For some reason, if I put my foot down before the engine has fully warmed up it will cut out momentarily as if there's a lack of fuel. It's particularly bad sometimes when trying to pull out of a junction. Also it stumbles/hesitates when cruising along or gently accelerating. Once the engine is up to operating temperature it's fine. I thought that it could have been a TPS problem but I can't see that causing the engine to almost cut out completely. Any help would be much appreciated. Shaun

just changed the hub assembly on my o/s front. after i fitted the new one, the abs light has come on. it was working fine before the replacement, so i don't think it's the sensor. have i missed something in the assembly process? is there something i should do to reset the abs? any (intelligent/sensible) ideas gratefully accepted. that means no wise cracks Herman ;)

What is entailed in replacing all the connectors that fit on top of the coil packs? Mine are all cracked and loose. Had trouble with them a few weeks ago and then again today racing a bimmer down the 329M started loosing power and warning lights came on- when I pulled up one of them had completely jumped off. Was thinking blue-tac and an elastic band, but it gets a bit hot round there  If I got hold of replacement connectors, how much of the wiring would I have to replace or can you just cut them close to the coil packs and join on to existing wires?

2 things. A. What sort of running probs would a faulty 02 sensor give you - would it cause car to run slower? B. I have an aftermarket guage and a HKS EVC Boost controller. On Idle the guage reads -21 INhg but the boost controller reads -478 mmHg Just wondering whether boost controller may need recalibrating or would a calibration not change the vacuum strength? Basically, Im just looking for other ideas for a problem whereas when revved and let go revs drop to 200 and sometimes stalls - it normally does this when coming down from high speed to a stop and the car just stalls. Could a battery problem cause this as I notice a fair drop in revs when…

after looking in rad noticed rusty crappy looking water probably not been changed for 10yrs lol found it easier to remove the radiator itself, that way you can tip it up and flush all the s**t out of the bottom,as iwas replacing the viscous fan it made it easier to remove with rad at same time! ba**ard to get off,had to crank the engine to get to the underside of the nuts, big thankyou to smw1[stu] for the viscous coupling, she aint whinning anymore bud!. to top it off though,i noticed one of the ancillary belts was warping over the side, after i put the rad back in and attached all the pipework, dident want to have to pulll it back out to slacken off the tension,so…

Changed the pcv valves today to stop the smoking, but when I was doing the driver side on I noticed that behind the valve there was a pipe which looked like it should have a pipe on it but there was none there. Also now when it's on tick over it still smokes but if I hold the rev's at 1500 or above there is no smoke, also there is no smoke at any other time just when it is on idle. Any one got any ideas or hellp with the missing pipe?

Wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this. I recently fitted some new wheels 235 front and 265 rear. Since fitting these the car can be a bit scary at high speeds as the rear tends to skip about a fair bit. It never skipped around before fitting the new wheels and tyres so I dont think the bushes need replacing and I have checked the shocks and they look fine. The only thing I can think of is wheel alignment and/or tyre pressures? Does anyone know the correct pressures for 235 / 265 tyres (guessing around 33 / 36) Any suggestions guys? cheers as always Chris

Hi all, I think I may have found an equivalent to PFR6B-11B which ceased production some years ago. Unfortunately I'm having difficulty getting the original specifications of PFR6B-11B so would appreciate some help if anyone has an old/new PFR6B-11B lying around. Even better would be if someone could send me a used plug. Why NGK stopped making this plug is a mystery. I need a measurement of the total thread length from the base of the metal shell (not the gasket) to the end of the shell (not the end of the thread). Also a measurement from the end of the shell to the outside of the ground electrode. The plug I'm thinking of is available in standard copper an…

Are there any direct rreplacements for the front speakers that don't require an redrilling of holes to mount them. Call me a lazy sod, but the hassles of replacing the rears with some 6x4 Kenwoods where the holes didn't line up just pissed me off too much
