    Can't stand the heat any longer, so need to regas the aircon system. Is there any easy way of checking that the compressor has not seized before I go to the trouble of getting it regassed?

    Can anyone show me a pic or explain where this thing is, im suffering the eratic tickover problem that everyone else seems to be having, ive done the tb's, just wandering what other things need a blast of brake cleaner. Hard day on the car tommorow, got to do the oil, brakes, stop the zorst rattling etc etc. Many Thanks. :)

    When I eventually get the Zed back with everything fitted, it will be running the following: Smithy stage1 tubs, underdrive pulley, JWT chip, Apexi filter, decent exhaust TBC, Profec B II. I was planning to have a max high boost setting of bewteen 15-16 psi. Not gone the 550cc route (yet!) so injectors are probably up at the top of their cycle. Will the standard plugs be OK with this or would some 'colder' plugs be better?

    Help please I have a recent import 92 Jap spec TT Has the standard radio crippled frequencies, plus sony CD player. Can I fit a standard UK radio without major problems? What is all this about speakers with built in amplifiers?? thanks

    Has anyone had same prob? Any advice please? The front o/s brake caliper was making a creaking noise, turned out to be a sticking piston so i took pads out and eased piston in and out a dozen times sprayed a bit of WD40 and it was fine for about three weeks. Happened again, same piston so i did the same and also replaced pads as the sticking piston was making the pad wear more at the top. It was fine for about 2/3 weeks again. Now its sticking again. Does anyone know what might cause it, could it be a ridge in the barrel? Would a piston seal kit cure it, and are they reliable enough and easy to fit? Do i need a new caliper and should i replace them both or just on…

    Anyone got a spare PTU i can 'borrow', so i can swap over with mine and see if mines gone belly up. A few notes: - Idles for 3 Secs Then Stalls, Whatever the Temperature. - Heavy tapping on right hand bank. - Will rev up to full range (so i know its not in safety mode) - New Plugs and cleaned all Injector Connectors and Coil Pack Connectors. I merely want to illiminate the PTU as the cause, if anyone can lend me one i would appreciate big time. Thanks to Cos and Phsyco for the help. Superb

    Unfortunatly my usual Garage is snowed under with work (C and S Wood). I want to get my Turbos replaced ASAP with the nice weather etc. Who else in the Bolton/Manchester area are recommended? If anyone can give an idea of their costs too that would be great! I know through a mate that Grasshopper are doing a Z's Turbos at the mo.. Cheers Rossy

    G'Day, just bought a 300ZX TT 1990 (import) ... just got it registered last friday in time for the Modified Nationals show... on the way down the rear felt very unsteady.. a lot of sounds coming from the rear end...upon arriving at the show I checked the rear driver wheel... the car had dropped and was next to no room at all between the tyre and fat arch bodykit...bits of melted tyre all around the arch... As the weekend went on...I took everything out of the boot weight wise...seemed a little better.. then when I tried to go home...the rear was sooo shakey and yet again making a bit of noise.. so called out the AA to tow me the 200 miles home Not sure if this has any…

    My traction control seems to have gone a bit strange on me. Has anyone got a dat file (I think that's the format) they could send me ?: I have 265 x 35 x 18 on rear (eagle F1 tyres) 245 x 40 x 18 on front (eagle F1 tyres).     Hey Guys, The other night i took out my Z32 and you would be sitting quite happy around 2000-3000RPM then suddenly jump right up as if i had the clutch in, when i take my foot off the accelerator it goes fine again, this happened twice. Also she idles quite high when first starting her, could be linked not sure. Any Ideas?

    Started doing my service today and changed 4 out the 6 plugs- but run out of time to do the last bastad two at the back with all the stripping down + the barbie needed lighting and my :duffer: Stellas were ready :dance: So, when I take off the old fuel filter- is there anything to look out for? Just wondering if I need to fill new filter with fuel etc- wondering if to avoid air in the system?? Oil change next- I take it thats a piece of pi$$?? Sorry for all the dum questions, but its my 1st time under the hood of the zed so bear with me :)

    Is there some kind of switch that is actuated when you press the brake pedal that allows you to take it out of park ? Where abouts is it ? Sometimes I have to use the red over-ride lever. Thanks John

    I'm in need of help! Went to go out in the Z this afternoon and started her up (not used for just over a week) and it started okay and sounded fine, then after about 50 yards it sounded like it was missing, popping...... ....And wouldn't go over 2000-2500 revs.... Went back home lifted the bonnet while running and 'wiggled' the TPS connection and the idle/running picked up and sounded okay, so I took it off cleaned it and put it back on, started it up and all sounded great, gave it a 'quick' touch on the throttle and it sounded fine.... ....went out of my road onto the open bit by mine and went to give it some stick, 2500 revs and nothing, no higher an…

    I still have the same problem, start the engine from cold, ticks over fast at 1-2000 rpm, then as it warms, slows down......then fooking splutters and coughs to a stall. My heater matrix blew recently, so i have overidden the the matrix heater pipes by joining the two pipes up on the engine bay side, no the the matrix inlet pipes, i've join the ones on the engine. Have i missed something? Another funny thing is happening, you know it has 3 inlet manifolds eigther side right, well the left hand side manifolds get very hot very quickly, whereas the right hand ones stay cold, and i mean cold, is this normal? I'm guessing not. Is these problems all related, see…
