Can anyone give me any suggestions? - I need a new set of boots on my 17" rims. I've got 235/45s on the front (currently Goodyear F1s) and 255/40s on the rear (currently BF Goodrich). The roadholding has been pretty good in all weathers with this set up, but I'd be interested to know what you all recommend - and where I can buy them CHEAP! Must be available for fitting this weekend too. Thanks for any sensible sugestions

My Stock Boost Guage and TIM after market guage have always given very similar results. One time the connection for the TIM guage fell of and both guages didnt show any reading. Its been fine for ages, but this morning when i floored it, by stock guage read 7 (jap spec) and my TIM guage only read 0.2bar. I gather it must be a leak somewhere but how does the stock guage still get normal reading. PS since fitting my Dump Valves (Bailey) my car has no Vacuum reading at idle, so i guess this need re-diong.

i blocked off my pcv valves today but left the hose that comes from the rocker underneath the plennum open, and also blocked off the turbo inlet pipe that goes to the rocker breather but left the pipe on the rocker covers open its the ones by the throttle body's hope i havent lost you  i did this to try to find out if my breathers are faulty or its my valve stem seals, as it is set up now the breathers breathe straight to atmoshere and dont go into the plennum or turbo intake hose, :nana2: so just got to work now after bout a 10mins drive and i opend the bonnet, looking at where the battrey is there seems to be oily smoke coming from the hose that…

Hi guys. I don't yet own a 300zx but am pretty sure I soon will do if I can get good answers to these seemingly silly questions. First of all will I fit in it and be able to drive it? I am six foot eight and too close to 20 stone to be comfy and so need a car I can get into and drive without a problem. Second, what sort of fuel economy are we looking at. It would be a manual turbo model I would be having and have a decent length journey to work and bacvk every day. I'm not a fast driver normally (hhhhhmmmm) and do try to conserve fuel. Of course there are times when the silly part of the brain takes over but that is the price you have to pay. Thanks very much for…

Who was it trying to keep up with me northbound on the A34 last night  You pulled off the at the Cowley turn whilst I boogerred off up to Bicester. I noticed you allowed me to run the gauntlet of the bloody gritter lorries (car looked like it had been sand blasted this morning) I'm assuming you stayed behind me or was it that you weren't ableto keep up  lol only kidding..

Just an update on a past thread.Took the motor in today to "Chipsaway" in Shrewsbury and fair play in about an hour the two dents were gone and door back to normal.I know £90 + vat sounds high, but well chuffed to have it back to normal in so little time.Could only describe the bloke as a magician.(Lot cheaper than a body shop).Don't know if all Chipsaway operators are as good as Keith,as he had got 26 years experience in this type of work.

How do you replace the hose that goes from the air box to the turbo, the one you put boost jets into. I cant see where it goes as it dissapears down into the engine. Do i have to remove anything first? or do i get to the hose from under the car?

Just got some adjustable camber arms and a gauge so I can set them. Anyone who's done it (or used the shims) tell me roughly what length / spacer size they used as a starting point? Was thinking with the arms being a bit shorter, the dynamic camber change is going to be greater, so probably best to aim for the lower side of the spec.

Hello Guys, I have noticed that my left bank of LED rear lights seem to have a problem  From the outside set to the inner light set, the Leds seem to be very dim and not all lighting up ?? ie: the outer ring on the indicator is very dull :( but then get brighter nearer the centre rear panal. Electrics is not my strong point so some pointers would be appreciated

when people refer to a worn turbo seal - is it the bit that sits inside the main turbo that the fluid bearings sit in that hold the turbine shaft? or is it a seal somewhere else :)

Anyone know of any history on this car, went to see it to day nice looking car although has got a few marks on the paintwork, seems to have no oil pressure one minute then it rises rapidly then go back down and doesnt move at all think it might be the gauge?? It tends to run hot although when the fan cuts in it does go down, also when you put your foot down it goes well but not as well as mine as mine tends to kick down twice and fly,now may be it is mine that is not right or maybe it is the silver ones, any information on this car would be useful cheers http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18290&item=4527356896&rd=1&tc=photo

Hi Can anyone advise an understanding car insurance company. i am looking at increasing the power of my Z to around 400BHP. boost controller de-cat, intercoolers, Z centre body kit. But many insurance companies do not want to know. who do you guys use, or explain to insurance. I have found that if you give them every detail, they do not want to know. concern if i dont give them all the details may not be covered. i tried Elephant.co.uk they came back with £600. Has anyone used livingstones from the Z mag?
