Sounds stupid. I feel that I should know but I havent needed to change a fuse up until now then bang I do. I know theres one under the bonnet but its my side lights that have gone and that one dosent seem to have a fuse for side lights? Thanks. :bow:

Hey guys, WHen u have the air con on or the heater on econ, is there a mode where the front and side vents should be blowing out air, cos all i'm gettin is the footwell and screen blowers working. Bit confused i can't remember whether it was like this on my old one, so i thought i'd ask you guys! Rich

remember last week I changed my oil pan because I had no oil pressure, everything looks fine so I reassembled everything. then I tried to check the oil level, the dipstick got stuck!!!! :eek: No kidding really stuck!!! It move like a 1/4" I'm about to remove the whole thing again.... :( Any Idea before I start.

right this weekend I am going to fit my uprated gearbox oil cooler(flushed out engine oil cooler!!) to my jap TT. have a couple of questions. 1. when i take the pipes off the existing cooler on the side of the rad how much more pipe do i need and whats the best way to join em. 2. do i need to block the outlets on the rad cooler? 3. does it matter which way round the new cooler sits? 4. Am i mad to attempt this at home? cheers

What’s written on your oil bottle and what does it mean. This post may seem like going back to basics but I am constantly surprised by the amount of people who do not know or understand what is written on a bottle of oil and therefore no idea of what they are buying/using. To be blunt about the subject, if a bottle of oil does not contain the following basic information then DO NOT buy it look for something that does! 1) The purpose for which it is intended (i.e. Motor oil, Gear oil etc) 2) The viscosity (i.e. 10w-40, 5w-30 etc for Motor oils and 80w-90, 75w-90 etc for Gear oils) 3) The specifications that it meets (should contain both API and ACE…

Hi guys hope you can help me out here! I have a replacment plastic surround for the dials (the bit the lights and ac controls bolt to and has the autobox light and Hicas warning lights etc. on) as whoever had the car before me wrecked the original! Anyhow went to replace it last night and realised that the immobiliser LED is fitted from the front and there are no connectors on the rear to remove and the cable seems to run through the bulkhead to the alarm system. Question is can I cut these wires to this LED and re-join them without sending the imobiliser into some sort of safety mode or just screwing it completely? Hope you can help... :)

Just checking my fuses under the bonnet on the nearside front of the car and found the 'Engine Cont' fuse to be blown... i've been driving around with this blown i think for a while...what in layman's terms does it do? would it be the cause of my revs nearly dropping to stalling point?

Driving me mad, mr popular with neighbours at 6am driving through the estate. on of the belts for either the power steering or alternator is squealing like a bitch still. Takes about 5 mins of driving before it stops then when you put some power down it squeals again!!!! Tried WD40 and it doesnt work anymore (did at first) Belts are both tight prob too tight now in fact - Stopping by a garage to have it slackened off Someone said they used 3 ribs opposed to 4 for the power steering - I thought unorthodox was 4 ribbed. from what I remember the alternator is a proper gates belt but the power steering is a cheap jobbie. I am looking for some advice. I am getting ready to take the plunge and get my first Zed having got a stupidly low insurance quote for either a UK or Jap import Twin T! Does anybody have any tips on what to look for when buying a Z as I don't want to look like a :xxx: when I buy a shitheap abd get the full I told you so from the old woman :rant: Also, does anybody know of any good reliable Z dealers? and will I get a decent car for my £3,500 - £4,000? Hi there, I have had my zx now for about 18 months and now its starting to show its age so time for a respray. I just cannot decide whether to leave it standard or add a bodykit. I wanted something fairly easy to fit with no major hassles. If i add a new front bumper from zcentre (such as scarab or carcept) will i have to add the side skirts etc to make the appearance look "equal" from the sides. Ideally i would like to add new front bumper, rear spoiler and change the rear light panel, so just modest changes. In addition i have seen some decent 18" alloys for sale. They are 8" front and 9" rear - i was thinking of 225's for the front and 245's for the rear but …

Hi there I know there are some posts on this already, expecially on the plastic trim that tends to crack away to reveal chrome underneath. I've read about boot polish, plasticote (?) and even black insulation tape to make it look better, so I was wondering if any of these would do the trick. Would like to get 400bhp from my ZED it's a UK manual Been on 300.org went to upgrades and looked at stage charts from stillen and SGP, (this bring's up NEW ZEALAND 300zxOC) it show's 405BHP at 14.5psi is this poss on a UK car? What can i get for £500-£1000? Any help would be good, phone number's Web site's etc.

DOH DOH DOH, lol Had an air con man round cause I thought it was outta gas. Gas was fine. But the pump wasnt running. Checked the relay and that was ok. Found that the earth on that relay wasnt switching. So we ran it to earth and the pump came on. Only problem was then I couldnt turn it off on the buttons. Checked the pressure switch, that seems ok. I think when he bridged it out the pump came on, but again had no control on the buttons. Checked the buttons on the console and when pressing ECON on and off (with AUTO on), its sending a signal to somewhere. What else was funny was that the electric fan never came on at all???? i posted on a thread on saterday explaining that my car went on the rollers and the chap said more boost i was running the leaner it was getting. so i thought i post the photo off this too see what you guys think etc. the numbers on the right are the LMBDA the 1st line is at standerd boost the 2nd is at 11psi the third at 1bar as you can see on standerd boost its about 0.8 but more boost it goes up a bit.the chap told me this isnt right and should stay at 0.8 is this correct??he told me to fit i uprated pump which smithy said i shouldnt need (said it would cost 150 quid fitted) (the last section blue line is at 6500 rpm) (the other lines are the hp ) cheer…
