Hi When ideling, if I turn my lights on the revs drop about 100 rpm, if I close the window and continue to press the button after it has closed the revs also drop. Also when I pulling away with my headlights on, about a second after I pull away the light dip very slighly for a fraction of a second. I have checked the battery and it is fine...

As i was wiring up the car for some fog lights i needed to disconnect the battery......... About an hour later i rec-connected it and drove off the pick up the missus when it warmed up i put my foot down and noticed power that wasn't there before,could the ECU somehow have re-set iself? When she drove it she also noticed it was quicker?????

My has been missing recently so I checked the car out and found the AAC valve connection to have broken off, so i replaced the connector and now the AAC valve is connected, but on idle the car is on a costant 1500 rpm, I have also swapped the AAC valve and still have the same problem, what else can it be??? CheerZ

Im gonna get the TPS cleaned but if the car still idles funny and doesint sound to good when idleing and still has the hesitation! Then what else could it be, someone mentioned a vacuum hose maybe responsible! Guys i need help as the car needs to get inot the sprayers on monday and its gonna get delayed! Any1 Fas

hello guys. just thought this might be of help to you as you know my zed has been of the road now for 2 years ( no jokes please its breaking my heart ) LOL!! :shock: ok then the zed is in my garage with the rear of the interior stripped out no front or rear bumper no doors no roof glass ( roof panels completely stripped glass removed) its all coming off to do a full restoration and respray with a nice body kit, i thought it might be usfull to tell you lot if any one want to know what is behind any of the panels or trim or anything to save you stripping panels of your own zed :hyper: hope this is of some help to someone ;)

I need the part no.s for these two hoses the one from the balance bar to this thing and the water hose underneath cheers

After my recent post about all the parts waiting in my garage waiting to be fitted and all the other peoplein the same boat! It struck me that maybe some of us in the local area should get together and have a day where we all help do one small task on each others cars, any takers?

just did an ecu check comes up with code 55 great!! did left&right o2 sensor test fine!! 1/was going to post some pics but cameras not working,basically on the ecu itself theres a metal badge about 6"long saying STEALTH is that normal or does that mean its been uprated. 2/theres a loom coming out of the ecu not connected to anything just lying next to it WHY and whats it for. the reason i did an ecu test was a general thing really,and ive been getting alot of smoke on start up.and oil build up in the backbox i thought turbos but its only on start up once been for a 5min run its gone and doesent appear at all,boosts all the way up and pulls like f*…

been out this morning and taken the mig tips out my car trying to get it to run as close as poss to standard taking it back to gear box place tomorrow but it still runs at about 11psi on a after market gauge how come its higher than standard a chip wont up the boost will it? steve

I am taking delivery of my 92' zx twin turbo(black) from Japan in two weeks time. I have been reading up on it and buying a few bits in preparation but I have a few questions. - I am trying to get a new set of wheels for it, however most of the local 'boy racer' shops obviously cant cater for the car. I was thinking of putting on a set of eighteens with 265's at the rear and 235's at the front. Is this a good set up? I was advised by the local 'boy racer' shop that they could get 265's on all round, surely this is going to affect the handling? Any trusted wheel dealers names and addresses would be gratefully recieved. - The only other real change I want to make to …

my trusty z starts brilliantly, you can leave it to tick over no problem, but if i drive away, it will stall when i stop the car, until the engine temp warms up to about half way. This means i have to slip the auto gearbox into neutral every time i come to stop, until it eventually reaches the correct temp. is this easy to put right, or does it have to go to the nissan dealer to solve it??

I had my exhaust fitted to the Zed and collected it on friday morning! Its from the down pipes, straight through to the tailpipes, no silencers or cats! The car had been driving well yesterday until this morning until this happened! Everything seemed fine but all of a sudden on the way to my mechanics to fix a squeaky belt (was told later it was the viscous) this morning, i started the car after a quick dash to the cash point. I heard a rather loud whining noise which faded away after 20 secs of driving BUT the car was hesitating and idleing very badly! My mechanic who was not able to book it in as i was only booked in for a squeaky belt to be fix…

Can anyone help, Just a Z chipped and i've put a set of 1.2 m boost jets in. bit it still only goes up to 9psi, there is a slite air leak around thr back . think it a vacumme pipe off the balance bar, any ideas

my auto fairlady tt ticks over in neutral @1500 rpm... does this sound about right?.....also any advice on what type of coolant, oil (brake, trans' and engine)....plus tyre pressures....sorry for all the q's its just it didnt come with a drivers handbook.......... regards chris

bit of a silly one this....have discovered my Z didn't come with the locking wheel nut key, so i have to remove them now with minimal damage! have heard a few ways to do this....has anyone here actually done it successfully?

I just saw a brand new burgundy Volvo S70 with red neons switched on in daylight! They weren't even mounted properly and you could see the tubes, fittings and wires hanging down. What is the world coming to when someone thinks neons look good on a big classy car like that?! :xxx: :xxx: :xxx:

Hello there, I have a problem with my car; all the air vacuum pipes appear to be mixed up. I and the mechanic have no idea which pipes go where? The cars been in the garage for over 2 months, I was wondering if anyone can help me out, by supplying some kind of a air vacuum diagram? Follow on from my last post, anybody know where in south kent I can go to get a conzult diagnosis, can u hire them or borrow them via a club etc or do they have to be used by a trained mechanic????
