I'm new to the board (and new to the world of the 350ZX) I'm looking to sell my current Mk1 MR2 Supercharger and step up a class to the TT, but I have a question (to which I can't find the answer in the FAQs) Is the most common spec a 2 seater or a 2+2? I'm looking for a 2+2, but if this isn't mentioned specifically in the ad, can I assume it's a 2 seater? Aside, it's a nice forum you run here! Lots of good advice, and I expect to become a proper part of your community as soon as I can find a good, but affordable, 92-ish TT 2+2 - and find a buyer for my emmy... :)

Am I correct in thinking this will be as laggy as fook? Or will it not be too bad? I'm not sure how restrictive the stock exhaust is... Tubs are TurboTechnics.

I'm just getting my ZX back together, after I had a couple of new turbo's fitted, trouble is that it's not running very well. The main problems are, tick over is up and down, some times just cuts out, blitz BOV’s not blowing off any more, one of my HKS boost gauges doesn't work any more, running very rich, petrol vapors out of exhaust, and a strange whistling noise coming from around the bell housing. I've had the turbo's checked, and they're fine, I think that one of the many hose's has been put in the wrong place. Nightmare! :confused: I've downloaded a schematic of the hose's but trying to figure it out is hopeless, I need photographs! Or best yet a wor…

whats the best method of getting the zed in the air to work under? currently I jack up the front with axel stands but would like a way of having it level with all 4 wheels off of the ground also what axel stands are best, I use halfords at the moment, but they arnt wide enough and cause jack scars. advice apreciated :)

Hi guys, I thought my Z was running a little sluggishly on the wkend so i reset the ecu. I took it 4 a spin later and it seemed a lot more responsive, cool :D however, after a running it 4 a while, say 10 miles 4 arguments sake, it seemed to go back to its more sluggish mode! i've also noticed that it doesnt hit consistant boost levels. about half the time it goes up between the last and second last line, but sometimes it only goes up to the second last line. the car's standard bar a custom exhaust (cat back). The ecu is also error free. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Cheers Pete

Hi guys, Got a prob I needed some help on; My cars been leaking coolant for a while, and I have been unable to locate where it is comming from. Recently I did an oil changed, and whilst I was underneath I was getting dripped on, I look up and there is a pulley wheel at the center of the engine toward the bottom at the front (just bellow the fan). There was coolant dripping from the bottom of this. So I suspected it being the rad pipes, that go into the front of the engine leaking, and dripping / running down onto this wheel. I took the cambelt covers off fan shroud etc to get to them, and they are bone dry, the coolant was still dripping from unde…

Folks, Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a (very specific) length of rubber hose? The small hose that feeds my (stock) boost gauge has split. It's connected to a pipe coming from the passenger side of the engine bay, and fits into the underside of a small black box on the driver's side towards the windscreen. It's only a small pipe, but without it my boost gauge just sits in the middle. It's split and been cut so many times that it just won't reach any more, and I need a new one. I tried Halfords and Homebase with no luck. I'm about to try AndyZ. Any other suggestions? Mike Feeney? Lemme know, Russ.

Just finishing the manual conversion and the alternator harnesses on auto and manual Z's are different. I've got both harnesses but the large connector block on the auto one has 6 pins and on the manual has 8 pins that go to a few more plugs on the end of the harness. I've been told I need to swap the connectors but surely I've not got enough wires on the car side to join it to? Anyone know of a wiring guide on doing this?

After most of the pipes have been replaced and the engine has stood empty for months there's going to be LOTS of air in these systems. How do I go about refilling things? Are the turbos and heads going to get oil/water quickly enough? How does the HICAS/power steering refill after a complete strip down? How good are the oil/water pumps at getting air out of the system?

Right, please help me guys, My zed is smoking on overrun, but only if the speed is aprox 60mph or more. now on looking at the Plenum its full of oil, so is the VCV valves and hoses. this is defo whats causeing the smoke, right here is the question, Where is this oil comeing from and why, Turbos and intake hoses are bone dry, also dont know if this is related but the metal pipe from the drivers intake cam cover has been blown out like preasure had built up in the cover. by the way the PCV valves, and hoses are all less then a year old. Hello all, Can anyone tell me where i can get the bulbs as above as i have tried all my local car shops and no one sells them, is a main dealer part??? While im on the subject if people like them, i have had a sticker made for the brake light (photo attached) andif people would like these then i can get them made up, not sure on price but def. below a tenner including postage, and can have any word put in and generally in your car colour. I think its quite effective thats why i need a new bulb as the 1st one in mine is dead. Cheers Ant :dance:

Just built my new bass bin today using chipboard and bits from my old bass bin. All nice and covered- looks the part, just a little smaller to fit the zed boot. Problem is, it dont sound that great. The old bass bin was the type where the speakers were sealed inside with a little perspex window and 4 ports for the bass to travel out. Building the new one, I have the speakers laid on the surface pointing straight out and still with the ports. But dont seem to get the rich low bass I used to have. Do you think I'd be better flipping the speakers so they point into the box? I'm sure I have seen this setup somewhere before.

:confused: as ive got a japanese import,as standard there limited to 112mph or 190kph correct yet how come if im driving down the motorway the needle goes all the way round to the 0mph and the rev counter is reading 7000rpm a seat leon cupra turbo couldent get noway near me! does this suggest my car has a delimiter already ` can i just buy some new clock faces EG 300kph any ideas on what may be the case! cheers greg :cool: :bow:

1st, oil leaking down next to right turbo, and smokes when hot, it is either oil feed pipe or rocker cover, how hard is it to take the inlet off? 2nd, there is hesitation when you floor it, it has full boost but tends to stutter. Any ideas what that could be, spark plugs are fine, new pressure regulator and PTU.

Do you need to put any of the packing washers in before fitting or are they OK out of the box. I think someone on here had a problem recently with them opening on idle. I've got T28 hybrids if it makes a difference.

I'm fitting Turbo XS dump valves and I thought they came with all the bits for a Z but it appears not. What can I use to blank off the unused air pipe? Anybody done this? Also the pipe that the BOV mounts to is too big for the BOV body :( Do these normally come with the right bits and I just wasn't supplied with them? I got them from Z1 in the U.S

I got 2 new O2 sensors but I'm not sure which is left and which is right?! They had different part numbers but they are not in the Nissan bags anymore :( There's a Bosch part number on each and one has a green paint mark and the other has a yellow mark. I would have thought they were the same thing on each side but there must be a difference. How can I identify them?

hi i have just brought a apexi avcr boost controller off ebay for my z just asking you peeps can some one give me some info if this contoller will be ok on my 300zxtt. also does any one now who does uprated turbos + fitting them as mine only have the stock ones and the rear seals have gone thanx :bow:
