driving to work this morn an got steam comin out of bonnet had a look an comin from under the 2 meatal pipes that go into engine from the rad any ideas anyone cheers

Can anybody here please tell me what exactly is nerded fo rme to convert my lovely 300zx twin turbo into a manual the auto gear change makes it feel like such a waste of power. If someone can be so kind as to tell me what i need ad how much i will need to spend in order to get it done ??? has anyone on here had this done to theres?? Fanx guys

All within reason as its not a race car :cry: I need to keep the rear seats(luckily there only foamy sh#t) The rear spoiler must weigh some but it needs to stay. Hi- please can anyone tell me the absolute legal point on this- I booked a Z (unreg'd) in for an MOT. Drove there, tested, driving home and got pulled by Traffic Police. I explained the situation and they were not convinced that it was legal to drive without any plates. However- they were not sure and are going to check it out. I got a "HORT1", I'm sure the law states that even an unreg'd import can be driven to/from booked MOT without plates, but try as I have, so far I can't find anything I can refer to if I need to debate this with the police. My missus has been driving the zed around for the last week, and she mentioned on monday that the oil pressure guage is down near the zero most of the time. I checked the oil and saw it was a little low, so filled it back to 3/4 full.. started the car and everything sounded nice.. the guage was reading somewhere between the 5 and 9 (jap car). Thought ok... just low oil however, she said again yesterday the car was back down at about 1 or 2 when she was driving and sometimes stopped at zero when she was stationary. I checked the oil again last night and all looked fine... still about 3/4 on the ol' stick.. So I took the car into work myself the m…

Can anyone help me find a decent place to get an Alarm fitted in or around London? I know Bob does them in Chester, but thats a little too far for me. I think I'd go with the TOAD Ai606 (?), with pager, as I seem to recall that it's quite highly recomended. Cheers in advance.

I've decided to improve the handling of the car instead of upping the power...for now! So, would I be able to fit the poly bushes from Z-Centre myself?? With the car up on jack stands and normal tools? Or would I have to get a garage to do it??? Cheers guys :D

Got firing positions sorted. Now faze sensor is up the spout. As in its been moved. How do I set it up properly. I carn't even find it on the on line manual.

How much am i looking at to get this fixed? How major a job is it? Any advice? Thanks Dai

Guys, thanks for all your help and advice on my other tread. There is one more thing I need to know, well, two really. 1 = Insurance. I'll be 25 when I get the car and need to be well covered. Do you know of any good insurers who don't charge the earth? I may or may not mention that it may well be an import. 2 = Are the cars the same? I mean are the UK and JDM cats the same size and things like that. In other words will bits from this country and the US fit a JDM. Thanks again all.

Anyone recommend a reliable garage/mechanic in or around the Preston area who could replace a worn turbo? other half told me he could do it seeing as he completely rebuilt his sierra cosworth engine but he's started taking some bits off and decided he can't be arsed doing it! :mad: any idea's roughly how much it'd cost???

Ive never fitted any aftermarket seats before - but ive got my eye on some Nismo seats. Apparently they dont come with fitments for the Z32 - just wondered if anyone knows about this ? Or can tell me if its easy to fit seats on original or adapted runners ? Thanks for any help - Mike

Decided to finally take the plunge and get a new set of 18" alloys to replace my lovely race-look 17's and finish off the Zed's new bodywork. I've been looking at a particular type for some time now but have finally got round to chasing up the details in earnest. Basically it's between these two (I posted these ages ago, but here they are again!;)),the Boss XTT and the ACE C036 Aviator: They're both now available in an 18's but it's the width fitments that I need advice on. I am thinking of putting some extra gauges in the slot below the stereo. Was gonna put water temp, oil pressure and turbo boost after reading all the posts regarding the inaccuracy of the standard gauges. I have found the centre console gauge fascia from the zcentre, but can anyone suggest what sort/make of gauges to go for? :confused:

As above and also are there different colour wires for each in jector. Big do putting new looms and connetors for above on and auto sparks has done one after stripping all old connetors off and left no indication of which has come off which. :headvswal :mad:
