I've just bought a '92 300zx TT and its having a service and tune up next week. Can anyone recommend what replacement sparkplugs I should buy? The guy in my local motor factor showed me some new type that he said would improve performance and fuel economy, i cant remember the make but they were around £90 for 6. I bought the car off Donald - he said he'd Vijay in Kilburn had done some work on it recently - are you out there mate, can you recommend anything?

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone else has had this. Basically the car runs fine until the boost level reaches about 10 psi, it then runs on 5 cylinders but if I let off the throttle it recovers and runs on 6 again. It seems to be worse at higher revs i.e. plays up at less than 10 psi. I've individually checked all the coil packs and plugs and they're all A1. I haven't checked fuel line pressure and noticed that cylinder no.4's plug seemed to have a little fluid on it when I removed it shortly after running it. I thought it could be an injector stuck open but surely it would run badly at lower boost and there'd be lots of black smoke. Cheers Dave

Not after technical stuff, just wondering how different they are to drive. Is the NA got much in the way of performance, or is it far inferior to the TT. How tuneable ae they? Are there any differences internally (except boost gauge)? Any other differences? thanks for your help

Could someone please tell me what the darkside is? I know this is a potentially silly question but I want to know if its as obvious as it seems or if theres a dark secret behind it?

Hey guys Here goes... I have one dead z (k plate) and one lovely z courtesy of Jaffa (g plate). I've swapped various parts over from my smashed z, the main ones so far being the ECU and Bleed valves. The car feels really strong but it will not boost over 11-12 psi and thats with the bleed valves nearly totally open. I was running 13-14 psi on my old one. I still have the standard air filters and exhaust on at the mo Any ideas? Also, i've taken the dash out of my old one so i can get the speed converter and its a little box with 4 wires coming out of it. Simple enough to wire up but my speedo used to cut out around 120mph. Could it be this box doing this? The ne…

Now you can put completely unsuitable wheels on your Zed, lower it to within an inch of its life, pimp-job paint-job, paint yer calipers dayglo, and all without spending a bean or inflicting it on the general public  http://www.modifymycar.com/home.html

can someone please tell me the following please 1) which two wires do I need to take a feed off the ignition for a push button starter? 2) I have some more switches but they are only push button ones on my steering wheel. so they wont turn something on unless you hold them down if you get what I mean as there not on/off switches. I believe I have to put an inline relay to make them work as on off switches is that right if so what kind of relay? Im capable of doing these things but have not specifically done this before so a step in the right direction would be excellent. thanks ;)

Start my car from cold, and i get good oil pressure one it warms up i notice it drops, and drops to 0 if i idle after driving slowly (usually stuck behind somebody). Notice tapping from engine and a little oil spoke out of rear. Pull away drive slowely and next time idle, tapping and smoke gone but oil pressure a 0. Boot the shite out of my car, the idle oil pressure back to normal, and idles at 1 on a jap spec guage. Sound like the oil only really getting round my car properly when im doing more than 300rpm. i would say shite guage but tapping and smoke, tend to point at shite pressure. Am i right in thinking oil pump needs replacing?

Just had a new set of front and rear brake disc's installed along with a front and rear set of porterfields. I used speedways.co.uk for the rear discs instead of 3gbrakes.co.uk. 3g wanted £120 for a rear set of discs while speedways charged me £98 including delivery for the same brembo discs. just thought I'd mention it. Try to save people some money. It's quiet strange driving around without creaking brakes. :)

I hope this is not going to result in another expensive repair but the other day I was 4-up in my Zed and noticed that I was unable to show off due to the clutch slipping everytime I hit the fast peddle:( Ever since I have had the car the clutch biting point has always been quite high. When in the garage the other day for a routine job I was told that I have a slight leak in my clutch slave cylinder, would this be anything to do with this or is it time for my next mod, an uprated clutch! Thanks yet again guys, Justin

Help me again, I recently asked for advice re fuses for the interior lights and the stereo going off. I have now located every possible fuse to the lights and stereo and checked them all and found they were fine! Does anyone else have any suggestions. Basically I was replacing the interior bulb, it lit up for a fraction of a second and then nothing worked again.
