Has anyone here tried to dye the fitted matts in the zed? I have a set of 2 tone gray ones, that i need to dye black, then get the edges re bound, and have no idea if there is a special dye to use?

While under car yesterday,i noticed that the tub housing has A/R 48(intake side)written on it,they were recon jobs last year at Turbo Developments with 360 bearings,not 100% sure but i believe Skyline GTR T28s have A/R 48 on them,so would this mean i have bigger housings Tony

Hello All Just got my car MOT'd today, got an advisory of some structural rust on the INNER sill, near to where the suspension link bolts onto the chassis. Anybody replaced this before? Is it a straightforward job for a good body repair shop? I want a repair to last obviously, so don't mind getting the sill replaced rather than patching it over. Any good body shops near to London? Its started clicking when going up, does this mean i need to replace, or can i just repair it? i think it was caused by a build up of dirt ,as when i sprayed wd40 on it to free it one day the dirt was unbelievabl

Hi, I've loved the 300zx ever since I saw one as a child and now I'm (and they) are a little older I can finally afford to buy one and insure it! I am going to buy it as a second car so it wont do a hugh milleage which means the TT is viable :p I have tried to research the different models but There are a few things I'm a little confused about... Is the 2+2 actually longer than the 2 seater version? Are there any implications on handling/performance? Is a targa top alot heavier than a solid roof car? What is the general reliability like? I think I will struggle to find one which hasn't been thrashed (are there any?) so do they stand up well to a…

Hi Guys stuck in work at the mo and not got a lot of time so only done a quick search and not found the answer, so comming to work this morning and exhaust started to blow, got underneath and its my downpipe --Passengerside .......knackered. Hve a spare set but thought about decat---- would this be worth it on an N/A. what do I do with the recirc pipes. Pete :(

:confused: car is running like a pig! will run under 2500 rpm above that is like its running on 2 pots. I think its vacuum fault but not shure, as its when the turbos are coming in as if no petrol? any ideas would be helpful thanks in advance allan

Is there anyone near me (Darlington area) or thereabouts, who could have drive of my car and tell me what's wrong with the steering / suspension. I mentioned before about problems with steering to the left and being well bumpy. I just can't put me finger on what it is. Is there anyone there who reckons they could tell what the problem is if you drove it. Want to get it fixed soon, the Z is gonna be my everyday car soon so want it to be ship-shape. Cheers guys Jon

Hey my third post, sorry jus discovered this forum for UK ZX peeps. Basically i got a new battery put in and reconditioned my altenator. Thing is b4 getting a new battery n reconditioning it, my car wud have the power light on when i wud put my foot right down and sumtimes power wud cut out if i was braking to go very slow. Now after getting a new battery n recon alternator, the car cuts out hardly maybe once in a month, n the power light hardly cums on. But after this alteration this shud hardly happen so im assuming the person who reconed the alternator didnt do a proper job? Or cud i be gettting a power loss elsewhere?

Well basically my cars smoking like hell, and my left turbos is blown. So basic question is do u guys think im doing the right thing by getting them reconditioned and im paying 500 quid to get the engine taken out to access the turbos. Once they are accessible im thinking of sending them to http://www.turborepairs.com/ whom are charging 195 quid for each turbo. I've been told if the damage is worse i have to pay more. The mechanic who is gonna do the job says that the job hes gonna do mus be crap if its that cheap. He says im looking at least 300 quid for each turbo. I live in west london near heathrow, so if u guys cud give me any advice it wud be much appreciated. If im…

I'm putting me side lights in with the 99'spec indicators-just wondering if this is ok legal-wise? Where's Paul when you need him? Wouldn't have thought it a problem as the fogs combine the side lights!-if you know better t'wud be appreciated! :)

whats the best way to attach a rear overbumper to the zed , what with ?? It has no holes or anything drilled so gotta start from scratch. Also is it best to spray on or off , or remove the rear bumper and then attach the overbumper . which way do i do it? help !!

Hi there folks, my very first question....hopefully I can get some help...I am currently in the process of restoring the 300zx i bought around 6 months..little beknown to me , it is a pile of rusty bits stuck together, if you know what i mean....I currenty am now needing a rear sub frame for it..I have tried Andy at supercar parts , but to no avail..any ideas on getting a very good condition one??? thanks again :headvswal

Have had the car off the road for 2 weeks now fitting my BOVS and I've had to abandon the job whilst I order some silicone hose :rolleyes: Not sure if anyone would have done this before, but would there be any problem running one BOV and one original recirc for a week or so until I can finish the job properly? does anyone know where i can get a stroker kit for the Z? there's loads for hondas but i cant find one for the VG30DETT. think i'll stay with the VG engine after a bit of a commotion over getting an infiniti engine and if im going to have to do a rebuild im going to use tasty stuff. any ideas/contacts? cheers. si. :smash:

:confused: Just been looking at the dual air induction kit on ebay.Looks a nice bit of kit ,question I've got has anyone bought & fitted one (would be grateful for any feedback).If fitting one of these with the 2 filters will I have to make any adjustments? .Will the kit mentioned alter sound of car noticably when drawing air?Any advise on induction appreciated.

Yello, Im installing my ACV-R at the moment. Where have people mounted their boost detector? The little round black thing with one hose going in to it. The only place I can see accessable is by the cruise control thing. Thanks Stuart
