TPS 5.01v constant, replaced ECU/TPS reset error codes, TPS is functioning as revs rise/fall on operation, kick down U/S, gear change instant "neck braking" Anyone?

3 wide arch pearl painted 300zx, with lots of graphics, driving line astern down the naas road, up the m50, and onto the m1. All 3 had N.i. plates as far as I could see. Is it anyone on here. (they looked like race/drift cars).

At last! After a long winter z is coming out of hibernation. Booked into Z Tech at end of the month to get it serviced and to sort out the niggley problems that drive me insane! I am also looking for some ideas as to what to do next. Was going to go wide arch as wheels were rubbing but a smaller tyre seems to have sorted this out so now open to suggestions. At present z has: HKS downpipes and Mongoose exhaust system HKS sidemount intercoolers HKS Mushroom air filter Greddy e Manage (full kit with all accessories and software) Apexi AVC-R Boost controller (set at 1 bar) Unorthodox Racing full pulley set Brembo R33 Calipers/Discs/Porterfield pads…

Hi - my handbrake warning light has just started to stay on while I am driving - it comes on with the ignition and stays on even when the handbrake is released. What does this mean and what do I need to do about it pls? If u get a feeling of deja vue here, it's cos I posted almost exactly the same query re my HICAS warning light a coupla weeks ago. Have sorted that one now thanks to your help. Must be a month of warning lights for me .

has any one reconditioned their lifters? I know it is possible with z31 lifters but was wondering if you can do it with the z32 lifters, and what degree of success can be expected

Hi all, im up in Birmingham next weekend (acocks green to be precise) and i need somewhere to fill my NOS bottle. Im having major problems down south west getting any at all. BOC wont supply, and neither will anyone else unless its medical not automotive. So i thought whilst im up in the Midlands id get it filled Anyone know where i can get it done ? Thanks for any help

As some of you may know I'm currently in the market for some new alloys to finish off my project Zed. I was dead set on getting 18's and have always sworn that I'd never go any bigger for fear of f*cking up the handling, however...there is a distinct possibility I may be able to get hold of a set of 19's in exactly the style I want in the perfect width fitment (8 1/2" on the front, 9 1/2 on the back) for a VERY reasonable amount of money. So, my dilemma: should I go for it? Would there actually be any detrimental effects, and if so, what would they be? What do we reckon people? Really don't want to screw things up! :) Cheers, Leigh.

hi guys i have a question , what difference does it make driving round town if i turn off the overdrive on my auto 300 tt , apart from losing a gear ?

Are they all the same fitment? I.e. each one the same setup? TA.. :)

Hi There - nice board - must join the club now I've bought one !! **remind me 'cos I'll forget** Anyone taken on board an "unknown" car (like I just have) and decided to **overhaul** using some sort of priority schedule? I have no history for it and it drives well, straight and starts/runs/brakes without any fuss. Fuel lines I think are going to be a problem - switching on the aircon when engines cold first thing creates a bit of a stink in the cabin... I'm going to sort out the fuel lines first so it doesn't become an expensive firework, but then where to next? 1st reg from Japan with 96000 km - so I guess the 60K service wasn't done...should I go the w…

a few of me mates have oil catch cans on their motors. one has it on his supra and another on his gti-r. Whats the deal with fittin one on a zed , is it possible , is it worth it??????? cos they recon it certainly is so at least u wont have that oil inside the intercoolers, but have no idea if they right or not.

This may be of some help those who have a hesitation at around 2k rpm or when backed off or very light on the throttle. I have had this problem for a few months now and have finally found the cause after much changing of parts ie ptu, tps , lamba probes, water temp, injector connectors and spark plugs all of which made no differance to the hesitation. What i have found is that the dam hard to get at EGR valve is to blame ( my only problem now is how to completly disable the dam thing while the engine is still in the car) I have temporaly removed the vac line to it and blocked the soliniod outlet, then taken a syringe and pressurised the valve to complety close it then tra…

what do most people use for a spare if they have 18" alloys?? obviously the space saver is sized as a spare for standard 16" or is it ok to use as the tyres are smaller on the 18" so it ends up with the same diameter as the 16's???

I hate to ask such vague questions...but is it possible to predict a ball park power increase/money ratio when tuning a TT ZX? If you were to spend, say £1k, what kind of power would you be looking at? Likewise with £2k? I'm just curious, as it would be some time before I can even afford a Zed...let alone to tune one up :D

can anyone help please? not long had my 92 300zx tt and when i leave it in the garage for a few days the battery goes flat. i have put a metre accross the live side and found a 1 amp drain with nothing switched on. the only thing i can add is when i remove the looped fuse in fused link box the leak disappears.

Toying with the idea of a home respray. I am going to primer the bodykit over the next week or so. If it goes well I am going to chance spraying in colour. I could always ask a bodyshop to continue or rectify :o if it turns out messy. Anyway question is How much paint to buy for Car, Full kit and Mid level spoiler... Am I right in thinking 2-3 liters? Hi , I am thinking of buying another Z32 , I miss the old feeling of sitting in the car and looking in the rear mirror and seeing jaws drooping :-) I have seen a lovely Z but i've been told it need a new heater Matrix (Which he has got but needs to be fitted) ? I know nothing about these any ideas of cost for fitting them has i guess its a pretty big job ? Any advice ? CHEERS DARREN
