I own a 91 auto Jap import and am finding that when I put my foot down there is a sudden pick up then the revs die down rapidly until i take my foot of the pedal, also, when i'm doing approx 50 - 60 mph and slam my foot down she stutters to pick up sometimes not at all. do either of these sound familier to any one?

Hiya Think I'm looking to sell my Zed (said it before, I know, but I just got married and my priorities have changed). Need advice on pricing, and possibly whether anyone here might want it. It's a 1994 TT Jap, metallic blue, 17'' alloys, two new exhausts, 11 months MOT. All the usual (air con, targa roof). Its got about 81000 miles on the clock (I think thats what the kilometers convert to last time I looked). It had a 60K service last year and has hardly been driven since. Now the bad points.. It needs two new front tyres (they are legal, but only just because the inside edges are low, but they passed the MOT) Leather is a bit below par (especially the …

My Zed is off the road cos the exhaust needed to come off again!!! (Sore subject!) I was wondering if I could drive my brothers car on my insurance as the policy states that I may drive another car with the owners permission. The only problem is that he hasn't got it insured, but does this matter as on my policy it doesn't state that the other driver has to have the car insured? Cheers, Shaun

Spent the whole weekend working on the zed I purchased from Arthur a few weekends ago, which despite being a lovely car has skinned my knuckles enough, hwoever fitted the engine must have been ghenghis Khan and his brother , 1 non of the spring clips on the injector plugs were in place, so they were just push fit, the rubber intake pipe had the jubilee clip missing from the front end and the rear was loose, so was the double clamp on the lower end of the metal pipe, the story was the same on the other side, except that the front end of the metal pipe was oval shaped with some not so pretty hammer marks on it, several of the vac pipes were split , cut, or unclamped. the T…

I let Baggins drive my car at the weekend, he confirmed what I already suspected, my car just isn't as fast as it should be, so were thinking maybe the Cats have collapsed as there seems to be some restriction. How can you tell if they're working ok? And don't say Decat the fooker, because it's done 115K on original turbo's and I can't afford to replace them yet.

Does the inhibitor curcuit need to be shorted to allow the Z to start after a manual conversion or does removal of the auto box mean it will just work? If so how do I do it?

Where the bleeder goes on the drivers side wing, there are a few connectors mounted that obviously aren't there on a manual car. What are they and can they be removed or do they need relocating. The car has been in bits so long I can't remember what plugged into them.

Had all the panels off the interior today trying to fit front UK spec belts, but when i went to mount the bolt on the pillar the actual hole for the bolt has no thread for the bolt to go into. This seems very strange as the rears have the thread in the hole to mount the UK rears. Anyone got a clue as to how i'm going to be able to mount them ? Ta muchly :)

Anyone ever adjusted thir clutch pedal before. I've got an article on how to do it but it's a US version and they can take the side panel off to reveal the clutch switches. You can't do that on RHD's. Has anyone done it ?. If so did you just adjust the rod or the switches as well ?. also how ?

Anyone been in a Zed with these on? Was in an R32 skyline that GPS built with them today, and TBH it was fekking awsome. Not too laggy and mental top end. Very impressed. Just wondering if on a Z with decent manifolds it'd be similar.

Hi all, finally getting the Z back on the road after an 18month break (kak paying jobs meant she's been parked-up for a while). I'm really wanting to get the cam-belt done since she's an 89 model with only 50k on the clcok, but is really due a belt due to age more than anything, but not sure were is best to go now. Have tried to contact ******** but no response, any pointers greatly appreciated. Look forward to seeing some of you at the next meet. Dave
