Help!!!!! Major Compression Problem 6 ½ months in the making, and its F**KED. I have had a total rebuild from head to toe. Tried firing it up last week to find it was only running on 3 cylinders. Compression test show that cyl 2,3, and 4 are all below 50. “CAS” Rebuilt the bottom and I built the top. They say that the bottom is bomb proof so they are blaming the heads. They are implying that I have not seated the valves in properly or that the valves are bent. I can assure you that neither of these are the case. I have rebuilt dozens of engines using the same techniques with no problems whatsoever. CAS have said if it’s not the valves then it must be the foll…

I currently have front brakes from a R33 - looking on DBA's website if you buy replacement discs they come with calipers. why  Does that mean if you buy the R33 rear discs with calipers it would be a straight sawp for the stock zed ones? Regards, alex

My car has recently failed 2 MOT's. The first was because the lower ball joint had excessive play (bad Juddering if breaking over 60mph) had this fixed and still the judder was there. Went back in for another MOT and this time both Steering Rack Gaitors were split and N/S track rod end worn to excess. Ordered the part from Nissan (Socket Kit-Tie?) which is being done on Tuesday. Do you think this is the source of my judder or do you think the discs are warped? (Visual look at discs show now abnormal wear). Regards Marcus

Just refitted my engine in my 89 tt auto after 2 new heads and a pair of turbo`s, and took care on removal to mark all the pipes plugs etc. However, got several pipes that i`m unsure off, any advice would be gratefully appreciated. 1... Drivers side, 2 metal pipes runing along the side of the plenum, about 5mm in diameter, connected at bulkhead but where to at the front end ???? 2..... Where does the single wire, with the black plug from the air-con pump go to ??? Thought I had marked everything but made a boo boo off these 2 bits !!! TA !!

I was bleeding the front o/s caliper yesterday and noticed the pedal goes right to the floor with the bleed nipple open. Is this normal? If it is, how would the opposite brake work if i ruptured a brake pipe, as the pedal would go to the floor. My mate reckons the pedal should only go half way down when bleeding, and i have a fault in the master cylinder. Anyone know please? Cheers,

over the last few days a water leak has appeared im having to top the radiator up a litre an hour, at first some one said it could be condesation off the aircon cos it leaks all over the passenger floor well, it seems to drip a little and sometimes it gushes out like a mug full at a time, by the looks from what i can see it comes out the ducting for the aircon but dont no alot about it really and when i get in to start it the screen steams up fairly quickly, i would be grateful ov any help as im useless lol.

I've got an oil leak caused by what Nissan think is a shot main gasket, but they won't progress getting me a new one because my car is a Jap spec (90, NA) and so their "brains have caught fire" (as someone else has put it elsewhere on this site). Is there any difference between the NA engines in UK and Jap specs? If not, I will crib a UK serial number or part number, if someone could oblige please. Thanks for any advice.

hi all, ive had my zed tt for about 1 1/2 years now and this has never happened before, coming down a slip road today and booted it (auto, import, running on BP ultimate, straight through exhaust system) just about when the car kicks down the gears, wheel spin and then a few bangs and pops (backfiring), ease off the pedal, 5 mins down the road, try it agian and fine all the way home? I don't know if it hit the rev limiter or not but slightly concerned as to why this happend, can anyone shed some light on this for me? kind regards JIM :(
