Hi guys My name is Simon, I am 23 and an alco.....sorry, wrong forum! Anyway, I currently own a Citroen Xantia Activa, which I am selling in order to own another 300zx, the last one I had for a day and took it back as I was 19 and very silly, and decided I would end up killing myself. Anyway, I wish to get one now...it will have to be a twin turbo, manual, targa top. The thing I am confused about is the difference between LWB and SWB...and which is better? I am looking to spend around 3k, but could go slightly higher if needed. Any advise would be welcomed, and anyone with a car for sale..... :) Thanks in advance. Simon

what is the cyl comp on a TT?

Hi all, wondered if anyone can help..since yesterday i have a sort of er..rattling/scrapy sound coming from either the back or front wheel..it happens when i press the brake but then carrys on for ages and then goes away, then if i go over a bump or when i press the brake same thing happens again..im hoping its just something simple on my brakes, but now im thinking maybe the wheel bearings or maybe something worse..anyone had this? thanks Ed

And dont say clip em... How many bolts... are there any hidden.... thanks. pps it seems simple but just checking before i get in alot of mess.

Just a random question really to see if the route most people take here is the route I have taken on other cars.... 1) Rollng road check to see what it is running. 2) Air filter 3) Exhaust 4) De-cat 5) Change plugs leads to colder grade 6) Boost contoller 7) up boost Pretty basic first steps really but just seeing if the z goes the same way assuming basic boost is 12-13 psi waht can u run safely on standard chip, turbos etc...equally what kinda power and how much of an impact on mpg...the mr2 didnt really cahnge much

ok lets say you have new turbos fitted and lets say the drivers side is bellowing smoke out on tick over like it was when the old turbos were on ,what would you do?i have had about enough of this car.

Could have been Saturday or Friday morning, I forget now, memory isn't what it once was.

Right had a big problem with the lighting of the car and all I thought was ok except no lights on the dash (chunk thinks its a earth problem) Now driving home around an un-lit plate (usally everywhere is lit) and my normal lights are really really crap Side lights work, when I go to normal lights the lights with the round lens come on but are are really shit (100w bulb in there) Should any other lights be on? e.g the main light having 2 elements? My full beam seems good and turns the lights off with the funny lens, I know something must be wrong as the lights that are on as the light beam goes out to the side and there is no light lighting up the road…

A Blue one parked up in Burfields car park, I was in the grey jap that "tooted" you, then saw a very nice, shiney black G reg(roof off of course) driving past "macky D's" at Cosham. I know there's quite a few Zeds around here, but haven't seen either of you before!!!

First time Ive managed to get a few pics today, since all the work. Put one of the new wheels on to get an idea what they look like. Although they seem to fill the arch out better (being 10") im still liking my original Pacifics (9.5"). Heres some piccies.

Right got car back today (after 5 months) with 2nd new engine fitted. Just want to hopefully confirm my diagnosis. When picked car up it was randomly popping like mad so went straight back round to Nippon Spares who had put the engine in. After a bit of fiddling about they swapped the ecu temp sensor over for another one - a used one. Now the car only very occasionally pops, usually when at low revs in 2nd or 3rd gear at a roundabout for example. It never does it at high revs for example when coming off throttle having given prolonged acceleration. Based on the fact that changing the sensor for another used one has improved things am I right to assume that if I replace bo…

Just two quick questions really.... 1...which is the more relaible while the TT is in standard form? 2...which is the most reliable/stronger when the car has been modified? or I guess theres a third... 3...If the box needs modifying while engine is modified which would be cheaper and easier?? Is this a serious or expensive problem to fix?: replacing the propshaft coupling on a 300zx TT ?

I am driving down to the south of France in 3 weeks and would like to make my car as reliable as possible beforehand, what should I do? My car is pretty much standard except an HKS mushroom air filter and decat exhaust (done 18mnths ago and no smoke from the back as yet...touch wood) the previous owner had the radiator re-conditioned about 6 months ago. Often when I start the engine it idles at about 1500 rpm for about 10 minutes and then it settles down to 750ish and the exhaust can be a bit blowy but not too bad. I was thinking about flushing the rad and topping up the coolant which I assume is a good place to start. Would a new intercooler, front or side…

Hi guys, desperatly need some advice as im mid through (fooking!) my big brake upgrade.. I got the old disc and the caliper off without too much hasstle and thought all was going well. Came to fit the bracket for the caliper and realised i didnt have a 10mm allenkey for the those bolts. Thankfully a neighbour had one so got on with fitting the bracket. Thing was no matter how tight i tried to get those bolts the bracket was never really firm against the car and you can twist it! Its as if it needs an extra washer, but clearly that will adjust the spacing of the caliper. Im worried now i might have stripped the threads out of the zed in either getting the ca…

Ok , for some days I have had a bad middle silencer with the baffles going in it, now i think this will be affecting backpressure causing sluggish boost which it appears to be true. but now i have another problem, I am getting smoke on engine start up and revving, I took the car for some hard full throttle runs and the smoke clears up and the car runs fine but boost is down from 12.5 psi to 11 psi, I have put the boost drop down to the extra backpressure having a effect on the tubs as surely there would of been smoke on boost if the tub seals had gone, the smoke on start up seems to smells like it is running rich, the car has a nistek chip from andy and i have heard these…

Hi guys, i need a new front bumper as mine is cracked due to being lowered and ****y speedbumps. Anyway, I would like to buy a bumper that will utilise all the original front lighting (fogs etc) so i dont have to buy new lights too. Can any of you reccomend one? Red zed goin into natwich thurs about 11.30 ish had 300 in numberplate aftermarket spoiler mid level, i was in blue wagon in front of ya stucking me thumb up like a derranged plonker!

had a problem with my aftermarket central locking, traced it down to the power supply ( its not getting any ) strange thing is it has a supply from what is the fuel pump relay supply(large orange wire in the relay plug), this worried me cause i thought the car wouldnt run with a dead supply , starts and runs fine. checked the fuel pump fuse in the engine bay and have discovered that the fuse has been linked with a piece of wire. How is the power suplied to the relay is it through the fuse first or is it relay first , and how is the car running if the relay isnt powering up? Appreciate any help with this folks
