screen if finances allow). Could anyone recommend some good sites to buy from? Any help would be appreciated! :) Cheers, Leigh

hey guys just given car first proper drive since having engine out to fit t28 hybrid tubs, when i noticed smoke from bonnet, ive taken off intake hose to find oil feed pipe union at tub is leaking!!!! any ideas of how to cure???????????

Just refitted the engine after a pair of 2nd hand heads and turbos. Been assured that the heads are from an auto, same as mine and were nice and quite before breaking. Car is all rebuilt, new platty plugs, oil flushed and replaced with Magnatec, new filter etc Car has not been driven as yet, only started and all the niggly bits sorted out, but here comes the problem !!!!! Helluva tappet rattle :mad: Been advised to drive it and the tappets will fill with oil and pressurise, but it goes against the grain to drive something that doesnt sound right. Double checked the timing marks and it seems ok, pressure test each cylinder and thet pan out at around 150/ 1…

How do.Can any one help me out on this one. As any one here got DENSO IRIDIUM PLUGS in there 300 tt.As i need to replace mine and i have been offered some. But i can`t find a proper reveiw for them on a 300 any where. Cheer`s. :cool:

I had a puncture, tried to put the silly little spare wheel on and it caught on the rear brake calibre so the bloody car woldn't go at all. Is there something I don't know? I think the spare wheel is the original Nissan one. Are there spacers missing or something Chris...sitting in a forecourt with some Smarties!!

My tt import auto has got two 4" diameter pipes that have started to blow, do any of you guys know a nice sounding, nice looking new stainless steel system for me to buy & if possible, get fitted !! I live in the portsmouth area. cheers!! oh & a rough price??

Behind the map lights is a small fan or gyro attached to what looks like a thermistor. What is it for? I've unplugged it and it doesn't seem to affected anything. Is it just extra fan for cooling the interior?

Hi... I recently trashed by passenger side alloys by hitting a rock hidden by grass. I was avoiding a 400MPH transit van on a single track road..!! So, I need 4 alloys and tyres, can't really afford new ones (the current trashed ones are 18", so not cheap..!!) So anyone got any 2nd hand to sell? I'd like 18" or 19" but to be honest it's a good price that I'm after really. OR where can I buy cheap new ones??? They're for a UK TT by the way.... cheers Scoobydoo

when does the fan infront of the rad supposed to come on. i put my air con relay into the sub fan slot as there wasnt anything in the sub fan slot and still it doesnt come on. any ideas on what to do now.

What is it with the z well mine anyway ive been having idle probs recently and its been sitting around 1500-2000rpm until fully warmed up then drops to about 900rpm so i thought id ajust the tps dont get how to test the correct volt with a multi meter :xxx: and then all of a sudden my side repeaters arent working yet hazards are. Saw a mint white Z on Las Vegas Blvd while on hols last week - SWB, big chrome rims, two big pipes and tunes blarin' for some roof out posin' down The Strip. Sounded sweet as! Fumbled to get the camcorder out in time to catch it, but the lights changed and it was gone before I could say "what lens cap?"!!!

Crashed a 1991 jap import manual twin turbo and unfortunately only on 3PFT insurance. This is the second crash and this time I wasnt being a prat. Engine is fine (just under 60000 miles) and the gearbox is good aswell. However all rads at front are knackered (and oil cooler etc) and the front bumper / bonnet are done for and it has done one light unit and pushed the front right in destroying the fan etc and bending the front cross member right in. Im looking just to get rid of it now and would like either some idea of what its worth or offers if anyones interested in a project. My trendy Blitz boost gauge has started behaving badly. It the Racing Meter DC series with the electronic stepping motor and the separate sender unit that can also be connected to water temp and oil pressure (I think) gauges. Is there anyone nearby with the same model that I could do a bit of swapping over bits to see which part has croaked ? Pretty please....

The fan seems to be on the whole time, is this the way it should be? If not do you have any idea why it would be? Cheers

been trying to read ecu codes! can you check them only once? i lost count then did it again and it read 55 all clear also with the screw on ecu which position should it be left in? as it was mid way when i found it!!!

Just got my first zed and what can i say fell in love with it. Have a slight problem, when i hit around 100kph i am getting a vibration from what seems like the front passenger side, someone suggested it may be the shock but anyone got any ideas how i can check this before i take it to a garage and get ripped off ? thanks
