just wanted to check something.... 1. when the car goes into safety boost it reduces boost to 7psi and retards the timing ? 2. when u fit an electronic boost controller the ecu can no longer reduce the boost if it goes into safety mode, but it still retards timing ? ...so if you have a electronic boost controller you could be running around in safety mode with retarted timing(affecting performance) and never know it without running a ECU diag ? ...also do aftermarket ECU's (such as JWT) have their own safety modes built in ?

Hi, can anyone tell me if there is an alternative to buying strosek body kit parts direct from Germany? I really need a new rear spoiler and liked the look of this, but I'm toying with the idea of going full wide arch at the same time and I understand a few of you have had strosek 'replica' arch kits fitted. I've mailed PPS for some advice, but any comments in the meantime would be helpful!

Can someone give me a photo of the fuel pressure regulator and tell me if the factory boost solenoid is dual or single? Also can someone give me a photo of the actuator wastegate as i've no idea where or what it looks like...... areid@empiredesign.co.uk

the light up 300zx on my 93 t/t is flickering on and off. i know its an led but cant see anywhere where i would find the earth ( which i think it maybe) or any other ideas where to look ?

i know andy duff dose this but i understand he is on hoilday, and im in abit of a rush. Any one alse out there who can do the hard part of this work or has one to sell ???

I think mine is playing up on my manual box but the one on my old auto box is almost brand new. I think they are different but can anyone confirm? I'd have a look but the old box is at my parents...

Hello All Is anyone running an HKS EIDS to try and cure the stalling / cutting problem on lift off when running vent to atmosphere bov's? It's not such a prob on mine at the moment, but my bov's are set to a very low tension - just the occassional pop on lift off. But a few members are having big problems with stalling on theirs. Does anyone have the 300zx logo (as on the rear light panel) or the font that will work on a Apple? I need to make up some vinyl stickers and can't find a font that will work or an image to redraw. :headvswal

I know that the Skyline GTR ones do, but I've had my Dad (who's in the motor trade) looking for a set of Brembos for me. He called me this morning saying that there's bloke selling a set from a Porsche 911. Will these fit, and what other modifications would I need to make for them? Also, in case this falls through for whatever reason, which other cars' brakes will fit on a Z (and be an upgrade, obviously!)?

SPC **** if i remember rightly. Silver 2+2 with deep dish 5 spokes. Single exit exhaust at either side. Very clean! Pretty sure this is the same car that was for sale in Victoria Cars in Kirkcaldy about 2 years ago. Seen it in Buckhaven after that. If its the same car, ive had a test drive in it. :cool:

Silver Z with rear wing and multi spoke alloys and tinted windows! The D1ckhead peeping and waving his arms out the window of his Rover 75 (light Blue) with his Son was me!!! You pee'd me off, as my son said that’s a nice Z Dad int it! Its almost identical to mine bar the rear wing and wheels! (My wheels are nicerer!!) LOL

over the past year ive only driven my zx tt 1k miles .In that time its had a full service ,new o2 sensors ,cambelt fitted ,after spending 3k on the car ive now noticed thick white smoke coming from the exhausts its a jap import with a bomex exhaust system the car drives fine any ideas what the problem could be cheers also the turbo boost is fine

Runnin std tubs on 15psi with jwt chip and huge exhausts..... Whats best/gives more performance...Honestly...Does it make a difference. Will an extra filter be wasted or will it increase BHP??? Bearing in mind im gettin JWT tubs as soon as these std's blow.

Hi, My mate has a 2001 Almera (1.5l). The yellow engine warning light is on the dash and engine cuts off every 2-3miles. Seems better is he goes under 40mph. Any ideas?

Apparently you have to reset the ECU when fitting the A'PEXi filter and some say get a air/fuel controller. To reset the ECU i understand that you just Disconnect the battery and reconnect. Is this correct? :confused: Also...Will i need a air/fuel controller as im runnin a JWT chip with 15Psi and Big shiny exhaust :dance: If so where do I get one from and how much are they to buy and fit :confused: Any comments welcome...Especially if there derogitory :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Need New Discs and pads on the front - Cheepest place to get standard discs??? Got excess play in front steering rack ends, Costs? Solutions? Excess play in rear offside steering rack end, (Inner). Sorry it's a bit vague! It was dark, and you were fairly close behind the car infront, so I didn't spot you were a Zed till almost level. Silver / light grey / white I think, stock front. I was heading towards Fleet train station from the East- you were going the other way- I flashed :D Mark

Can one of the elctrical bods help with confirming what the EGI relay controls (that is in the fuse box under the bonnet)? I am trying to trace an ignition related fault and just need to be sure its not part of the circuit. Most people post on here that their cars won't start, mine won't stop!!! :eek: When you switch off the engine keeps running (and no it aint a turbo timer, I've spent the last two nights tracing wires under the dash to make sure). I think I have now narrowed the problem down to a short in the ignition circuit or a knackered alarm/immobiliser

Hi I'm an ex 300 owner who is hoping to soon return to the fold, really liked my old 300. I've been offered an import 300zx which has a faulty "Brake Master Cylinder". The car is in Japan and I'm not mechanically minded so I'm wondering how big a job is this to do on a manual 300 TT? Any input appreciated.

Saw a red ZX with a high level spolier along with two 4"? exhausts at the back going into Blackwall tunnel today. Anyone here?
