Was just wondering something. I have come into owning a copy of the Nissan Fast parts catalogue. Which is pants :xxx: . I was wondering if anyone had the Courtesy CD ROM and if it was better/different. It certainly looks better and easier to use judging by their site. Ivan

Something that ive been meaning to ask since i bought my zed but i could never be arsed.. Should the spare wheel fit snug and level in the bit in the boot? Mine is too big and only fits in a bit, leaving a big buldge (ooooooerr) in the carpet. It is a space saver and its got japanese writing on it so i guessed it was the right one?

My electric adjustable driver's seat used to be fine. Now it'll only go back and forwards a little bit. It sounds like there's something in the way, blocking it but i can't see anything. Any suggestions what might be wrong? Thanks again guys* :hyper: * I assume most of us are guys. A woman in a Zed? Preposterous! Although the only reason I need my seat to go all the way forward is cos my girlfriend drives it and she's shorter than me.

Ive just disconnected the Battery and will leave off for 1 hour. When I reconnect Ive heard the ECU goes into Self Learning mode, what does this do? Should I drive normally while it does this, or do I thrash it? Does it really matter. Thanks in advance. Barry.

I know this has all been covered a million times before but I cant find what I'm looking for.. MOT time looming and I'm a bit concerned about the reverse light conversion on my import. I'm not sure its going to class as a fog light to any one with eyes in their head! Thinking of doing the inner brake light conversion and having both reverse lights again. Sure I saw a wiring diagram for that conversion posted here once but can find it . Anyone know where to look? Cheers David

I just had my standard import stereo replaced with a decent, new Sony system. I asked before hand if there would be any gaps around the unit and was told no. It's been fitted and there are quite big gaps as the car's an import so they can't use the plastic surround which goes at the front of the stereo. Is this true? Is there any way of getting a stereo to fit properly into a Jap 300?

Spotted on the side of the A611, at the Bestwood Roundabout of the Hucknall by-pass. N reg 300ZX N/A, in white, two ladies inside, one in the back and pone in the passenger seat. Would have stopped to see what was wrong, but had to drop somthing off, but decided to stop if you were still there on my way back. But when I returned there was a large white van behind you. Hope you got sorted.

Hello, I am a brand new user here and have just purchased a Zed and need a little guidance please. I have searched the forum but as I am a total nightmare with anything mechanical nothing makes a great deal of sense. I got the car at a great price, followed the buying guide and everything came up to scratch, however at idle the right (drivers side) exhaust 'splutters'. The idle itself is very smooth and performance wise it is superb, the left hand exhaust is smooth as silk. Once the car has been running the 'splutter' tends to disappear for a while but if left to idle, after a few minutes it will start again. One of my mates reckons it may be running …

I got my exhaust done on friday, its a straight through from the downpipes (no cats or silencers) Picked the car up and drove it about for a day and everything was fine! All of a sudden the car started idleing very badly and keeps cutting out on idle! Iv checked the following items Resetting the ECU for the exhaust system, cleaning the TPS and its not a vacuum leak either! I got a mechanic to quickly look over the car and he mentioned that he thinks the timing might be out! Does any1 have any ideas what is up with my Zed as time is dearly running out! Could the spark plugs be at fault here! He also mentioned its miss-firing alot! …

I've just taken delivery of oil temp and oil pressure gauges. They both have senders (sensors) with them. My question is, are all oil pressure sendors the same, i.e. can I replace the one on the car with the new one and wire both gauges (new one and OEM one on the dash) into it or do I have to have both senders installed? Thanks guys, Al. P.S. I got a boost gauge as well so I can finally tell what boost I'm running :hyper: . Is there a rough guide to expected BHP vs. boost pressure? Sorry, one last question, I also got a set of the same gauges for my brother who has an S14a, do these have oil pressure senders as standard or does he have to get the su…

I am told by a reliable source that if I hold the footbrake and accelerate until the rear wheels start to slip - then off the brake and boot it, it is possible to do a fairly impressive standing burnout in my auto :hyper: ? having tried it last night i have to say the results are v impressive   very starsky and hutch   what I want to know is is this gonna cause undue damage other than a bit of pad wear -until the wheels start spinning and some rubber loss?? if it isnt the best way then what is in an auto (apart from fitting a line lock which I am thinking about) cheers
