im looking to do my valve stem oil seals in situ, does anyone know where i can get this valve spring compressor?? spring compressor part no. KV10111300, it bolts on to the top of the head and allows the spring to be compressed without removing the heads!! cheers.

Anyone got a set of APEXi Twin Chamber Blow Off Valves on their TT. Just had a set fitted and I'm now having problems with the car cutting out at junctions. It's OK when the choke is on, however, as soon as it's warm and you dip the clutch approaching a junction to drop a gear, it cuts out. The car is also running with a Blitz SUS Induction kit, however, this was fitted 4 months ago and has been fine. Could this be a series 4 problem??

Right then guy's. Those of youwho have changed your switch pack (the ones around the instruments) to LED's - have you got any of the actual LED that you used? Are they the bulb holder type or the LED with the 2 wires hanging off that need soldering in? Thanks in advance Ivan

I need help ive got the dreaded blue smoke coming from my exhaust, But only happens when tikking over and only comes out of drivers side. It doesnt smell like burning oil and my car runs ok, if i have the demister on in my car it doesnt smoke but if i have the auto and econ on it smokes like a trooper please help im praying its not one of my turbo's :confused:

Do I get my moneys worth on this site :nana2: I think so :hyper: Question The computer tells me I have an open or closed circuit on the detonation sensor, I think I may have found a dodgy piece of wiring, but cannot get to it at the moment, can anyone tell me, in this condition would the computer retard the ignition or leave it in the normal position.? as this could explain the lack of power I am experienceing at the mo. Ok.. so thanks to the great thread by aply named "OilMan", I've got meself some oil and a nice new filter... But how easy is it to replace the oil? I mean, is the filter (I've not spotted it from the top looking down) in an easy to get to place, or do I need to start ripping bits off to get at it? Basically, I'm wondering whether to do it in one of my lunch breaks or after work... OR... wait until the weekend, where I've got loads of time.... anyone? :mac1:

Hi All, Just a quickie here. I've got a manual and was just wondering what you guys recommend, or what should be used, in the transmission. I just ask because the place I bought my Z from stuck the wrong MTF in the Honda Prelude my mate brought from them (they just used some standard MTF or something instead of the Honda one, which over the longer term is a very bad thing according to the owners forum) so I suspect it's a possibility they've done the same to mine. He's got a pretty notchy gearbox at the moment, which the dealer is sorting out after he provided them with the right fluid. Just wondering if you can jump start from Zeds :confused: or will it do damage to the electric's and alternator? Havn't had to do it yet but just in case theirs a damsel in distress would be handy to know. ;) Im guessing not coz there so finicy on electrics although normally u wouldnt think twice if it was a banger (car that is) :x: :D

When I clean my alloys, the spray-on wheel cleaner chemical gets on the brake calipers and discs. The next two 'stops', the brakes don't work as well, but then they're ok. Could the wheel cleaner cause any other damage - soaking into the pads, washing away grease or damaging surfaces - it seems like strong stuff?

How on earth do you change the direction of the air? mine always comes out from under the windscreen and on the very odd random occasion comes out of the console vents where i want/need it to come out from! yaseen

Anyone know what size speakers i would need to replace the front door speakers??? Also which are best suited for the 2+2 Z, bass boxes or tubes for the most bass ???(i still need to get my roof in) :confused:

:eek: my car has been parked up since end of Oct, due to fooked zorst, finally got around to changing it today but and it's a big BUT. started after about 10 sec's turning of the key :hyper: drove it out of the garage both pipe's smoking. not worried about this, condensation i thought, norm after being stood a while. i'll drive it off. this is where it turns bad, got car up to normal water temp then give it abit :eek: . not to much poss about 5psi. SMOKE. i thought i'd set the road on fire, Now the zorst i fit was second hand and had trace's (alright then quite alot) of oil in the pipe after the cat, so what i'd like to no is. If my turbo seals have gone would it smoke a…
