Having an electrical fault sorted out on my car at the moment (engine wouldn't cut off when ignition switched off). Seem to have got to the bottom of that problem which is a faulty EGI relay. Now the bleedin' thing won't start! Apparently its getting fuel and a spark but won't fire. Any ideas what to look at next? :mad:

Just fitted a sus blitz induction kit, now when revs high get a whistle noise. Thought police where after me first time it happened. Tightened all the screws wtc but still there. Any ideas what it could be, didnt do it before i fitted it.

so whats this talk of forged pistons then, done a search but still cant find an explanation!! gonna rebuild my engine should i go for forged, are they stronger so i can run higher boost, my stock pistons melted like ice cream in the summer LOL!! mainly due to detonation :smash: can i use forged with the standard rods, not looking for mental bhp just a good solid bottom end, je pistons look good with total sealed rings, not a lot to spend so how much for these forged jobbies, cheers fellas

I need to replace a coupla fuses and when I came to do it today, I found that the fuse box "guide" is totally japanese (i was hoping for at least a picture of the item...) Can anyone let me know what fuse is where within the box? Specifically the rear wiper! :smash: ta in advance...

Hi folks, ive had my 300zxTT for a bit less than a month now and im well chuffed with it. Ive just got round to sorting out the speakers that keep popping, i removed the rear ones tonight, and was surprised to find they are plain old hatachi 4ohm 20w jobbies. i thought the ZX's came with BOSE system as standard? or was that just an optional extra. the speakers look like theyve come out the factory like that but im not sure the subframes are un touched. will go to town tomorrow and get some uprated ones to fit in their place. could any one also tell me if the front ones are the same type/shape, then i can just get 4 while im at it. cheers,

Half way though a job on my back, taking the belts off water pump and powersteering, undid both adjusters and the adjuster clamps, the whole mechanismns are loose so I know there is no interference, but the fooking pump and alterator are still solid and the belts tight, they were off only a month ago so I know there not seized, so it must be the mounting bolts, but the fact I'm on my back I cant fooking see em. anyone got an image of the mounting bolts locations, I,ve looked throught the manual and its not got any detail. Dave

Hello all, I am buying the HKS exhaust of Yaseen :dance: and am picking it up from him In Leicester on Sat 5th March, does anyone know of anywhere that I can have this fitted while I am there as he says it wont fit in the Zed to bring back so I have no choice but to fit it while I am there. If anyones knows anywhere or is willing to help me :duffer: :duffer: it would be great just really dont want to pay stupid money just to undo four bolts. Thanks all, Ant

I've been reading posts about problems getting the tub timer to work with the alarm. Did a search and found on http://www.autowatch.co.za an alarm with turbo timer. It's the 456Rli. Has anyone heard of these or used it?? Cheers Andrew :cool:

OK so had a bit of a run in with a telegraph pole on a slippery bit of road, wasn't being silly and I'm still kicking myself! Nobody else involved except me and the pole, only my pride was hurt! I've had the car less than a month so ok I've not really had a chance to get too attached, but it's my first Z and I really liked it. I'm just thankful nothing else was on the road at the time! Going to call the insurance company a bit later on but would appreciate any opinions as I don't know where to start! To top it all off I just paid out for 2 new tyres on Monday and an Induction Kit off Danny on Tuesday, don't think I'll have much use for that :( I used to like the snow…

Hello readers, New owners here. We have just bought a 1990 jap spec auto TT 2+2 and are going to have a million questions. It was an impulse buy and judging by the cars on this site I think we paid over the top but that's history now.......we can only put that down to experience and hope we have a good car. We don't want to do anything too drastic but can anyone give us an idea of the most useful/most common/easiest modifications to make bearing in mind our limited mechanical knowledge? just got back with me mate who has just bught a 300zxtt and on the way back done a standing start you now what i mean when i was realy supprised as mine is a n/a zx300 with apex induction & powerflow exhaust and ther was no or next to no difference to a100 or there abouts :dance: . i felt good but now thinking hes bought a slow one . what do you guys think.

Right...Im getting ECU Error Code34 - Det Sensor circuit (Det sensor or Wiring harness failed) :cry: So..I've decided to bypass it becuase : a. "Most" Det damage is done above 3k, but the stock sensor only works under 3k its usefullness is limited. b. I always run Optimax. (So less likely to ever get Detonation) c. Im on stock boost( So less likely to ever get Detonation) d. I cant afford the massive job of having the det sensor replaced e. Will get it replaced if I ever need an engine out job done. A few months back Jeff gave a tip of how to stop the windows rattling when the doors were shut. Basically, take of the bit of trim on the door pillar and tighten a screw. Anyway, when i done this i was a bit over enthusiastic and shreared the screw right off. :xxx: :slap: . Now when i drive over 80mph the wind starts blowing in. Its nothing serious but just bloody annoying. Any ideas how i can fix this? Cheers Scott

Ok, all has been ok with the car, untill T-Pot starts playing... removed my boost jet's today to see what size they were, placed them back in, and now my boost seems all to cock.. at tick over, the gauge used to sit at zero, and now, she drops as soon as started to a minus i'm only running 0.5bar and have not had a problem untill i removed these today... what have i done?
