I have just bought a Blitz boost controller and I want to up the boost to 12 psi but i have a Mines ecu that was fitted to the car before i got it. How do I find out if it is map is capable of 12 psi, Im running stock turbs Cheers Eddie I will be unable to reply until Tue night as i will be visiting my parants

Spotted a blue z heading southbound on the A34 just past Oxford this morning, 9ish.

Hi all, now I have anew Zed. But this time its an Import, few thing that Are different: (1) When I put the car in reverse (auto), it makes a beeb, beeb sound. But only when I select reverse is this normal? (2) When I put my foot on the brake padel a Red 'Lights' on the dash lights up. But the brake lights work. (3) What does the 'Power' button do? Hey guys, Bought my first 300zx a few weeks ago ('92 manual import), needless to say i'm quite enjoying it! ;) one question tho, the gearbox started to get a little noisey about a week ago - like a worn bearings type of noise, but u can only hear it in 1st & 2nd. I checked the gearbox oil and it seemed fine. Kinda strikes me as a bit odd as it seemed to happen over quite a short space of time. Has anyone had this or does anyone have any advice on this? Driving to work this morning with the front demister operating all of a sudden the car gave out a massive squeal and stalled..... A real 50p - 20p moment :shock: - the pounds fell before my eyes!! Restarted only for the squeal to return and a smell of burning rubber. However, turning off the A/C (econ mode) and everything was fine again. A/C on and engine goes off (when idling) :rolleyes: Is it fair to say the A/C compressor has siezed? Are these easy enough for a competent to replace? Are they better to buy new or second-hand (AndyZ?) If I buy new, should I get one for 134a (p/n 92600-48P00/1) or one for the older gas (-30P01/5). Would I ne…

My Zed just seems slow, Baggins has also driven it and agrees, I'm trying to work out why. The car is a '93 UK Manwell Zed, with a Mongoose Exhaust, Cat's still in place, JWT type Induction kit, ASH Map Chip, Greddy Profec Boost controller, Greddy Intercoolers. I've had the car up to 15.5psi with not a hint of Dett, the car doesn't smoke, however the car does run very hot, after Baggins stuck the conzult on it (no error codes) it was running at about 100 degrees! which is apparently fooking hot. The car has 115K miles on it and is due a Cam-Belt change any time now. The car seems to struggle higher up the Rev range i.e. I would expect the revs to rise faster from 5-7…

Hi guys, noticed that after driving my car for 20 mins its seems to loose power when i try to boot it. If i boot it a further 4 times it gains a bit more power each time. If i switch of the car and restart straigt away its fine again. I do have a prblem with the positive terminal on my battery working itself loose all the time which i will be replacing. Would this cause said power loss. watching the stock turbo guage its normally just over the last but one line. then it only goes as far as the 3/4 mark line then it goes back up but only to just before the last but one line. Am going to order a proper boost guage to be more accurate. The engine does not sound …

Saw a grey zed parked right outside my house the other day. Remebered I saw it for sale about a month back on this site and BEHOLD!!!!.... :eek: A guy called "Charles R" going to new zealand was selling it. Seen it round a few times on road but must be VERY local (or knows someone who is) So did he manage to sell it? Who owns it now? :confused: Parked my car right infront of it and left a little note on persons windscreens (cringing a bit) By the way its a grey one with kinda rounded spoiler and round triple tail-lights. Can I plug the harness from the alternator on the new UK manual engine straight in to my Jap auto Z? Or do I have to change the harness or alternator?

Dont know whats going on but if you can try and get hold of me as i need to know whats going on with the car as the sprayers have rang me twice today wanting a answer for when they will get the car, its getting hard for me now to make excuses as im running out on what to say to them! She is running kinda not well. Took out the plugs and its NGK BCP6ES that is in her. Previous owner, not me !!

I've fitted air-fuel ratio meter on pin 55 on ECU. Meter read 'max lean', when driving this stayed the same, when engine off and ignition on, it stayed the same. Then fitted to pin 29 and this read 'max rich', but when engine off with ignition on, this read 'optimum'. Car has been chipped. Any ideas??? Cheers

Here's the problem: So i took the Plenum off.....: Then i took the rocker covers off: Jeff (zworld) told me to check for gaps between the lifters and the cams, checked out fine, so now its decision time, what should i do next? I lost the Zed after work tonight at a roundabout :rolleyes: . I had only just picked it up from the garage, after a week for MOT and some other work, as well :( . I tried putting more gas on to drift out of the spin but there was no chance. The car spun 180 degrees and hit the inside curb. It sounded really bad :cry: . Thankfully, it was driveable at low speeds- though a little wobbly :( . I've never driven so slow before in the zed... :cry: . On closer inspection, there is buckling to the rear nearside lower arm. I want to replace this but need to know if the Jap lower arm is the same as the UK. Does anyone know? Duffman??? :) Thanks in advance…

Anyone have any ideas to as what could be the cause?? front lights work so do the brake lights... ive checked for fuse's etc but no joy. also the warning buzz that tells you that your lights are on when the door is open doesnt seem to work either...so obviously im assuming its related.... cheers jaz
